Very nice and cozy hotel inside. The architecture and decor are top notch. Comfortable, beautiful and very cozy room, quiet, with a large safe and good Wi-Fi. The shower door closes and makes it impossible to wet the bathroom floor. The shelf where the coffee and tea kit is, and the minibar, is very beautiful, with a complete kit, with good options. At the reception, a bar with high quality music, at a volume and time suitable for a hotel. Basic gym OK. Attentive and efficient staff. Excellent lodging option in Minneapolis. If I could give a score greater than 10, I would.

The Canopy Hilton is a beautifully designed hotel with art works, pottery, furniture, sculpture, and mobiles to admire. Staff was very friendly. There were two bikes we were able to use to pedal along the Mississippi. The breakfasts were very good. Live music was performed over the weekend. The location in the Mill District was excellent with a good number of restaurants nearby especially Thai, Japanese and Korean. The Mill House Museum, walking distance, was a very interesting experience and the impressive Guthrie Theater is in that district too.

The rooms are not sound proof. The walls are thin so that we heard voices as well as a protesting dog for hours. The couple of women in the room next to ours who talked all night should not have been disturbing if the hotel's construction had been properly seen through. The hotel was very decent about this disturbance and refunded us the cost of that night, (we were staying from Wednesday to Sunday).

Location was near lovely Mill ruins park and stone bridge which made for lovely place to go walking. Trader Joe's and restaurants nearby super convenient. Staff were friendly and speedy. Even with out daily room service, room was super clean. Really liked the updated bathroom w spacious hot shower and the unique decor and art throughout the room and hotel lobby. Felt WAY more comfy than the usual corporate hotel style. Bed was comfy and it was quiet, we slept well. 1 mile walk or short Lyft to downtown area. Overall we felt safe in this area and had a lovely 1st time visit to Minneapolis, would happily stay here again.

I wish Umbra restaurant was open later at night. I saw cruiser bikes in lobby and I regret not having had time to ask about renting/using those during the stay!

The room was fantastic. I had never been in a hotel room where the ceiling was that high. The room was spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The Umbra Restaurant was superb.

Even though I was on the top floor, I could hear patrons of the bar loudly cackling with drunken laughter. It was incessant and annoying because I had to catch an early flight. They do shut the bar down and turn out the lights at 11PM, and the noise stops.

First of all, I want to commend this hotel's staff. Prior to my stay, I realized that Canopy AND Booking.com were advertizing the same room type and dates for my stay for over $100 less per night. Booking.com refused to honor their "price guarantee" -- stating that the terms have to be the EXACT same. Booking.com had a different cancellation policy for the same hotel and dates (I could cancel for free up until 11:59 PM the night before but lost that ability 3 days before my travel on my original reservation that I booked two months ago). This is how they get out of not honoring their price guarantee. I contacted the hotel directly and the front desk manager said she would approve a cancelation and I could rebook at the lower price. Now THAT is how you do customer service. So, just know that you may be penalized for booking in advance with Booking.com. Also, I wasn't elibigle for hotel points because I booked on this site. About the hotel. It's lovely and reminds me of the Hewing but with better rooms IMO. Modern and classy. The lobby area was comfortable and posh. We had a glass of wine at the bar before heading out to our event. Our only complaint is that they shut everything down at 10. So, when we returned at 11, it was lights out. Would be nice to have a hotel bar open a little later. The room was lofted and really cool. Nespresso in the room and very spacious, with a great view of the city. The bed was comfortable. My only issue is that the bedding and pillows were down. It was one of those "falling asleep when my head hit the pillow" kind of nights. I woke up a few hours later and was completely stuffed up. Then started sneezing. I looked for another blanket and pillows and there weren't any. So, I didn't sleep well. I had to put a towel over the pillow but I tossed and turned. So, I would just suggest offering alternatives. There was a strong perfume scent in the room as well.

Down bedding; perfume smell in the room; bar/restaurant closed early; nothing in the room to tell us about hotel services like room service, where the fitness center was located, etc.

The location was awesome! Went to a concert at the armory. We were only a few blocks away. The hotel staff was so friendly. The place was clean. The lofted ceiling rooms on the 6th floor were very Rad! Usually not into the old hotel thing bit this was very retro shiek. The ice machine was on our floor, score! And best of all, after sloshed from Bring Me The Horizon played, we ordered a pizza from Pizza Luce's. ๐Ÿ• Pizza was delivered for free, no door dash straight from the restaurant within 15 minutes or so. Super fast. Bruchetta was amazing. Try the potatoe pizza ๐Ÿ• ๐Ÿ˜‹ amazing! Overall, the telly gets a 12 out of 10! Will be back and we usually only stay in thousand dollar rooms. No need here. Different and different experience. Oh and we looked out our window at US Bank Stadium ๐ŸŸ score again.

That you had to park in US Bank Stadiums parking ramp. That was minor. It's almost touching their building. Amazing place.

Room was very clean. It was quiet and we never heard noise from other guests or the elevators. Loved that the shower and toilet had a door so they could be closed off from the sink. So someone could shower or use the bathroom while another person was using the sink / counter area. There was also a sliding door that could be closed between the bathroom entry are and the beds. That was nice in the morning so you werenโ€™t waking up someone who is still sleeping while you go to shower or get ready.

From the pictures and description of our booking I was under the impression weโ€™d be getting a bigger room with a sitting area. I even went to their website to look at pictures and descriptions before booking. but we got a standard sized room. So I wish they could be much clearer with their room descriptions and photos.

We loved our stay at the Canopy and could not rave more about it! It was clean, comfortable, and cozy during one of the coldest weekends of the winter. The ambiance was stellar. Just a cool hotel all around. Plus the nearby attractions-- Stone Arch and the St. Anthony Main area-- add to the quality of this hotel.

We had the Valentine's set menu at Umbra and were unimpressed. Wished we had done the more casual dining option.

Amazing experiential architecture with an interesting flashback to Minneapolis flour milling roots. GREAT interior experiential design, GREAT room layout and amenities. GREAT location.

Food and beverage was the only downside. Food and drink quality did not match caliber of everything else. I would not expect such poor quality for food especially breakfast (powder / formula eggs?? Come on guys) for a boutique concept of this level.

Located in the Mill district, walking distance from US Bank stadium and the river/rec area. Easily accessible, low traffic density. Higher-end restaurants are a short Uber trip away. 13 minutes from downtown St. Paul. Rooms were beautifully appointed and very clean. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Fast mobile check-in and keycard system.

Very little. Waitress at the main restaurant bar didn't know a Smith & Kerns cocktail, and was flustered at last call despite only a moderate level of activity. Other than that, not a bad thing to say about our stay.
