This hostel was very clean and nice. Love the way it's built. The front desk folks were nice and helpful.

I can't see how this is the fault of the hostel faculty, but I didn't get any sleep because two of the people who were sleeping in my room were extremely loud snorers. I am not over stretching the loud, it was veryyyy loud. I like the hostel idea and that anyone can stay in it, I really do. But I think perhaps a system can be created to resolve this possible issue of disrupted sleep because of loud snorers. I know it's not necessarily someones fault that they snore and I am not trying to be disrespectful, but as a traveler who enjoys staying in hostels, if a system can be brought up to accommodate everyone, that would be great. A kind system that still allows anyone to stay in a hostel but addresses the snoring issue.

My room had surprisingly high ceiling for a rather newly built building. The room was not too large, however it was well furnished with sofa, desk, shelves-closet. As a result, I had enough room for everything. Geneva was experiecing a few hot days (+28 C) during my stay. AC in the hotel room was quite conviniet.

There are no glasses/plates/... in the room. I had to buy a mug for my stay from a nearby super market. Of course, there is a kitchen for common use in the first floor. Iron and iron board can be fetched from the reception. However, the day that I needed one, all the irons had black spots (caused by burning clothes!) inherited from previous users.

This was the perfect stay for Geneva, is slightly out of the centre but still walkable and you are provided a free travel card anyway!! The staff were lovely and the beds were super comfy. Toilet and shower in the room with great facilities all round. Bar with happy hr, guest litchen and games room.

Only faults i have with this place are that the kitchen could have been cleaner, also the plug sockets inside the kitchen wouldn't work - so no microwave, toaster or kettle - but all could be done alternative ways. Also wasn't a fan of the system used in the room where a card had to be put in a slot for electricity to work, multiple times this resulted in someone being in the shower and another guest leaving the room with their key causing the lights to go of shortly after - this system doesn't work when sharing a room with strangers.

New, clean, nicely designed, very good hotel for a family stay or for young travellers in particular. The room for 4 people was not huge but so well organised (with a bunk bed and a double bed) that no more space was needed. Very good breakfast, a bar, leisure area, kitchen for travellers, just all you can expect from a budget hotel. Air conditioning in the room. Quite close to a city Center with a convenient bus connection (4 stops away). You cannot get anything better for this price in Geneva

I guess for the first time in my hotels experience I cannot really think of anything :) Just have in mind the reception desk is not on a ground floor but on the 1st floor instead - use the lift

The first night was nice. Top floor with good view. Future nights were on lower floors. The bed seemed okay the first night, and with future nights any problems were workable.

You can avoid them but the kitchen always had fruit flies. The first time I saw the breakfast room I noticed the fruit flies there too. The bar area had food items covered under glass so that was good. Other than the insects, most everything seemed pretty clean. Aside from the top floor, most lower floors I visited were not as kept up in my opinion. Nothing dramatic, I just noticed the walls would be more worn, and the bathroom would have indications of not getting as much attention. And though the top floor seemed to have no flaws, lower floors might have dust in the hairdryer or needing a touch up in the shower. Generally speaking, the stay here was good. The things that could be improved won't get in your way of enjoying your stay. These were simply what I noticed during my stay.

It is a very clean establishment with a kind and helpful reception staff. I could buy a socket connector for my charger type for 7 CHF which was very important in my case to supply it from the hotel. I did not use all the facilities of the hotel but I would say they have a very safe storage room and nice kitchen to have your own breakfast in.

I do not remember much about dislikes. Maybe the lockers in the room could have been provided with locks. I would say I wish the price was cheaper but it was affordable given the Geneva standards. I stayed in a shared dormitory room.

The rooms are spacious and very clean. The beds are comfortable. All shared areas are clean and tidy.

It's unclear how to access the parking which is behind and underneath the hotel. A barrier needs to be raised by reception and you're then directed down two flights underground to parking. After parking, the walkway to the elevators up two floors is remote and uncomfortable. The hotel receptionist was then unfriendly and did not give us any instructions on use of the hotel facilities, shared areas, public transport, restaurants nearby or access to and from the hotel. We've stayed in various Meininger hotels previously and never had such an unhelpful welcome. Considering the receptionist was sitting doing nothing, this was unacceptable. We unfortunately won't be back.

The location was great.Just 10 minutes by bus from the airport to Meninger and 20 minutes by bus to the city center. (I walked to the city center). Modern and safe facility. Beautiful reception area, quick check in/out. The common areas were clean and comfortable. Plenty of space to relax and work if needed.The guest kitchen was modern and clean. Plenty of room for two people to cook at the same time. Plenty of room to dine in the kitchen if you wanted to.The Meninger breakfast was great! Not your typical European breakfast of coffee, pastries and fruits, at The Meninger there were plenty of items to choose from, all your morning beverages readily available. Cereals, nuts, grains, yogurt, fruits, pastries, cheeses and meats. Did I mention there was a fascinating automated pancake making machine there. You press the button and watch the batter drop on the conveyor belt, as it passes through the heating elements and within minutes your freshly made pancake is dispensed on your plate, Great! The 4 bed room was a good size, plenty of space, clean, smelled fresh and had a TV. The bed was comfortable and the linens were of good quality. The ensuite bathroom was clean, fresh, modern and plenty of hot water. There is a game room with futbol and billiards table. As far as socializing, I found it relatively easy to meet other people. The Meninger hotel/hostal was worth the money, Modern, safe, clean, breakfast and location. The receptionist staff omg, on point! The morning and evening young ladies were so friendly, kind and knowledgeable of the facility and Geneva. The evening and overnight gentlemen were also on point. Sorry I didn't get their names. Great reception staff! One more, the young lady cleaning the rooms, always smiled and greeted me and the room was spotless when I returned! I would definitely recommend The Meninger to anyone visiting Geneva. I look forward to staying with your brand in other countries.

The gameroom should stay open a little later, especially for the adults looking to relax and socialize with a game or two.

New & good hotel. Has a complete kitchen & a very large dining area on the 1st floor for all guests to use. We were able to cook our own dinner. 4 of us booked a 6-bedded room. Room is large with a table, 2 chairs, a bathroom & a toilet. Clean room, clean bathroom, clean toilet. Sumptuous buffet breakfast at 14.90 franc is worth paying, has lots of variety. Also easy to get bus to Geneva airport from outside the hotel. About 15 minutes to the airport. Good location & facilities. Very friendly & helpful staff. Will stay again.

Not the hotel's fault but we had a hard time locating the bus stop near Geneva train station. At Geneve Cornavin HB, we had to walk to the end of the train station, pass the tram station, then walk past a church, lastly turn right to the bus stop. After this initial hiccup, it was ok. From there, just take bus 10 or 19 toward Vernier Village direction. Stop at Guye bus stop (4th stop). Walk 100m to the left to a new shop building. Meininger Hotel is located at this new building (number 118).

The room was just as expected, it had the basics and was spacious. The hotel had facilities like laundry which is helpful. Having the reception on level 1 is a bit different but it’s was nice not having to walk past everyday going to and from the room. There was always staff at the reception and they were really helpful. Felt safe and comfortable at the hotel.

We could have used more hangers in the rooms. Didn’t really like that you had to request room cleaning at reception, but understand the reasons why it is done this way.
