Out of Bounds Boutique Hotel

The view from the balcony on the top floor is amazing!! The hotel is lovely and the staff were great.

There's no "airport shuttle for an extra fee". It's just that they can arrange for a regular cab or Uber for you, or you can do it yourself. Regular cab costs about 40$US one way, as the hotel is not close to the airport. Plan for a lot of time, as it can take up to 40 min. with traffic.

The room was spacious and very clean, the bathroom had many amenities (except hair dryer), the air conditioner worked perfectly, and all very quite, to get a good rest. The breakfast had several choices a la carte. The room was a studio with one large and one small bed, kitchenette, TV and a small table with two chairs.

Hair dryer was missing.

The hosts were fabulous and went out of their way to make our stay easy after an extremely stressful journey. In short, our (several) flight delays meant we were due to arrive well after last check in. The host arranged everything so we could let ourselves in, left his contact number in case of problems, etc. Our rooms were perfect. Charmingly decorated (I now want a similar bathroom sink!) set in lovely gardens and very comfortable. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

Everyone was so kind. We had some difficulty with our ride the following morning and the whole staff was working to solve it. One member was even going to drive us himself. Also, if you are on the front side, the view is amazing! There are so many birds, too. It was a very nice, reasonably priced, great place to begin our vacation! We would definitely stay again!

So many things to list, The view from the deck is epic, the staff (Marvin & Maria) are top notch, the location is next to a bust stop (420 colones to San Jose), next to a great restaurant(Taj Mahal), the birds around the Hotel are beautiful(Rufous-tailed Hummingbirds, Hoffman's Woodpeckers, Crimson-fronted Parakeets, Rufous-naped Wrens, Blue-Gray Tanagers, Great Kiskadees, Tropical Kingbirds just to name a few.

Breakfast is great, the coffee is perfect, and Marvin helps in anyway he can, helping with luggage, parking, finding places to eat, he is a fountain of local knowledge and goes out of his way to help you in any manner.

Super friendly staff. Very helpful!! Breakfast was great. Location is safe and in a good area to shop. Bus station in front of the hotel to go downtown. I stayed for four nights!

Nothing. Good value for the price.

Everything was just excellent. Location, room, staff, and a breakfast. The best in town so far!

Only downside was a Super Queen comfy bed with a very small blanket. Would benefit from a same size cosy duvet.😊 "SUPERB"otherwise.

Very nice clean hotel with beautiful views of the city. It is in a good location and you can walk to bars, restaurants etc. I would stay here again, great value for money.

Sweet spot for just one night before we flew out. Amazing views from the patio, very comfortable bed, and delicious Indian restaurant right across the street! Only 20 min. from the airport too.
