Les Armures

Les Armures is a truly exceptional hotel in every imaginable way. The location is outstanding, central to everything, and the historical old town in Geneva is magnificent. Truly excellent quality and quiet rooms, beautiful hotel spaces, pristinely kept and maintained with stellar taste and attention to detail to everything. Excellent delectable food and most importantly amazing staff. We want to express our gratitude for the entire wonderful, helpful, knowledgable reception team especially Karine, also Justine and Daria, and the excellent and kind concierge gentlemen especially monsieur Pascal. We also enjoyed the best Swiss cuisine at Restaurant Les Armures located in the hotel. The whole experience was wonderful for us as a family, Les Armures is a true marker of the excellent and warm Swiss hospitality.

We loved our stay from the moment we booked and until the day we checked-out - it has been nothing short of incredible throughout. To say that we loved everything about this property, is to say nothing at all. The hotel is incredible. Simple yet exquisite interior from the ground floor to top. The beds are so comfortable and the linens are soft as feather. Our room was immaculately clean. I had made a special request to deliver some packages directly to the hotel - that was managed so incredibly well. Every detail in this hotel is very well thought out to make your stay very relaxing. The staff at the front desk effortlessly swishing their magic wands to make things happen in flashes. We were provided everything we asked for and more. We are extremely thankful to every personnel who made our stay so memorable. But a very special appreciation goes to Ms. Nelly Klakosz who made it even more so memorable. Thank you dear Nelly for everything you do. We can't wait to come back again soon.

There was a small construction going on site but that has never made anything difficult for us. It was so quiet and peaceful that we caught ourselves whispering from time to time :)

Les Armures was such a good choice for my first stay in Geneva. Not only is it located in the heart of the Old Town and therefore provides a generous historical dose, but it is also a close walk to all the other amenities the city offers. I had such an excellent, comfortable stay in the hotel. The staff are helpful and nice and the room service was top-notch. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that I'm a French speaker, so there was no language barrier, but it was overall a fantastic stay.

Exceptional housekeeping with daily perfectly made up bed and clean sheets (cleaning lady did a great job). Responsive room service with selection of options including hot milk. Professional front desk staff.

The skimpiest breakfast I've ever seen. For a fixed price of CHF 17.00 you are allowed to have three tiny sausages, one tiny yoghurt, one tiny glass of juice and a couple of tiny pieces of bread. Food is totally and very carefully rationed. If you want something a bit more substantial (like hot cooked breakfast) you'll have to pay twice as much. Now, I've heard about Swiss' tightness but this is a new level. Especially taking in to consideration that anywhere you go in Geneva and especially around this hotel food prices are an outright rip off (CHF 90.00 for one portion of fondue and veal anyone?) this hotel could treat it's guests a bit better in terms of good value for breakfast.

A superb, independent hotel in the heart of the old town. Short walk to the Lake and parks. Being in a restricted vehicle zone removes all the traffic noise, you see people mention in other hotels. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a 3 night stay, and would definitely stay here again. Restaurant was fantastic for evening food. Very friendly staff there too.

The breakfast routine was not clear. You need to request eggs (in all the usual formats) and then select further from the buffet. The lady serving was very friendly, but didn't wait on the table, so you had to approach her. Minor thing. Food was still good though.

What a gem of a hotel in a beautiful location and with very friendly and kind staff. Our room, though a little small, had everything we needed and a gorgeous view over a little square with a fountain. Definitely will be back

We travel a hell of a lot and have stayed in hundreds of beautiful hotels but I am not sure I can ever remember a time when the staff have been so exceptionally helpful and friendly as they were at Les Armures. We were in Geneva for a night on our way home to the UK after a month long stay in Italy and needed somewhere comfortable for the night. We booked a room here and from the moment we walked through the door, the staff literally took every stress and problem away. Nothing was too much trouble, valet parking, extra water, help with luggage, they sorted everything. The hotel itself is of luxury boutique style and it was a pleasure to stay. The breakfast is fresh and options plentiful, the rooms are well appointed with a well stocked mini bar. I haven’t got a bad word to say about this hotel and I would recommend it to anyone. we will certainly return when we are next in Geneva. Fantastic Staff, fantastic location and fantastic stay. Thank you!

I am so happy to have found this hotel. It’s an absolute treasure, The location is great, just a stones throw from the high street, yet it has peace and privacy, as it’s nestled in the heart of the old town on a magical cobblestone street. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, with authentic suits of armour and ancient candlestick chandeliers. Their fondue is phenomenal. The room (prestige suite) was beautifully appointed, and very spacious. The rain head shower was great. I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the soundproofing, there was no noise whatsoever. David and staff were fantastic, and very accommodating, they really went above and beyond during our stay. This is now my hotel of choice in Geneva.

Everything exceeded my expectations and I have no complaints.

We just loved this hotel. Warm welcome on arrival and very helpful and friendly staff throughout our stay. Our room was a good size with an ‘oh so comfy’ bed! Decor and furniture very tasteful and good quality, with an ‘old world’ feel but with nice, modern touches. We will certainly stay here again next time in Geneva!

We don’t want to complain as this is definitely a ‘10 star’ hotel but we would have preferred a walk in rain shower, rather than shower in bath.

A journey to the heart of history with few steps away from the most busy commercial area of the city , great hotel , cozy , luxurious , little details everywhere, quality stay with amazing location and interiors , in the heart of old city and still few steps away from the main shopping street , restaurants , the lake and fountain , the view from the room was breath taking and everyone was literally smiling to us and ready to help us 24/7 and don’t forget to drink form the water fountain in front of the hotel (the best water you’d ever taste) 👌
