KC Hotel San Jose

The hotel was mid century modern, quaint and clean. The staff was outstanding and did everything possible to make the stay wonderful. The onsite restaurant was very good. Breakfast was excellent and dinners were outstanding.

The pool was a hot water pool so it was not what we expected or enjoy in a warm climate. The rooms were clean and decent; however, just small inconveniences (some rooms do not have a refrigerator, lighting is poor, no shelf in the shower, significant water noises). We would stay here again, just sharing some small frustrations.

The room was clean and pleasant, staff spoke English and were helpful, especially Pedro! There's a heated open-air swimming pool in the centre of this small hotel which is located about 10 minutes by taxi from the bus station, about 30 minutes from the international airport.and 20 mins into the centre (I didn't go there).

You had to pay for coffee in the room and there is no tea or kettle. Surrounding area is not attractive and not many shops.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We stayed for the first night in costa rica and had lots of questions and they tried to help us. The room was big and comfy. Hot water in the shower. We had to leave early in the morning and miss breakfast so they made us a sandwich to go. We haven't used it but there is a nice pull and gym.

The shower has a little draining problem and I had to play with the water temperature for a while.

Always love seeing my girl Karen at the front desk when i arrive she is so beautiful friendly and kind ! 💕 i think the manager is so very kind he always greets me and always remembers me which means so much ! Breakfast was great - 3 choices, I loved the granola & fruit one - the fruit was amazing! I'm used to eating tropical fruit from American grocery stores and it's not even close to the fresh, beautiful fruit served for breakfast.

The staff handling breakfast could have been a bit more generous with the orange juice and coffee. It was a bit of a struggle to get refills.

Stayed in a twin room. Bed was a good size and comfortable. Aircon in the room was good and not very loud. Shower pressure was a little on the weak side. Hairdryer was good. Nice to have a pool at the hotel. Had breakfast and one dinner here. Both were nice. There is a big park nearby. Took ubers to the restaruant area of San Jose and to the airport. Much cheaper than getting taxis.

Everything. The room was big, super comfortable bed. Tasty breakfest. We also choose to eat dinner there (the baraka restaurant) and it was good! We used the gym which was small but nice (no high weights but it was fine..) We had to stay for 1 night but we know that it is a good place to come back if we'll get to San Jose again in the future.

The restaurant - really is a downgrade since they changed - not an appealing menu and the staff were really quite surly, not at all welcoming. Breakfast (American) was meagre to say the least and it took quite an effort to get a slice of toast!

Breakfast was nice, option of the gallo pinto or the american breakfast. Bed in the room was absolutely huge and very comfortable. The AC worked perfectly. There is an indoor swimming pool with a huge skylight above it. Nice hotel.

I didn't generally feel very safe in San Jose but this was a nice location.

The location was excellent very close to the stadium. The staff is very nice and polite KC Hotel is a good hotel to spend few days in San José

our first room was very outdated and not like the pictures and a little bit dirty, I asked the staff to make a change of room, and they helped us with another room … hole new experience they could have more food in the menu.
