I had a very nice stay at Luisiana Hotel. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The highlight of my stay was the reception team, especially Jeffrey, he helped me out when I was looking for adventure activities to do in Costa Rica. He not only displayed a map full of options and devoted a great time to explaining each of them taking into consideration my taste but also made plenty of calls until he found availability for the ones I'd selected. Thanks to him, my stay in Costa Rica was unforgettable and I'll most definitely come back. He really went above and beyond my expectations.

Everything appeared to be clean. The beds, the deck chairs and large inside chair were comfortable. Bathroom remodeling appeared to be new. Staff was very polite and helpful, with new towels, trash removal, and more toilet paper as requested, and willing todo cleaning if we requested it (which we didn’t).

The kitchen could have been equipped with more dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils. Counter top was very old and outdated with tile grout stained and failing. Kitchen faucet needed to be replaced, and sink drained very slowly. The smaller bed in the room needed a top sheet and larger blanket to fully function as a second bed(we didn’t need to use it as one). Pool area needed some repairs on walkways.

i have been visiting hotel Luisiana since 2015. before had too many rules, forbidding this, getting fined for towels. it seemed to be on a land mine. i decided not to go any more. price and location is excellent i gave it another try. the new staff is great. still many rules even the staff is a bit embarrassed by those. i guess it has improved a bit hot water sometimes is a mirage new handles are needed for the rooms of the ground floor. over all is a great deal

The mini bar was a pleasant surprise after a long journey. The room, bed, shower and everything, apart from the breakfast was excellent.

I paid for breakfast. I got microwaved pancakes, one of them was brick hard and the other two dry like powder. I couldn't eat it and complained. I was offered to order something else, so I ordered toast. It was a safe bet. I got three slices of sandwich bread, butter and a jam - poorly presented. For the bread I paid 10 USD and I also had to pay 5 USD for the breakfast that was not eatable. How is it my responsibility that the pancakes were bone dry and brick hard? I'm a frequent traveler, been for years and this hotel has been one of my favorites since my first stay there in 2009, and I would love to see some breakfast improvement before my return!

It’s an attractive Hotel in a good location for Santa Anna .My room was very spacious clean and a great comfy large bed . The bathroom was probably one of the best I’ve seen in this range of hotels . The staff are very helpful and polite it was a pleasure to stay here ! There is a great swimming pool . I will be back

Nothing … But as a suggestion, It would be a good idea if they allocated an outside Smoking area … instead of going to the street then people just throw there butts on the floor ! but not

The staff are friendly and always willing to help you. The beds are super comfortable and the view and tranquility of the place are hard to match.

I think they should change their pet friendly policy, instead of charging 11 usd extra, they should ask for a deposit in case the pet damages anything in the room. I take my pet on trips constantly and this is the usual policy.

Convenient to shopping areas & restaurants, but in a quiet neighborhood. The building has history & rustic charm. Room was comfortable, with a large shared veranda with seating just outside the door. Small restaurant on premises for breakfast or other meals. Staff were very helpful with all our requests.

Not a dislike, but there aren’t other eating options very close by except a Chinese takeout place. We Ubered to meals & shopping.

The said they have balconies and terraces. Is not the reality. We were at room number 101 with no terrace and no balcony. There were a small area outside the door but I would call it a corridor.The majority of the other room had to pass outside our room to go to their rooms.

everything was so well kept up, clean and beautiful. the beds were soft and comfortable and it was always so quiet.

the food at the restaurant wasn’t the best, I ate there twice and both times I regretted it, there’s a soda 3-5 minutes walking distance on the same street as the hotel that is worth the walk though

Very comfortable room/bed. Out of the intensity of the city. Good grocery store very close (Auto-Mercado) Really nice staff! Nice Pool area.

Some sort of dance studio or gym right next door with loud music. I got changed to a 'less than' room in the time I checked in and actually moved my belongings in. A little far from the airport for some of my comings and goings.
