The Palomar Inn

The price is affordable for me. Good location. Lots of great choices close by. Including Brewhouse restaurant and coffee house, all right next door. There's more walkable choices too. You can walk to cliffs and there's a small secluded beach. Friendly staff. Room has large TV , new floors and shower. There's fan, coffee maker, dryer, fridge,... Perfect for my stay.

I think they clean with fabuloso..the smell bothers me.

even though there is a ac unit in the room there are no controls to turn it on. it is so hot in here right now. we have the windows open and it’s still hot. a lady we believe works/ lives here talking really loudly on her phone while walking around.

this cute little old school motel has been my pandemic refuge. The beautiful location, the convenience of a table, chair, fridge & microwave, plus the proximity of cafes & coffeehouse right next door for takeout, all made it easy to socially distance. They’re pet friendly, so I can bring my little dog. Short breaks to this sweet old-style California beach town, with walks around the neighborhood, along the bluffs Oceanside, & watching TCM made my pandemic isolation bearable. The motel has been going through renovations, & is looking good. 👍🏼 to the new floors & upgraded accessible bathroom. But I was sad & inconvenienced about the removal of the table & chair. Please bring them back! Having somewhere to sit besides the bed, & somewhere to eat, write, or work, makes for a *much* more comfortable & enjoyable stay.

The room was very clean, the bathroom was very spacious. I would recommend placing a small table in bathroom to place toilettries or area to place clothing. Absolutely loved the location. Alot of restaurant options within walking distance. A coffee shop right next door. A short stroll to the beach. But our absolute favorite was the staff. They were always accessable and on site, cleaning and making sure the guests needs are met.

Can't think of anything. Maybe better cable channels. But even this wasn't really an issue as we preferred to spend any down time enjoying their beautiful patio with a relaxing view of the mountains.

Great Location! single level retro hotel-it is tiny & cozy. Only a few rooms, so it is nice & quiet. Price is good. Lots of pillows, fridge, microwave & table/chairs for meals-very nice!! Parking right outside your door. Will definitely stay again.

Please deep clean!! dust window shutters, need to ensure there is sufficient toilet paper(had to ask for a another roll) . Bed is a little hard.

It was very clean and updated, had adjoining rooms for the whole family. It was such a cute quaint place located not too far from all the action and within walking distance to a few restaurants and the ocean.

The Air Conditioner didn’t work very well to cool down the place. We ended up sleeping with the windows open because it was pretty warm in the room. There is a big gap between the door and the floor so cool air may be escaping there as well. The lamp on the nightstand didn’t work and the toilet paper holder came off when using it and could not be put back together.

The new A/C unit worked beautifully, the bed was comfortable, the new shades worked very well, the water was nice and hot, the location is wonderful, and the parking was right in front of our door.

The walls are so thin (or the doors aren't soundproof) that the first night we were disturbed by yelling neighbors. The tile floors needed mopping and the handle was loose on the shower control. The rates were incredibly expensive (but that was true all over town) as part of a "super-bloom package" of local wildflowers. Honestly, the prices were three times as expensive as usual. We've stayed here many times and were visiting my brother who lives nearby, but NEVER have we paid $200+/a night for a tiny room.

Early check in queen room! Walking distance to restaurants and coffee. Room was clean and bathroom had a nice remodel. Thank you for the portable heater!

No where to hang clothes/jackets. Maybe owners can suspend a small hanging rod from the ceiling in the corner where it's out of the way? Seen in other hotels. Not fancy but affordable and does the job. Thought I read microwave in room though we didn't need one for the night. Maybe in office? Just FYI.

Location Windows open in bathroom and bedroom for cross breeze which was great because no ac, had a ceiling fan that did not work. Friendly couple running the hotel. We were pulling a motorcycle trailer and they very kindly let us store it behind a gate to prevent theft or using up another space.

The mattress is horrible. The white bedding had a lot of black dog hair on it. Shower was not cleaned- purple shampoo splattered on white tile walls, hair in corners & drain. The ceiling fan didn’t work. Large gap under the door and the lack of ac or working fan meant we had to keep windows open and smell peoples cigarettes from right outside. Smoke came right in. No smoke detectors $235 night is definitely for the location only

the facility was such a cute little gem! my daughter and I enjoyed our room. she had her own room inside the room and we loved the upgrades.. the room had a microwave and a mini fridge which was so convenient. plenty of towels and other necessities. love the coffee maker and all the coffee supplies as well. highly recommend
