Margaritaville Resort Gatlinburg

It was a wonderful experience, we went to celebrate my husband's retirement and it was excellent , the staff was very nice, the room was big and inviting, the bathroom was a rainforest one, the bathtub was big and you could lay down in it, the pool was warm and fun, the place was very welcoming, and we will be making this our place to stay from now on.

Our 4th time there. Moose is the parking attendant with a perpetual smile and a great representative of the resort. Housekeeping did excellent.

Help around the pool for food/drinks. Front desk clerks. Black girl with the half blonde hair is the ONLY one who smiled and gave me the ‘hey, we’re glad you brought your whole family here for vacation’ kind of attitude. The others had zero enthusiasm and demonstrated no appreciation for me being there. I mention to Igor(name spelled wrong) that this is our fourth time here….like it fell on deaf ears. Any other place would at a minimum look me in the eye and say, that’s great, we appreciate you. That really bothered me.

It has a very tropical vibe. A lot to do while staying! The spa was very relaxing! They have 2 restaurants in the same parking lot. It’s right near a lot of attractions. There is also a restaurant in the building. They have vending on each floor as well as a pantry market by guest services. The pool is very clean with lots of seating. They have a server who walks around to cater to your needs. They have a nice water slide to entertain the children. An indoor pool, outdoor hot tub and 2 small pools with lounge chairs in them for the adults to relax! The bathrub was HUGE with a nice faucet. The shower was HUGE with 3 shower heads! I could go on and on! We enjoyed our time!

My only 2 complaints would be the TV isn’t a smart tv. So we couldn’t connect our phones to watch a movie. Then also, the fact the beds wasn’t very comfortable. I have had more comfortable beds at regular hotels. So it wasn’t the absolute best but was still nice.

We really enjoyed the location and being able to walk to everything in downtown Gatlinburg! Loved having a microwave and good size mini fridge! The pool is great except for the frigid temperatures. The food was very good (although a little bit pricey) The spa was wonderful and the staff was very friendly!

The pool was freezing, so that wasn’t very enjoyable. The room was nice but we were right above the pool so it was noisy until 11pm. There was also a strange noise that sounded like metal hangers being pushed on and off throughout the night. Odd. Also the WiFi wasn’t good, so working our phones while we were in the room was aggravating.

It was very clean and had cheerful decor. The pool and outside area was amazing. Our room view of the pool was great too.

My family left the resort around 8:30am to go to Dollywood. When we returned at 10pm we found that the maid service had not closed our room door securely and anyone could have just walked in. Although nothing was missing it was an upsetting oversight on the resort’s part and we wasted family time making sure nothing had been taken l.Also, I collect show glasses and T-shirts when I travel places. This was my first time to Tennessee ever and I’m 48. The T-Shirt sizes are very limited and I’d like to see bigger sizes.

Breakfast was excellent and in a timely manner. Staff was friendly and helpful. Liked the view of the mountains from our balcony.

Was disappointed with the spa. Stopped in on Saturday May 13th to make an appointment for me and my wife. The young lady behind the counter said she booked us on Monday 15th for back to back appointments. So my wife went down first at 10:15 and was told that we had no appointments for that day and it was scheduled for the following Monday. Was very upset with this as I told my wife that it was a birthday present for her since her birthday was on Saturday.

It was very clean front desk staff were so nice valet service was top notch. If your nice the valet will wash your car even (I kid) but they were great and friendly. Our room was clean and beds made everyday we changed rooms when we extended our stay and the staff moved our things to the new room while we were out enjoying our day and called to let us know when it was done. Can't say enough good things about the staff. ASHLEY at the front desk is a rock star and needs a raise

Bar staff were horrible almost 90 minutes and couldn't get service. If you are going to eat bar food order room service at least you will get service.

The location was perfect, and the overall layout of the resort is great! The smell when you walk into the lobby is so calming and fragrant. The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the fireplace, the balcony, and the size of the room.

Very minor things, one of which was the grout in the shower. It was black towards the bottom of the shower floor, and the shower floor was somewhat dingy. All in all, minor things, but should be addressed when guests are paying over $200 per night to stay.

I stayed at Margaritaville in Gatlinburg, TN for a 3-day 2-night trip, which was terrific. Gatlinburg is one of my favorite one-day vacation spots because of everything to do. This resort was centrally located, the rooms were spotless, the staff was great and they helped with informing me of the best local food places for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The coffee shop on the first floor makes EXCELLENT lattes and smoothies. The location made it super easy to come back to and rest throughout the day and all of the staff were superb, they continually asked if our stay was good and what they could do to make it better. They truly went above and beyond to ensure my trip was amazing. I will definitely be staying here again next time I come to Gatlinburg.

The coffee machine in the room was a little challenging, but that could have been just my inability to figure it out.

The facility was clean, modern, and up to date, unlike so many others in the area. The large shower was really nice as well. Even small touches such as the ocean wave textured wall paper were nice. Just enough to carry a theme without being over the top into cheesy. The bed was a little too firm, but seemed to be new and of good quality. It wasnt uncomfortable , just too firm for our taste. Others might love it as this aspect is really determined so much by personal choice.

The single ply institutional grade toilet tissue did make completing your business somewhat challenging. For the cost of the room we feel this important item could use much improvement. The cost of drinks was also highly inflated. Yes we understand its a tourist destination with prices to reflect that enviroment, but $58.00 for 3 house brand beers at the hotel bar, or $8.00 for a single bottle of water from the pantry is way out of line.
