Hotel Cristal Design

The reception staff were efficient and helpful to assist in explaining the we can things to do. The rooms are very clean, modern and minimalist styled. Good bathroom layout and size. The location is right next to the Geneva train station with a 3 min walk. It is easy to pull your luggage through the metro shopping without crossing any roads. Very convenient to food and attractions.

The room is for two persons but there is only one chair. The hallways have large mirrors but there is a cracked one which has been taped up. Huge chucky room key which is strange for a modern hotel.

We liked the location of the hotel and it’s unusual modern design. The location is excellent, just by the train and bus station - made it so easy for us to arrive to and from Geneva. The modern design of the hotel is definitely something different. The room was small, but they used up every inch of the room for storage options - very smart! The bed was very comfy for a good night sleep.

The room was definitely on the small side and there is a gap in the bathroom door - not ideal for private individuals! Also the bathroom could have been a little cleaner. Neither was a big deal though!

The location was ideal as it was close to the main railway station (which is a transport hub) and within walking distance of the main attractions in Geneva. Also enjoyed the minimalist but very comfortable room.

On check in I was not told that the hotel provided a free pass for public transport during my stay (fortunately I found out the following day). Not the fault of the hotel, but most nights there was a lot of noise coming from the street in the early hours. Looking out it looked like drug taking (and dealing?) was taking place.

Room was cleverly designed, with plenty of shelves, a small desk, and a nice view (7th floor). Translucent wall and closet panels, good windows and lighting, and mirrors, made the room seem larger than it was. Most European budget notes rooms are very tight, which is emphasized when they are dark and have poor lighting. Amenities included bar soap, tissue packs, and water boiler.

Everything was fine, but since you asked, the TV was tiny, and when the luggage rack was opened in its place, the front door could not be opened. We had to move it elsewhere.

Location was central to water and old town easy access to all attractions. However not far from hotel was a rough area with prostitutes and a red light district of sorts.

The hotel was in a great central location and within easy walking distance to all the major attractions/shops. The rooms were clean and a great size. The hotel staff were lovely and extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting Genève!

If you don’t speak French there are limited TV channels in English, the only ones available in English are BBC news and CNN (not a major issue but might become an issue if it’s raining).

The hotel is located literally next to the train station with shopping centre, restaurants around. It takes only 15 mins to walk to the old town. Staffs are so friendly and very helpful. The room is cosy but super clean, shower is with good pressure. I didn't book with breakfast, but the breakfast room is on top floor, should be able to eat with beautiful view in front of you.

Not really. If I bave to be picky, the mattress is a bit soft, so as pillows, but it really depends on personal preference.

Location is right beside Geneva main train station, so so convenient! Each morning plenty of shops to buy breakfast, laundry area only a few minutes away as well. Lots of restaurants around, and almost all sights also just a few minutes walk away. Hotel was relatively clean and space was adequate enough and bright.

The room has a slight smell, but we opened the balcony windows and it was okay afterwards. The beds and pillows are too soft, they sag down and flatten badly when you lie down.

Room was great. Location was excellent. Staff were very nice friendly and helpful especially Malika - hope I got her name correct. Room was very clean and great decor. Bed a bit too soft for me otherwise a great place to stay. Definitely would recommend and stay there again.

Bed was a bit soft. My son didn’t like that the charger plug was only on one side of the bed. Ahhh yesss I didn’t like the bulky room key to carry around and there was only one ……

My husband and I stayed in a triple room with our 5year old son and we had an enjoyable experience. Nicely located near the train station, the hotel is a good choice for a short stay in Geneva.

Could have used a small fridge for keeping water cold. The aircon is a bit loud if you want to leave it on during the night. The bathroom door is made of glass, not ideal if you travel with kids, also does not offer too much privacy really. Pillows too soft for my liking.
