The Cityview

Very roomy for an HK hotel, we had plenty of space in our double room. Multiple elevators made it quick to get to our room. We were luckily able to check in a few hours early. Concierge was very helpful, door was usually attended to open for guests going in and out. No street noise even though it’s super centrally located. At Yau Ma Tei stop in a few steps, lots of food options around.

We specifically chose this property for the swimming pool amenity listed. However there isn’t really one (it is next door, belonging to the YMCA), so this was really dishonest. I was very disappointed to find this out.

One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its proximity to the Yau Ma Tei MTR, which makes it very easy to get around the city and explore all the major tourist attractions. Additionally, the hotel offers daily housekeeping, which is always appreciated when traveling. Another positive aspect of the Cityview hotel is the friendly staff. They are always willing to help and provide recommendations for things to do and see in the area. And, while the view from the room is nothing spectacular, it's nice to have a window with a normal city view. Lastly, the room only comes with one chair, which can be inconvenient for couples or friends traveling together. Overall, the Cityview hotel is a decent choice for those looking for a convenient location and friendly staff, but it may not be the best option for those who prioritize room size and amenities.

Firstly, it can be a bit expensive, at least on the dates we booked. The room itself is quite small, and the shower is also on the smaller side. While it was still manageable, it may be an issue for some travelers who are looking for a bit more space. Another issue is the smell of moisture in the room. This is likely due to the high humidity in Hong Kong, but it can be a bit unpleasant nonetheless. Additionally, the sink in the room is quite tiny, which can be inconvenient for those who need to wash their face or brush their teeth.

The room , 2186, was spacious and comfortable and had a great view.

The windows were not totally sound proof, sirening from the opposite fire station might be disturbing sometimes especially at the midnight.

The location, less than a minute walk from Yau Ma Tei Station Exit D. Very convient. Room is clean, provide with all the daily essentials.

I had booked a Deluxe room and Deluxe Quad room during my stay I am staying in the Deluxe Room 1024. The toilet bowl flushing system is not that good, need to flush at least 4 times to flush out just 1 toilet paper. The Quad is good for family of 4. However, there is only 1 restroom in this Deluxe Quad. Need to take time for everyone to bath or go toilet. Good if can at least separate the Bath and toilet, so that at least at 1 time 2 person can be in to cut down the waiting time. Will booked 2 connecting Deluxe room instead on Deluxe Quad for our next visit.

The hotel is in a great location, the rooms have everything you need. And the staff were extremely helpful, even helping with our bags and giving us extra water when we needed it.

The prices of the property don’t really make sense. We stayed for one night and the price was reasonable for HongKong. However, we had a late flight from Hongkong and asked about late check out, maybe adding an additional 3-4hours but the cost was pretty much the same as staying another night. It didn’t really makes sense to us as we were willing to pay a little more to stay and would have probably had dinner and stuff at the hotel if it were more affordable to stay.

The property was really near to the MTR station and the bus stops. If you go to and from the airport there is a direct bus stop that is around 3 minutes walk to the hotel. This is the Yua Ma Tei exit of Tsuen Wan line which is we think is the busiest line of all? Always a full train. What we also like is that the hotel is near convenience store, restaurants and shopping centres. You can just actually walk to the Mongkok station which has the ladies night market, sneaker street and etc. It's also a 2 stops away from TST. For the room itself, they always clean it every day and give us new towels and a bottle of water. The room is big too compare to other hotels/airbnb. Overall we will still be staying here when visiting Hong Kong again and we definitely recommend.

Amazing location, near Yau Ma Tei MTR station and bus stops. Restaurants, convenience stores, and even shops for toy collectibles also very near the hotel. Check-in was fast and easy. We were able to leave our luggage at the reception before and after check in. The room was good, size was bigger than my previous hotel experiences in Hong Kong. Water pressure in the shower was amazing also. We requested for extra bed which they were able to set up for us. Buffet breakfast was good as well. I loved the pancake machine!

For the room- no bidet in the toilet, I hope they install soon and as this is my biggest negative for the hotel. In-room amenities- no laundry bag. Breakfast- not much variety. We ate for 3 days straight and food was the same every day. No rice available also.

The location of the hotel is superb. Very close to Yau Ma tei MTR, walking distance to Night market, Ladies market. the selection of the food/restaurants great! Only 2 MTR stops from Shim Tsa Tsui - malls, Kowloon park, Avenue of stars, Ferry The room provided free bottled water each day and had kettle and tea/coffee features. havent had a chance to try the hotel restaurants. so much choice outside :) I had 2 rooms: superior and quadruple rooms. Highly recommend the quadruple room, much spacious. has both shower and bath

Have previously stayed at CityView. Gave it a 7/10 last time with many positives such as helpfulness/ friendliness of most staff, great location (seconds away from Yau Ma Tei MTR station) and great value; with the major issue being the overzealous, unwelcoming nature of some security, smaller issues with lukewarm hot water and Wifi. Am pleased to say that the smaller issues have been rectified as far as I could tell. And even better, friendly security, probably due to the anti-epidemic measures, that have now ceased. Good reflection of what will hopefully, be a continuing return to better days for Hong Kong
