Hotel Quartier, Ascend Hotel Collection

Room was extremely clean. Staff was very friendly and we were able to speak in the language of our choice. The Barbie's restaurant was very convenient and food great. We ate there everyday. I really appreciated that the room did not have a carpet and the floors were clean. All in all we felt very welcome and I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

The only thing I would have liked would have been a better coffee bar in the lobby. The coffee machine was a bit difficult to use for us older generation people :) My husband is up very early and likes his coffee.

Good location on the road into the City(about 12 km). Friendly reception. Interesting pool. The gym looked good, but we did not use it as we were out sight seeing. The restaurant attached was pleasant with friendly waiting staff. Hardly a culinary hot spot, but perfectly OK. It was on a busy road, but we had no road noise.

We were told that there would be no room service (covid). We asked twice for more toiletries and coffee capsules. The toiletries appeared, but we had to go and hunt for the coffee. The pool is not safe for children. One third is 90cm deep- OK, but then the rest plunges to 1.8 metres! A pool that deep should have a permanent lifeguard.

There is construction around the property (Aug 2023) and it was still quiet in the room. This was only a pit stop on a longer journey; was easily accessible from the highway. The beds were very comfortable and towels were plush.

The hallway floors are not even (must be an old building that was renovated) so our room door was a hard close. No breakfast included.

The staff was pleasant and helpful. The suite was a bit smaller than I expected but the bed was big and comfortable. Standard hotel room, with a decent bathroom and shower. Has a keurig with pods to make coffee/tea. The curtains were good to blackout the lights outside. Lots of outlets for charging devices.

A few extra pillows in the closet would have been nice. The remote on the tv didn't work fully. The bathroom felt so close to the bed, just expected the room to be a bit bigger and have a bit more separation of spaces.

Front Desk personnel, Marie & Jamie, were both very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, polite, prompt and professional in providing great customer service.

Major road construction all around the facility made travel arrangements difficult. Luckily it rained most days so the exposed dirt blowing about was minized.

Very quiet , free parking, close to mall so food available there. Bus 15 min to centre of Quebec City. Great clean renovated rooms. All facilities in great condition

Nothing really, we could use more towel bars in bathroom but otherwise all good, would stay again 100%

Really clean (liked the hard floors for hygiene) Front staff (Brendan?) very bubbly and helpful, spoke great English (we are from Australia) Bar/eatery on-site with great open hours The little details e.g. makeup wipes, ceramic mugs for night and takeaway ones for morning, sanitising wipes next to the remote etc Really spacious room and huge king bed

The staff were excellent, thank you for the welcome chocolate bar as it was our 39th Wedding Anniversary

No safe , no magnifying mirror, edges of beds were sharp & roadworks outside spoil it, several power plugs and bathroom extractor fan did not work.

The room was ready early as requested. Very clean and plenty of towels and toiletries for multiple days. No need for anyone coming into the room during our stay which is good during Covid. I extended our stay 1 night and they accommodated me with no problems in the same room.

We thought there would be a microwave ( some rooms had one) but where the microwave would have been there was just an empty space. With Covid and limited restaurants available the microwave would have been convenient.

The bathroom was gorgeous, especially the tub, and the bed was very comfortable. The view was great and you couldn't ask for a better location. The staff were very friendly as well.

The room was beautiful but the carpet and couch/chair looked like they could use replacing. It was a bit chaotic checking in at the bar and we would have preferred a more quiet check in location, but we understand it was probably busier than usual because of the festival.
