Wonderful home stay in a beautiful traditional house. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had Grab deliver dinner since it was a rainy evening and they had no problem finding the location. Breakfast in the morning was outstanding with a small but varied menu to chose from, and it was so nice that it was included. We had a very clean private bathroom that was outside our room and a few steps away thru a common area. I’m not sure that was clear to us when we booked but it really wasn’t a problem. We would stay again if we return to Chiang Mai.

Lovely family who runs it and own the house. They preparing excellent breakfast and help with everything you need. The building is a beautiful wooden structure which gives you great authenticity about the local traditions, also filled up with great relics in the living room. Room and bathroom was clean , Ac was perfect and if you need any assistance , they are always helping you. Parking available for 1 car inside. A great place and amazing people!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house in general has a very cosy atmosphere- especially in the evening when the lights are turned on. Because it is build out of wood it‘s not really soundproof. Speaking of us, that wasn‘t a problem- we enjoyed hearing the birds and nature in general. Breakfast was more than we expected. You can choose from a menu what you‘d like to eat as well as a juice. There is also a small buffet where you can get tea, coffee or a Croissant. The staff (or more like house owners) were super nice. They‘ ll also clean your room, if you ask them to.

Lots of mosquitoes (has nothing to do with the hostel though, just a reminder to not forget your mozzie spray)

Perfect location for the night market and has walkable streets around it. There are also nice places to grab a bite only a block or two down the road. One place that is a must is Fin : Friends.Family. It's an old style Lanna home that makes you feel like you're in a history book. The breakfast was also amazing I especially loved the rasian bread. Another plus was the A/C worked very well and was completely silent which is not so common in Thailand that I've noticed.

Watch out for mosquitos at dusk and early morning as they can sometimes make their way into the room. Also, the home being an old Lanna style home the walls are pretty thin so expect to hear your neighbors if they are loud.

The bed was incredibly comfortable - we slept so well in the room. The room itself was clean and spacious and great value for money. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast which is included was great, with a variety of choices. Walking distance to all attractions in the centre of Chiang Rai! A perfect stay in Chiang Rai!

Loved our 4 day stay at this traditional homestay in Chiang Rai. Beautiful family, comfortable, clean room and ensuite, adequate breakfast. Well located just a brief 10 minute walk from the clock tower. Definitely worth considering if you want a holiday experience different then the usual hotels.

The host was very sweet and helpful (but doesn't speak much english), and the hotel was good value for money. It was nice it was a family run place. The host gave us some lovely flowers as it was our honeymoon. The location was excellent - within walking distance to the town centre, walking street, night market, bus station etc. It was all clean and just like the photos, and everything worked as it should've done.

We were in the ground floor bedroom with 4 single beds - everything worked fine but it wasn't an inspiring room (the host kindly sent a message to say that it wasn't the room that people expect from the photos (of course there is all the information about the room available, but apparently people assume it's one of the nicer wooden rooms, which it wasn't). The ensuite was basic without much space to put toiletries etc, but it all worked fine. The room was on the ground floor right by the breakfast area, so had to keep the curtains closed and lights on to have privacy.

Beautiful original building that's been updated. Great location down a quiet lane way within walking distance of main area. Plenty of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Host really friendly and can help with the trips Breakfast has good choices. Felt like a real home from home

Was good however I think the coffe should be much hotter I shouldn’t be allowed to sit too long

Oh, the room we had we had to use an outside Bathroom/toilet Though Still inside the building. I had communication I did agree to this future but in future I will make sure I have an internal bathroom. The owners and staff you could not fault very helpful indeed thank you for making Our Stay enjoyable

Perfect homestay, traditional build, very helpful family, good breakfast and competitive scooter hire. Saturday night market 200m away. Walking street 10min walk, scooter needed for other must see sites. Spent 4 brilliant days in Chiang Rai.

Traditional build means squeaky floors, no sound proofing, so need to be considerate with your fellow travellers and the family. Please don't let that put you off ...
