The rooms were cozy, and we looked out at the Pratt School's Music Institute. The water pressure was fantastic in our room. It was very quiet despite the air conditioning running 24/7. We had the 2 corner rooms (1205 and 1204) for our family of 4. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had some sort of minibar credit, which also applied to the Social Lounge. The location was perfect! Super close to Union Square, Fifth Ave, and of course, Greenwich Village.
On 2 busy days, our room did not get refreshed. We were able to get towels by calling down, but it's always nice to have the sink wiped up. They supply a bar of soap for the sinks, and they get mucky fast. There was also no counter space in our washrooms, so you are juggling toiletries a bit and it's nice to have a clean, dry sink. The hotel seemed to struggle with consistent air conditioning, and my husband's room was warm for one evening but overall, it was fine. I think it's a challenge to keep it all running at peak cooling on +35c days.

Location is fantastic for those of us who like being downtown and close to the Village. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. I was always greeted with a smile. I also like that they have a cute cafe and bar off the lobby, it was very easy to have that right on site for late night drinks or breakfast meetings. They also have Happy Hour with live music!
The only thing I can think of is I would prefer to have a vanity type of sink instead of a pedestal sink. Also, I would like to have USB ports by the bed.

Beautifully decorated lobby for the holidays with lots of comfortable seating options. The room was very tidy and had everything we needed. The tv was a nice bonus, but please note you cannot connect to Netflix/Hulu/etc like you can at other hotels.
No fitted sheet on the bed all 3 nights. They just use a tucked in flat sheet that becomes untucked throughout the night, so sometimes we are directly laying on top of the mattress cover. I asked housekeeping if they could put a fitted sheet on the bed but she did not know what I was talking about.

The staff were very helpful, both on checkin and especially departure. The complimentary water etc.I requested a kettle and that was very quickly provided.Overall cleanliness was excellent. We only had breakfast once in the hotel and it was very good. The bar and the bartender were very good.
We stayed in room 801.It has two queen beds which I required but the room was originally for one queen bed.The second queen bed made space in the room very tight. It is also a great room if you are an exhibitionist as the room is overlooked by apartments beside it.So you had to keep the curtains closed when you are getting dressed or coming out of the shower or leave them open and frighten the neighbours.!!!

I loved our stay here and would book again. To stay in a wonderful old building in Greenwich Village is pretty perfect for me. I would also give a shout-out to the restaurant for good food (chick pea fries, wow!) and drinks. The leisurely vibe is great and the style of the lobby and its sitting areas is a big allure. The only complaint we had was the temperature of the rooms. It was so hot and stuffy. We had the central fan going on the thermostat and they offered a room fan which we took them up on. Every night we slept with the windows open—that’s how hot it was. So I guess that’s the price of staying in an old building with character. If they could find a way to improve this, it would be golden! But even with that, I would stay again.

I must start with The service and friendliness of the staff it is superior. Rosa and Maria (and even those I don’t know by name) we’re incredibly helpful and always made us feel right at home. we became quite close and enjoyed sharing our experience with them. also Natalia in reservations helped us find a perfect room. The room was cozy (which is better than small) and the view from our 17th floor room was iconic. Cafe Society while always good simply didn’t offer enough “less fancy” foods for our taste but I’m sure for those that enjoy that it is an excellent eatery. Housekeeping service was excellent. We chose a spruce every other day and that was perfect. And finally location. We always stay in the village and love the neighborhood feel and the location of the Walker hotel fit us like a glove. The closeness of places like Murray’s Bagels, Bar 6, Hollywood Diner and so many more gave us the feel of living in the village as opposed to staying in the village. Our 9 days at the Walker is a trip we will never forget. Highly recommend.
the scaffolding outside takes away from the Architechural beauty of this hotel.

Check in was efficient and very friendly, even though we were very early. The room was on the smaller side than I'd imagined, even having stayed here before, in a larger room. It's perfectly placed for the bars and restaurants of the West Village so you can spend your stay without having to travel for great food and drink.
Perhaps a little more clarity on the room sizes. It did feel that we had a smaller room in our category , although two people coped perfectly well.

The Walker hotel is ideally situated, in a very charming area, close to everything. The room was small but nice and clean.
We didn't really have any interaction with the staff, they didn't check if everything was going well. We didn't feel taken care of. The aircon was very difficult to control

What can I say, the most memorable trip of our lives! I booked a week stay in the Walker Hotel over the New Year holiday period as a surprise Christmas present for my partner. I was also planning to pop the question to her while we were in New York! I contacted the general manager of the hotel (Christoph) ahead of our booking as I wanted to have the ring delivered to the hotel and kept safe ahead of our arrival. Christoph was extremely helpful and assured me that he would personally take care of the ring until we arrived. When we arrived at the hotel, Christoph had arranged for us to have a very nice room with a lovely view. He went out of his way to help me pick a suitable place in Central Park to propose and when I told him that it was a 'yes', he had a lovely surprise left in our room for us upon returning that evening. The whole team at the Walker Hotel were warm and inviting from the beginning and nothing was too much to ask. We had the most enjoyable and friendly experience staying here and I'm so glad I decided to book the Walker for this memorable holiday. The location was perfect, just far enough out of mid town to avoid the hustle and bustle in the evenings but close enough to all parts of the city that visiting tourists want to explore. The subway station is just around the corner and will bring you to most places in a matter of minutes. The hotel team were more than helpful in explaining which subways to get and where to visit. As for the hotel itself, a beautiful, charming, old world experience that will make you excited to return to each evening. The rooms were cleaned each day with fresh towels and toiletries. Due to covid the restaurant was closed some mornings but we found plenty of nice diners and eateries nearby. Coffee, water and newspapers are provided each day in the lobby. I would highly recommend the Walker Hotel for anyone visiting New York, its a beautiful hotel in the perfect location run by a lovely, professional team.

The hotel is absolutely charming. When you enter the decor makes you feel like you have traveled back in time to an elegant, early 20th century. It is cozy, inviting, and has a kind of quiet glamor. The staff is absolutely lovely. I was dropping my daughter off for a college summer program and needed some extra help with her bags and items. They helped me with everything and even helped me get her stuff to the school. They were warm and kind and generous and absolutely went above and beyond. It's like they have embraced the meaning of "guest" beyond someone paying to stay there.
I loved it. I would go back.
