Aloft Columbia Harbison

We were traveling home to Florida with our small dog. We searched exhaustingly for a “pet friendly” hotel. All we encountered required a $75 non-refundable pet fee. Not so pet friendly after all. Finally, we found Aloft Hotel on hotel.com. Lo and behold, they were truly pet friendly, and did not require any additional fee. They even provided a doggie goodie bag! We were happily impressed.

Nothing negative to record. The web site at hotel.com did say there was a $7.95 breakfast, however, the items available were all Allacart. We didn’t partake.

These Aloft properties are a whole lotta quirky fun. This one had some of the most inviting & unusual lobby furnishings I’ve ever encountered in a hotel. You really felt at home sitting down there. A dynamite staff, especially the bright young man in charge of the breakfast area. He’s a rockstar! A decent & clean pool & pool area, a nicely stocked hotel bar, fantastic toiletries, the ability to purchase needed amenities & a good centralized location for the area.

Love the open concept of Aloft, but our room desperately cried out for more drawers. We had clothes laying everywhere. And although the bathroom looked very hipster, it was always wet. Water seemed to leak & splash from every fixture. Compound that with a slick floor, and it was a dicey event during use. But the one thing that really needs attention is the room doors beg for slow/soft close mechanisms. They just slam shut, and it’s heard & felt up and down the halls. By everyone!

When we arrived the hotel was having some unexpected issues with the electricity due to some uncontrollable issues, but the manager and staff did their best to make the waiting guests, including myself, as comfortable as possible and as soon as the the electricity was back on things started getting better. then the elevator got stuck, so the fire department had to come and we had to use the steps but again the staff was very apologetic and nice about things. We went to the pool which was very nice then we had a drink at the bar and turned in for the night. the beds were extremely comfortable, all in all i would say it was a pretty good stay despite all the issues they were having.

The only thing I didn’t like is that our bathroom door would not close in our room.

The hotel and room were very clean and super comfortable sleeping. The room was more spacious than most. Very comfortable overall.

The water pressure from the shower was so intense I felt like my body was being sandblasted, I had to block my eyes with one hand while using the other to wash my face, the water ended up all over the bathroom floor bc it was so strong. The location of the hotel was on the county line so it was a bit of a drive to downtown and traffic gets quite backed up around the hotel.

First I'd like to say that Victoria was exceptional. Being the first time me and my girlfriend had an overnight stay together she made our stay unforgettable.. while I was fixing up the room Victoria met her in the lobby and brought her bags up... The entire staff was incredible but Victoria went above and beyond to help me make my day with my girlfriend very very special..

Beautiful property I loved the colors, the bar was nice atmosphere, the room very spacious, warm ,cozy, I loved the whole ambiance of the hotel. Front desk staff Delicia was awesome she was very professional,friendly and polite…

Something was pulled up in front of my room door at the hotel and it kept making loud knocking noise but the night shift front desk Courtney took care of the problem..

The staff I encountered were amazing. Checking in took less than 5 minutes. I was there on a Wednesday when they have a "social" at the bar, had someone playing the guitar, there is karaoke on the weekends, something fun to do. Room was a nice size I had my dogs, and they are free to stay. Room was very clean. Sheets very comfortable, nice pillows. My bed was amazing, my mother said her bed was horrible though, like old and had sinking spots in it thatade it very uncomfortable to sleep in.

I guess the only thing would be my mom had a horrible sleep because of her bed.

The location is near a number of restaurants and a good shopping area for travelers. It is very convenient to downtown Columbia or for travelers who may be flying from the airport. The rooms have a modern decor, and my room was very comfortable.

The room was very clean. Bed was super comfortable. The atmosphere at the hotel was full of energy, upbeat!

The shower did not stay closed, therefore getting the floor all wet. Made it slippery when getting out of the shower. The show needs to have some type of shelf put in it, no place to put face wash, razor etc. Room door needs to be adjusted so it doesn't slam when closing, that was a little irritating.

I had two rooms. One with a king and another with two queens. Loved the location. Literally if you needed to walk anyplace everything is so close by. The mall across the street plus additional shopping centers and plaza with much more. Pool was great for the kids. The bar was great for the adults. Amazing weekend

Didn’t like that there were no microwaves in the rooms that’s sucked. Also when I arrived one the towels in the bathroom had hair all over it I left it holder and didn’t touch. Just requested more towels. The bathroom doors were slide door that kinda got stuck not my fav. Overall not bad at all. Would stay again
