Bay Landing Hotel

It is nice hotel very close to the airport. They offer free shatle to and from airport. The room was clean, large and nice. They accept deposit only from kredit card but was very fast to back it in the end. The hotel offer good and deltious breackfast. In the evening you can do walk around the bay. Very close there are restaurants.

We could not pay deposit in cash.

This was not my first stay and will surely not be the last. First and foremost, staff are absolutely great to make our stay conferable and pick/answer any questions that we might have. Room was spacious, cozy, and comfortable bed for promising a good night sleep. Complimentary breakfast with quite a few variety was great too. As I love watching airplanes go by, the noise was not bother me at the slightest ;-)

Although they do provide shuttle bus service to and from SFO Airport, nothing is advertise on the website nor any reservation engines. As they did a good job renovating the room, there is not enough AC outlets to charge your electronic gadgets (iPhone, iPad, digital camera and etc) to begin with. To make the situation a bit worse, at least for the room which I stayed, all AC outlets (whatever available) were "loose" so that any of your charger might physically dropped onto the floor quite often. I was quite annoyed until the devices were fully charged.

Overall a very good experience. The difference between good and excellent is very difficult for most hotels to attain. You’ll have to cover a lot of small points in order to get up to the top step, and I am seeing less and less hotels willing to do so. But I think the quality of the gusts is sinking over time. They care more about a “free” breakfast that they do about any other condition or problem. Breakfast was good, but no better than that. The restaurant called Max is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel had excellent food.

The cleaning ladies wouldn’t stop knocking on the door, starting an hour and a half before check out time.

We like that it is near the airport. Also, our room have a good view of the ocean and a pathway that you can walk into every morning. We feel safe staying there. Though, the hotel shows that it is an old one, they maintained the homey & vintage look of it. We also like their breakfast. Love the waffles and their omelet & cheesy egg. They even have free coffee and tea 24/7 in the lobby. The staff are really nice too.

You can smell the old smell of the hotel. It would've been nice if they clean our room everyday. Also, the roads going to the hotel is quite confusing esp at night but its okay.

Very nice location on the water and close to the airport. Beds were comfy.

AC made a chirping noise off and on all night. Once we finally turned it off, the refrigeration made a loud constant hum. Rough night sleeping. Breakfast started at 6 and we were down there 10 mins early in order to leave for an early flight. Kitchen staff wouldn’t let us grab any of the food that was already out. (We realize that they were setting up the hot food. We weren’t interested in any of that. Just wanted to toast an English muffin.) Seemed like they could have worked with us on that.

The sea view is spectacular, especially for anyone who likes plane watching. Free breakfast and 24/7 coffee and tea in the lobby was a real bonus!

Lovely rooms, large and comfortable bed. Great air con and the free breakfast is terrific. The breakfast staff are very friendly and helpful. Fabulous views.

Housekeeping is by request and this isn’t explained when booking. We wanted it each day and made the request but in practice it wasn’t done on two occasions despite speaking to reception staff who said they would take care of it. Demand on breakfast can outstrip supply which can be slow.

This hotel is truly amazing, but unfortanely you need to have luck with who's manning the reception. When I arrived at the hotel on February 15th 2023 in the afternoon, the person at the reception was very helpful and polite. Unfortuanetly, when I checked out on February 16th in the early morning (5:30 am), the woman at the reception was not friendly or helpful at all. People like this should not be allowed having contact with customers. This definietly leaves a bad taste in my mouth, beacuse otherwise this hotel woudl've been one of the best ones I ever visited.

I booked this hotel for the last night of our southcoastral California trip. Actually expecting nothing but a nice place to sleep. But … entering the lobby in Christmas time was gorgeous. A hotel in old English style with all those nutkrackers and X-mas lights. Welcomed by friendly Mike and given the (booked) beautiful bayview room, also in English style, not my style, but that does not matter. The view on the bay and the landing and departing planes was great. The room was very clean and spacious, the bed great, the bathroom very nice - okay, bathtub outdated and the pillows a little bit too stiff. Breakfast great too with real English plates (not paper nor plastic) and metal cuttlery. They let us even store our luggage for our late departure. The only minus is that there are no american restaurants nor shops nearby. But for an airport hotel this was a fine place to stay.

Views of the bay and planes landing was fun if you have a toddler! Big windows with large curtains are good if u need a dark environment to sleep. Booking.com said no breakfast, but they did have continental breakfast available. King room was spacious and comfortable. Furnishings are all on the older side, but that doesn't matter to me as long as it is comfort, which it was! AC wall unit worked well! They were able to allow us a slightly later checkout at 1300 per our request. Close to good restaurants
