Hotel 1936

The location- very accessible. Near Prince Edward MTR, bus stop outside hotel. A lot of foods to eat and shops in the area. Cleanliness- the hotel is clean and the room is cleaned daily. The hotel room is not that small for a hotel in hongkong. Staff- they are easy to communicate, they can speak english and they are polite and accommodating. Value for money. We will definitely come back again.

Nothing much to complain. - just when we requested basic stuff since we are celebrating my daughter’s bday, They cannot lend us small plates, lighter (for lighting the cake) though just minimal, we just went outside to buy.

Hotel 1936 is located in the middle of Mongkok which is very convenient as the area is well connected by public transit (buses, MTR, and taxis). This is one of the newer hotels in Hong Kong and the room is more spacious and comfy than other hotels we've previously stayed in the city area like Tsim Sha Tsui and the price was very reasonable. Hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful. Although the stay at the hotel did not include any meal plan, it's surrounded by cafes and restaurants so there's never a concern of not finding a place to fill your stomach. We will definitely stay at Hotel 1936 again next time when we visit HK.

Location was great - plenty of markets right downstairs and MTR stations MK, MK East and Prince Edward very close to get around HK. Staff were very helpful and 24 hour reception service meant it was easy to check in and out. They also helped arrange a taxi for us for 4am when we had to leave and held our luggage when we took some time to travel out of HK. Views from the room were lovely.

Rooms are fairly small, a bit tight for 2 people sharing but we didn't spend much time in the room throughout the day anyway. Cleaners could have done better to be honest, there were days where our mugs/spoons & coffee facilities weren't changed or refilled.

First of all, I would like to thank the staff for the warm hospitality, which is now very rare in HK. They are friendly and helpful. Exceptional service. They helped booked an Uber, and waited with me along the streets to ensure that I have boarded the right vehicle safely. Hotel very well located. Just a stone throw away from Prince Edward MTR. Right above the “night” market where the shopping begins but you will hear no noise. Quite and peaceful. Well equipped. Nothing lacking.

A little pricey. And probably only one lift that brings you to ground floor. Lift is really fast though so not a major concern bring my 4 nights stay.

Hotel 1936 is a small yet new and stylish hotel located along Prince Edward. It’s a stone’s throw away from the MTR and bus stop , restaurants, convenience stores ,Nathan road ( for shopping & more eating ) , and the Fa Yuen Night Market . Room is spacious enough and functional , shelves are located all around your room to put all your personal belongings . Water pressure and heater are great . And the staff are more than willing to assist you at any time.

The hotel is re-worked from a old residential building probably dated back to 1936 as the hotel names itself. It is a tasteful rework. Although the room is not roomy but good in enough for a budget couple or businessman. Less than 100 meter walk from the main subway station which takes you to the busiest areas in Kowloon and to Central direct. Clean and comfortable. Helpful and friendly staff.

Would have liked tea bags/coffee/sugar/milk as you have provided a kettle and fridge Slippers were poorly made and broke as soon as i put them on so no point in providing them. Not very environmentally friendly Hair conditioner and body lotion would have been welcome but I understand this is a budget hotel Can't change the location of the hotel but a little rough outside late at night. We felt safe in the hotel though

Lovely hotel. Clean, comfortable. Bathroom/bedroom cleaned everyday, and towels replaced. We asked for an iron and it was delivered within minutes. Easy walking distance to shops/coffee shops/restaurants/MTR.

A wardrobe would have been better, as only a half hanging rack which is no good for dresses. But only a suggestion, not the end of the world, given the rest of the facilities.

Good size room. Very clean interior and nice shower water pressure. Close to a lot of good food down stairs.

Will need to transfer either bus of MTR to get on the AirPort Express lines. Not convenient when you have a lot of luggage. We opt for a taxi to get to the airport.

Great location right next to Fa Yuen St. and Prince Edward MTR if you need to travel. Good restaurants in the vicinity and lots of shopping and markets. Very comfortable, nice bathroom.

The hotel itself doesn't have a lot of facilities (like gym etc), but if you want that then look elsewhere. This hotel is all about the location in our opinion.
