Stanford Hotel Hong Kong

Location is in a quieter area of Mong Kok with about a 10 minute walk to Mong Kok MTR station, and is also close to the night markets such as Ladies Market. There are a lot of eateries nearby and a 7-11 convenience store as well. Room was kept pretty clean and a decent city view on a high floor.

Room was perhaps a little smaller than I expected, but that was probably to be expected of the the average hotel room sizes in Hong Kong. Due to the smaller bathroom size, there is no bathtub as well but this was not really an issue for me. There was no standalone USB wall ports, so it would be advisable to bring in a travel adapter with USB ports if one needs to charge through it. Tried the breakfast and found it okay, although nothing too special for the HKD 70 price.

Room is spacious, relatively quiet considering it is in a busy district (I stayed at hgh floor), very clean

Wifi is weak/keep dropping during certain time of the day (around lunch time and evening); somehow the rubbish bins in the room do not covered with garbage bag. Unsure it is the hotel's policy not to provide plastic bags including those for rubbish bins!?) or what. Consider there are different guests who may throw rubbish with liquid or flakes in the bins... that does not seem too hygienic (or does it expect guests to bring their own bin bags..?)

My booking was a double bed but the hotel offered to change to twin beds without additional fees. They even advised room guests not to go outside for saftety and offered a discount to lunch and dinner buffets during the T10 Saola tropical storm

Our room had leaking rainwater from the window due to the heavy rain during T10 Saola storm. The hotel managed to use towels to absorb water, though I expected a more "permanent" solution. More rainwater was leaked from the other side of the window on the next day but considering the storm would be over soon and maybe the hotel would fix the same way, we decided to use additional towers to absorb water.

Very good location, close to all shops and eateries and a short walk to the metro station. All staff were friendly in my opinion, we tried the restaurant in the lower ground the food was great but a bit pushy for the bill at closing time and we want to order more drinks but it won’t let you. It was only 21.30. That was a bit let down otherwise we had a good time.

None, everything seems fine to me for the price I paid.

The room was big enough for me as a single traveller. Location was in Kowloon, 10 min walk from the MTR. Short walk from shops and restaurants. Nice staff. Didn't take long to wait for the elevator to come. I experienced otherwise in other hotels.

It was quite expensive. Not enough space to store my clothes. The airport bus was a 10 min walk. If you have a lot of luggage you'll need a taxi.

Actually, the hotel is accessible from the Train Station and bus station at the airport. What I like the most is the service provided by Kevin at the reception. He helps me at the check-in, and he is also a handyman who helps me willingly remove the battery from my kids toys. I asked other staff but refused to help only Kevin help me without hesitation

When I asked the restaurant staff for help, she said NO asked me to leave the restaurant.

Location. Room was very clean ,comfortable bed,very good shower. Bottles of water provided,coffee, tea. Breakfast OK.

Room is a bit too small, not enough space to keep your clothes, but it s Hong Kong, I suppose in city centre most hotels have small rooms

Attention to detail by housekeeping. Good location, close to shops and Nathan Rd. Room was decent size and modern, with effective and working AC.

The MTR stations are a bit of a walk (~10 mins) which might be a problem if you are someone who is less mobile.

Booked 4 rooms and all got upgraded so my request to be on the same floor as my family was easily granted. Comfortable rooms with daily cleaning. Breakfast was great too! 1-2 mins walk from the busy night markets of Mongkok.

Reception could be a little more welcoming.
