Super cute hotel, very friendly and helpful staff who spoke English. It's located in a residential area, around lots of other big homes. Super market and restaurants within about 10 min walk. Pool looked great with a slide but we didn't get a chance to use it. Friendly driver to the airport for $20. Fast internet, super clean room. Highly recommend!!

Would've liked to use the pool. It closes at 6p.

The manager, German, helped me with many things…figuring out how to order UberEats, and explaining about how to get cash at an ATM at Fresh Market while en route to another destination. Upon arrival I was absolutely shattered from my godawful red eye flight, and I was delighted that I could order in dinner and drop into bed. The hotel was lovely, clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable. Loved the fridge and MICROWAVE! Pool was beautiful. After I saw how well run the hotel was, I changed a future.reservation so I could also stay there again on the night before my plane leaves. Note this area is not in the busy/gritty downtown area… it’s about 40 min = 1.5 hrs depending on traffic.

Shower was slow to warm up early in the morning. Coffee maker needed to be replaced.

We booked this hotel for a less than 12 hour stay when we arrived in CR. The shuttle was there at the right time and took us quickly to the hotel. There was a small extra fee for this but it was after midnight so that was fair. The rooms were all unique and nicely appointed, very clean, and comfortable. The hotel was quiet. We did not go in the pool but it looked good. Pleasant view overlooking the golf course and we felt this was a safe area. Breakfast was simple but tasty. The staff was very friendly and helpful, spoke good English. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Breakfast staff didn't speak much English but that was more our problem, and we got by fine. Really this was a great hotel.

Beautiful, private property in a lovely neighborhood, a short drive to the airport. Walking distance to several excellent restaurants and a high end grocery. The rooms were quiet, clean, modern, and very comfortable, with lovely amenities. Breakfast was delicious and so generous. The courtyard and pool area are a relaxing place to unwind after a long journey or time spent in the downtown area of San Jose. The couple who hosted us was exceptionally welcoming, and gave us suggestions with maps for where to eat, and places to go (and not go) downtown. Communication with the hotel prior to our visit was very easy, and they were gracious to accommodate our arrival outside of normal checkin times.

Great price for a room that was only 10 minutes away from the airport. This boutique hotel is in a quiet residential area, unlike many of the other hotels nearer the airport that are on busy streets or have flights taking off overhead, the area is very quiet. Yet, it was only a brief walk in either of two directions to access restaurants, food market, and ATM. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was spacious and comfortable, with both a mini-fridge and a microwave. The pool was sparkling clean, and there were seating areas both inside a spacious lobby area and by the pool.

My room had a sliding glass door out to the pool, and whenever there were people by the pool, the noise traveled right into my room. Luckily, it was quiet at night, but if you were trying to sleep off-sequence, it could be quite distracting.

Most of the staff was incredibly friendly! The communication was excellent and they ensured that a staffmember would be present during our late and early arrivals. The food was tasty for breakfast. Rooms were super clean and the view from the window was beautiful.

One of the staff members (kind of older gentleman) wasn't very friendly and charged us for water bottles after we had checked out from the hotel. The pool closed very early as well. We got back to the hotel around 6:30 expecting to be able to use the pool for at least a couple more hours but it closed at 7 pm.

Great, comfortable room in lovely setting. They allowed us to check in early as our flight arrived in the morning.

Not their fault but the driver they recommended for pick ups over charged me to drop me in the city and also dropped me at the wrong bus station. He insisted it was the mepe bus stop even when I said I was meeting my dad there so it was important it was the right one. I walked in to find it was a different bus station and had to pay for a taxi to the mepe bus station.

Communications from the hotel were exceptional well before our stay began. Upon arrival, the gentleman who checked us in (at around 7 pm on 12 July 2022) could not have been nicer or more helpful. He really went out of his way and we are so appreciative. The hotel was formerly a luxurious personal residence, and it has been transformed into the most elegant boutique hotel that makes guests feel like they've entered another world. The hotel is so stylish and clean, and it really makes the most of the exquisite architectural features such as the three-story staircase and the pool area, which is the setting for the magnificent breakfast that is available for purchase (is not included with room rate, but is worth every cent of the $15 per person that is currently charged). This was part of the information we received from the beginning so the separate breakfast cost was no surprise at all. Absolutely delicious, classic Costa Rican breakfast. Room rate for our group of six was incredible, and one room easily accommodated everyone. Huge bathroom. Larger-than-expected refrigerator in room, great little coffee setup, and plenty to watch on TV. So close to the airport. Is literally one block from pedestrian bridge that takes you directly to a mall that has plenty of dining options and stores with whatever items a traveler may need, coming or going. We loved it and will definitely look for an opportunity to stay there again in the future.

Nothing major at all stands out as a negative. A small suggestion would be to consider putting a hair dryer in the room or bathroom. Perhaps one was there and we missed it! Either way, that had no negative impact on our stay. This place is fantastic.

Beautiful little hotel close to the airport. The pool area is lovely and the rooms are well appointed and very clean. Staff were very friendly.

We had hoped to explore around San Jose for a few hours to check out the city, however the hotel is a little outside the city centre. After spending 4 1/2 hours in a taxi, we didn't feel like hopping into another one. No fault of the hotel!

The boutique hotel is beautiful and in a great neighborhood. There are several security guard checkpoints throughout the neighborhood and we felt very safe walking to a restaurant only 10 min away after dark. The houses are really unique and upscale. Our room was large with enough beds for 6 people. 3 queen beds. The bathroom was very clean with a large shower. The AC was great. The patio/ pool area is charming and private. The backyard is on a golf course so beautiful views. We were impressed with the layout. The staff is very kind and helpful.

The beds are very firm, but we slept well.
