Amazing friendly checkin from Rachel at the front desk who really made us feel at home and was so very helpful. I have stayed in many hotels all over the world but this checkin tops them all. The location is amazing right next to the campus. There's a Starbucks on site and the hotel restaurant opened the day we arrived. Food was really good.

A small stain on the bedsheet. Wifi was sometime intermittent.

Staff was fun, engaging, and informative! The check in area and entrance smelled amazing! The decor was fun and entertaining. The room had chic little touches of flare which were neat and interesting. Since the hotel is operated by students, the hotel is University themed. Even the room keys are designed like student ID cards of previous students. Ours was Prince, it came with his years of attendance and student photo. We only stayed one night but had tons of fun!

no breakfast offered now. Location good for access to medical needs.

Why do they put a handicapped room at the furthest point from the elevator? i.e. room 350. Also thought it would have a walk-in shower and not a step-in tub with grab bars. Closet impossible to use unless moved a chair out the of way.

The design was very unique and well done. Really enjoyed our walks through campus too. Also was nice to see the gym had two Pelotons!

The staff was friendly, but at times they seemed understaffed.

The location and amenities provided were appreciated. The room was comfortable and clean.

There were a few discrepancies in communication and printed/digital material. In the room it tells you to reference a field guide given at check in for instructions to utilize the phone. When we inquired at the front desk, as we didn’t receive one, the representative wasn’t aware of the guide. We finally found the guide after signing into the wifi and it referenced a complimentary shuttle. When we asked how to utilize the shuttle we were told it was no longer in use. Lastly there was a mildewy smell in the lobby the entire trip that was unpleasant.

The breakfast in the hotel that is slightly expensive, but there was a lot of it and it was tasty. The hotel staff are extremely friendly. There is a lot of space in the lobby area where you can entertain yourself. There is a top golf facility on site with an excellent gym that has peloton bikes. Across the road is a massive University swimming pool which you can use too. There are small shops and small basic takeaway joints that you can eat at in the local area. The hotel is very much in the middle of the University area. It's not immediately within walking distance of downtown and you need to get a tram or taxi to do the state or have a bicycles for free to loan from the resort.

The location, the access to the light rail routes, the university ambiance. The hotel staff were very busy, but tried their best to be helpful during our stay. The staff at the restaurant (The Beacon) were very nice and accommodating. The Starbucks on site was also a plus.

The hotel was very busy and quite noisy during our April stay, with many large groups coming and going. Our room had a common door to an adjoining room, so we could hear clearly the conversations, etc. in the next room. Parking was in great demand during our stay. The adjoining parking ramp was convenient with a short indoor bridge to the hotel's second floor.

We liked this hotel. Staff were unfailingly nice and polite. It was just so full all the time. It was almost impossible to get a seat in the common areas because they were packed with students or parents of students or lecturers with students. Were they all staying? Who knows! It seemed to be a meeting spot as well as a staying spot. When we did get a seat, though, the sofa we tried was clearly nearing the end of its life anyway. The room was fab, the blackout was great and we had a good view of the tram and the shops. It was quiet, which we hadn't expected, except in the common areas. The fire and water fountain outside was spectacular (even though it smelt strongly of gas!) but the free parking was all taken up no matter when we returned (because of it being full of students etc) although the pay parking was convenient. It was great to be so near the tram and getting to the stadium for the football game was easy. Similarly getting to the Mall of America was easy although there was a lot of work going on so it wasn't quite as simple as it will be in the future. The attached bar was nice - limited range of cocktails but a big range of beers and a good menu. There were plenty of places to eat in walking distance too. So I liked the hotel but it was very busy. Not sure I was in the right demographic either (I'm a professor not a college student) I didn't feel I was anyway. I probably wouldn't come back to this hotel but would choose somewhere a little more central.

That the hotel was always busy and noisy in common areas.

The ambiance. Decor was old school, everything matched the theme of the hotel. The location was perfect for getting to the sporting events and the mall. Very easy to use the metro.

I took some things to my car very early in the morning and my key did not work to get into the lobby. I called the number on the door and noone answered. I had to wake my son up with a phone call to come let me in. Otherwise, everything was great.
