Studio Hotel Boutique

All meals I had at the hotel were great, but I do have to give a shoutout to their breakfast because it was awesome! The Staff was super friendly and diligent with any need we had. It is also worth to mention that the art around the hotel gives it a very special touch. The location was very convenient since it is close to most urban areas of San Jose (even urban areas in Heredia and Alajuela) and it was surrounded with several shopping centers and plazas with restaurants, pharmacies, convenience stores, etc.

I love this boutique hotel, not only is it a lovely place to stay but it’s also in a fantastic locations with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby! The rooms are big, clean and very well decorated. The staff are always friendly and helpful and lovely and quiet.

My only criticism of this place is the food! The breakfast buffet which provides a great choice, however, some of the food quality wasn’t the best. I’ve also eaten dinner in the restaurant and was a little disappointed by the food. However, lots of great places to eat nearby.

The room was very nice. Totally exceeded my expectations, especially considering the price point. The location was nice. A little bit of a drive from the city center. It was in a much calmer neighborhood, across from a modern shopping center so there was still shopping and restaurants in walking distance.

The Sky Lounge was closed for reasons that I am not sure of. The pool was nice but the drinks by the pool was what I was looking forward to the most about this hotel. I may have misunderstood it's use during my booking but nonetheless, I was under the impression that hotel guests could hang out by the Sky Lounge all day and night.

Great location if you want to be away from the city center, have good airport access and are shopping for home goods, etc. Good staff.The hotel is filled with the owner's private art collection, and makes for a visually enjoyable experience whenever you are out of your room. A good / average Costa Rican breakfast offering, and the restaurant offers a nice dinner at a great price. Service is super. Rooftop pool, easy and secure parking. A Bank of CR across the street gets you the best exchange rate possible if you are changing American currency (versus 20% less at the airport) and a 24 hour atm.

A very nice place to stay fro the price.

It is one of the most amazing hotels that I have ever seen in my life. You get the feeling that you are the guest of the museum with perfect masterpieces: pictures, sculptures and other art subjects. We stayed in the room with personal design. Outside was huge tree which was also originally decorated and surrounded of art peaces. The price of the room must be triple times higher that it is. The food was also perfect!!! I highly recommend this hotel to all who come to San Jose💗

Oh, goodness, the decor was really fun, interesting and often beautiful. Much to delight in. We had a nice view of the mountains from our room, the room was spacious, the pillows plenty enough for this pillow princess.

The location really seemed to call for a self-drive car. We used taxis to get in and out of San Jose for the day - about 20 minutes each way and about $26 each way for taxi fare but, once back at the hotel, did not feel like hiring a taxi to go find a restaurant. Fortunately the hotel restaurant served good, and abundant, dinners.

Breakfast was sumptuous. A few more options would have been better (we were vegetarians). But, we can’t complain much. Room was very good and the bed, very comfortable. Location was nice and walking distance to many restaurants. We also had the chance to get an idea of daily life in San Jose - we walked by a school and some stores too.

I wish they would have glass bottles which can be refilled for water in the rooms, rather than plastic use & throw bottles. It says it is ‘sustainable’. This was something they could handle better.

The place was pretty nice full with arts all over everywhere.All together the hotel looked quiet fancy also the rooms and the outside part of it.

We arrived to the hotel later of the day we only had the opportunity to run down to the restaurant to eat something quick.They said its open until 9:30-9:45 and we went in around 9ish so we were in time.At the same time i had the feeling that the staff wasnt to happy about us even that we did finish with our easy food by 9:30.That felt a bit odd but that was it about it.

reception staff were wonderful. Secure property. our room was quite large, Studio, plenty of room for 2. Nice to have cold drinks available for purchase at any time. Facilities in the room, I.e refrigerator, microwave, living area, were nice. There were restaurants within walking distance. Convenient to get to from the airport if you are not going into the city.

Can't really complain about anything. This is not a property you would intend to stay at for a longer stay.

Decent hotel, pleasantly decorated. Well cleaned.

Room safe detached from mounting screws, so no expected use. Absolutely empty minibar, I have no idea what it's supposed to be for, yet it's on. It's a detail, but after an extra long intercontinental flight, it's not pleasant. Distance from the center, you have to use a taxi for thirty dollars, half an hour to get to the center, using toll way. This can make accommodation more expensive. Perhaps it would be fair to write Santa Ana in the hotel address specification.
