Wyndham Garden San Jose Escazu, Costa Rica

The room was excellent, the breakfast buffet and restaurant service was excellent. Was right beside a busy highway but that could be good for some people. A little noisy for my room but ok. All staff were very courteous and helpful.

I was unable to locate the airport shuttle to the hotel easily. Key cards often didn't work in the elevator but that was quickly remedied. It would be nice if there were some brochures readily available for tours and tourist activities. Nothing truly negative to say about this hotel and staff.

We stayed 4 nights in a beautiful, pristine junior suite with a lovely city/mountain view. The king size bed was clean and comfortable and the kitchenette areas was very nice to have! The bathroom was large and although the water pressure varied in the shower, the water was always as hot as we wanted it. The AC worked great and there are room darkening shades on both large windows. Most of the friendly staff spoke some English and are very helpful. This hotel is right beside the main highway (route 27) but it was very quiet inside the hotel. We liked the convenience of being close to so many shopping centers and restaurants! The lap pool and hot tub (on the lower level) were fabulous and there was a nice exercise room. We felt very safe staying here, key cards are necessary to use the elevators and pool/exercise area. Parking is beneath the hotel with a friendly security attendent, again access with a key card is required until the guard recognized us the second day of our stay. I would suggest making sure you are back at the hotel before dark as the entrance onto and the exit off of the highway and the ramp up to the hotel is very confusing at first. Plus rush hour traffic is crazy! They have a lovely restaurant with good food and drinks. The free breakfast buffet has a nice selection of various breakfast food and juices. Really enjoyed the very friendly restaurant staff, as well as the reception staff! We will be staying here again when traveling to San Jose!

WiFi was not always good for streaming movies, probably because we were on the 3rd floor, but we managed. Luckily the large TV had some premium channel movies, US news stations and other shows in English. Welcome to Costa Rica 😁!

Good value and ok location. The kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast staff was super nice!

After a few times walking to facilities, restaurants, super, we preferred to take the car, as not the easiest and safest walk with small kids. We switched rooms in middle of the night since the ac quit. Also both rooms smelled of old carpet. Problem is that there is also no ventilation posibility and the rooms have old groubd ac's. Large pool, but only 1m deep all around.

The amenities were great, the pool, jacuzzi, gym were all top notch. I enjoyed breakfast, it had warm options and was very delicious. The staff was very helpful and my room was clean.

The location is not the best. It is close to things (mall, convenience store, Walmart, restaurants, etc) but because it is next to highway exits it is kind of an awkward walk to get to those things. One of the two front elevators was broken the whole stay. My card had trouble working on the back elevator. There was a leak on the third floor that was dripping into a bucket but I think it was knocked over later on. There was a fire drill.

The room was ample and clean and quiet for the most part. The breakfast was plentiful and had many options which is great because I am allergic to egg and don't eat gluten much. The staff are lovely, kind and helpful.

The location is central but you can't walk to most places. There is a highway cutting you off. I used Uber which is not to expensive. I had the Junior suite and it was big, clean and had everything i needed but in a very vanilla way.

Beds were very comfortable, pool was great and breakfast delicious. All the staff was super friendly and helpful.

The view was to the street, when I opened the blinders everyone passing could see the whole room, I recommend to stay higher or on other side of the building. It was annoying not to be able to close the blinders. Prices from mini bar was crazy expensive.

For business trip is ideal the location. I had an accident previous my trip and explained that I couldnt walk much and they were nice to change my room.

The internet connection at the rooms were almost unexistent. An issue that my colleagues and I suffer because we wanted to work or take calls and was impossible. The trip was a couple of months ago so I hope that this was already solved.

Great location between SJO airport and San Jose downtown. Perfect if travelling via the airport with easy access parking facilities. Indoor pool and gym well maintained. Staff is very service oriented and perfect English for those that don't speak Spanish. Good breakfast with very fresh produces.

Loud sound of the fridge in the room, and carpet floor a bit damp near the AC.

Nice hotel, good breakfast, waiting and cleaning staff super nice, the check in problem however - not so much so.

Check in lady was not nice, condensing, and impatient. Manager made up for it, but a very unpleasant experience. Location is far from everything. There is a mall, but u can’t walk as the highway in between has no crossings, so u can only ride.

Breakfast was absolutely awesome, very wide variety of food, even some food I never tried before (sweet yucca - I loved it!), room was super clean, housekeeping staff super friendly, reception staff as well, good location, we really enjoyed our stay, thank you

The room has no ceiling lights, only 2 lamps. If you need to read something in the night time you have to put it under the lamp since the room is too dark. They put 2 ceiling lights in the bathroom, 2 above the sink, 1 right after the entrance door, and in the entire room - zero. Only 2 lamps.
