Tiffany Hotel

The Tiffany hotel is located on the edge of the 'old town' of Geneva, rather than amongst most of the high-end hotels. It is extremely close to two tram stations and also a step away from the opera house and Victoria concert hall. We had one of the superior studio rooms, It is spacious with separate toilet and wet-room (shower & bath). It includes a large terrace area.

Unfortunately, we returned to our room one evening to find no power! This was an electrical fault and needed an electrician so we had to use torches for the rest of that day ! There is a coffee machine (which was faulty) but no kettle for tea.

Located 2 tram stops from Cornavin train station. Within a walking distance to Victoria Hall, Grand Théâtre, Plainpalais. 10-15 min walk to the old town. Direct bus connection to Plage Genève. Rather an older house. Rooms small, but sufficient size, comfortable beds, good standard of the bathroom utilities. ok air conditioning. Massage may be ordered from an external expert: good quality but at very high tariffs.

Rather noisy surroundings. You need to sleep with a closed window. Ok breakfast for 4-star hotel; rather on an expesive side and usually not included into the room rate.

We loved our stay at the Tiffany Hotel. We stayed in the Studio Suite, which was perfect! The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was really well done with a great shower, we had a lovely dressing area for our clothes, a sitting area with TV and a kitchenette, which although we didn't use to cook, was extreme handy for keeping our drinks nice and cool. There was also a private outdoor terrace. We must thank the lady who cleaned our room each day, we stayed for four nights and returned to a spotlessly clean room each day, I think possibly the cleanest hotel room we've ever stayed in. The hotel was really well located for both visiting the old town, lake and Christmas market. We visited Chamonix and Montreux during our stay which we'd throughly recommend, both gave absolutely breath taking views!

The breakfast was a highlight. Much of the preparation was homemade and the staff more than welcoming and helpful.

The young man at the Reception was very informative and helpful. We were given a free pass for public transport (trams and buses) and for boats on the lake. We took advantage of all these and it really enhanced the stay. It was particularly useful to transfer to the airport on the last day. The room, hotel location and breakfast were all really good. The hotel was really stylish and well appointed and was good value for money.

There was nothing we did not like.

Nice old hotel with art-nouveau feel. Friendly staff, with good English, willing to make phone calls, supply information, etc. Air conditioning worked well. Hotel supplied a free public transport pass Bed linen very good quality - cool cotton. Location rather plain, with work being done on the street and no picturesque view - but very handy for public transport and quite a short walk to the Vieux Ville

Breakfast was fine - standard European hotel spread with extras like fresh-sliced oranges and Swiss Gruyere - but tables were a bit too small and some items ran out. Some carelessness with towels and toiletries when supplying the room. But these were only minor problems. It's expensive. but prices for everything in Geneva are very high, so price was normal for the city

Thé robes are worn out the room is outdated. Staff were amazing helpful. Some would spend five to ten minutes with me, they recommended places to visit, eat etc. The location is good close to the tram and bus station. Loved all the Clarins shampoo/ conditioner. Body wash and body lotion they smell amazing Overall a good experience but for paying $900 plus American dollar for 3 days I expected the rooms to be in better shape

Luxurious premises, very good breakfast, amazing decoration in all rooms and spaces, very nice room, excellent location, fast check-in / check-out, small tables to seat around the hotel street area.

One of the lowest price options in Geneva... You either go for something around EUR 150-160 per night and you are happy with that or next thing you know you have to spend at least 400 eur per night in the next best accommodation option. I think also some of the employees at the reception were a bit sick (going down with flu?) but they would still have to work although they did not look well.

It’s a beautiful old building and has a lovely ambience. It was close to local restaurants with easy access to lake Geneva where we walked to our boat trip the next day After reading the reviews we booked 2 parking spaces in the secured parking just round the corner which they allowed us to stay in until we left early afternoon after our boat trip, this helped a great deal as parking can be a nightmare in Geneva

Can’t think of anything we didn’t like

All in all I was quite satisfied with my stay. It was only one night, but I would've loved to stay at least one or two more. + Staff: was very friendly and helpful. They gave my friend access to a travel card for Geneva for the time we stayed, which was really nice. They took our luggage when we checked out to pick up later and gave us good recommendations to eat out in the area. + Facilities: The room is on the smaller side, but big enough to move around comfortably. Personally I would've liked the twin beds to be a bit more separated but they were comfortable and we slept well. The air condition was very good and the room was cool despite the heat outside. The decor is older but in a cute, art nouveau style. + Cleanliness: Most everything was clean. + Comfort: Everything was good! + Value/Location: I think the biggest value of this hotel is its location. It's near to the train station, trams and buses pass nearby and there's many little cafés and restaurants in the area in case you just want to wander around. The lake is also not too far, so sightseeing won't be a problem. -> I can't rate the food, but the restaurant/breakfast area looked very cute and quiet. If I were to stay there again, I would want to try it out.

- Facilities: The bathroom is quite narrow. My biggest issue was the bathtub: Beware if you are a bit bigger or have trouble with your legs/balance as it's inconvenient and borderline hazardous to step in and out (especially when the bathtub floor is wet). The problem is that the tub is uneven so you can recline, but the glass door doesn't open all the way to give you easy access to the flat part of it. - Cleanliness: The shower/bathtub area could use some deep cleaning (yellow marks from too much use) and the air condition went could use a little bit of cleaning.
