Upgraded room, absolutely amazing views, cozy in-room fireplace, nice sized room, great restaurant (dinner & staff were amazing), friendly front desk staff, easy parking

Room was not completely cleaned (leftover pizza box and wine from prior guest), small bathroom (e.g. awkward position of toilet and door), slow elevator

The view from the room was beautiful. The front desk staff & the valet were very friendly & helpful. The property is pretty & having beach access was great!!

We made multiple attempts to book spa treatments prior to out stay, but couldn’t get anyone from the spa on the phone nor did we receive a call back after leaving messages. We also noticed stains on our duvet, & on the walls & the ceiling of our room. The door to our room was also an issue. You had to double check & make sure it was fully closed. It would looked to be closed & locked, but that was not the case. From the outside you could push it open. We learned this as someone attempted to get in our room while we were in it. We contacted the front desk & their resolve was to issue new keys to the room.

The view from our ocean/pool view room was lovely. The staff, including bellman, restaurant and spa were very kind and accommodating. The pool was heated and that alone will bring us back! Because of the view, the spa and the heated pool, we were able to enjoy a real vacation even though it was cold and stormy weather!

The beds were not comfortable at all. The restaurant was meh--my daughter had an "ahi salad" from the lunch menu that truly should have been an appetizer--it was as if ONE piece of sashimi was thinly sliced and arranged in a circle with a few thin slices of cucumber. I felt that given the limitations in hours and choices in the restaurant, they could have provided a microwave and a bit more thinking about the food offerings.

They provided the ocean view upgrade. The pool side is great for relaxing time. Walking through the beautiful scenery is awesome!!

The enthusiasm, courtesy and friendliness demonstrated by all staff from arrival to departure. Liked the early evening lobby wine. As always, the room and beds were excellent. Views from the balcony were outstanding. Nice and quiet. Marisol food visit is definitely on a to go to list...food service was prompt, setting wonderful, and food exceptional. Thoroughly enjoyed the get away to The Cliffs..

Would like a microwave in the room to reheat and further enjoy my Marisol leftovers for a late snack.

We loved having the restaurant right next to the hotel. We had drinks/appetizers on Saturday night and loved the hash brown omelette for breakfast. Can’t beat the view!

We were put downstairs on the pet floor and did not have a pet with us. The floor was tile and cold and the room felt less homey. The beds were not as comfortable as we would have liked. We were disappointed that for breakfast we were seated in the bar even though the dining room was empty.

beautiful scenery and clean but no beach access. they said there’s beach access but for older folks that’s a hike and dangerous at times. just drove to Avila

the food was OK. the deck was. wet hot and at sundown the sun is blaring in your face and the umbrellas don’t bend - ????? there was also a guy there that first night that was hitting on the waitress obviously making her very uncomfortable and he was really loud. she didn’t want to say anything and it made it just uncomfortable because everyone could hear him

The property is located up on a cliff overlooking the ocean and the views are stunning! They have a restaurant with tables overlooking the ocean also. The room was spacious and clean with beautiful views. The beds were so comfortable I did not want to get up the next day. The beds are very high off the ground so we asked for a step stool to get in and out of bed and they brought us one. Wow, what great service. They have white robes in the rooms!

I could not find any towels at the pool and had to ask at the Spa. I did not know they were in my room.

The staff is very helpful and friendly! Jaz at the bar is my favorite! Location is great, we got a partial ocean view room and were lucky to see the ocean!

The spa is very old and basic. We didn’t really enjoy the massages either. Food in a restaurant, please please make it possible for us vegan and vegetarian community to eat. There was zero items we could order and we didn’t want to leave the premises just to go eat but we had no choice. Just more options would do! Thank you!

The hotel never received our booking from booking.com. We didn't get the room we reserved five months ahead of time. The front desk staff didn't express an apology or any particular concern for this severe error. They informed us that we were "free to seek accommodations elsewhere." As if we needed to know that or if it helped in any way.
