They are very accommodating with my time of arrival and departure. Staff were nice and pleasant. They let me leave my luggage for a couple of hours. Love the tiny spread of pastries they had at the lobby! and the coffee, too.

It's an old hotel, kind of expected the wear and tear. The noise coming from outside since there were homeless people. Also the reason I didn't go out at night. A fridge would have been a plus!

The room was clean, warm, and spacious enough for two people. The location is very convenient — just a couple of blocks from Union Square. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The beds were very noisy with every movement, and the floor creaked a lot. It was strange that there was no trash bin in the room, only one in the bathroom. Breakfast had a very limited selection, and if more than 4 people were out, there was no proper place to sit and eat — it felt uncomfortable eating on our laps.

The room and bathroom were extremely clean. The location of the building is very close to the train station if you are using that as transportation from the airport. They have a lovely little restaurant attached to the hotel where we went to enjoy a nice Italian meal. The staff was always helpful and welcoming.

The bed was slightly uncomfortable, when I would roll over or even get in it I would bounce all over the place which I kept waking up from. It was very warm in the room so I had to leave the window open but noises from the street and people on the alleys were so loud that it kept us up as well.

Very clean rooms with cute, functional decor. Plenty of usb plugs. Comfortable bed. Toilet was a bit to close to the tub so had to sit at an angle but other than that, the room was great.

Note there was no A/C in our room, only a ceiling fan. We were there for 3 nights in July when the daytime temperature highs were below 70 F and plenty of fog. Cracking the window with the fan was cool enough but I don’t think it would be so nice if the outside temperature was warm.

Breakfast delivered at floor level with coffee, bananas and clementines, and croissants. However, the previous years, there were also muffins and juice, I appreciated a lot, which were no more available during my last stay. Very kind people at the reception. The bathtub.

The radiator was noisy. No blackout curtains on the windows. Very poor choice of TV channels. Not enough space to store clothes. During previous stays there was a chest of drawers.

Central to everything, public transport easily accessible, clean room and comfy bed

Breakfast set up in the morning, the space isn’t big enough for all the guests. The lobby becomes very crammed and the people end up standing outside to eat. I didn’t bother. Breakfast looked simple, bagels, breads, spread and I think cereals

The property was nice, the room was big and had a window. The TV was also great. The space was clean. The breakfast was simple but reliable and helped in SF where everything is very expensive. For a stay of a week it was good.

The bathroom sink was rather small and the water pressure was not as strong as I expected--still, both were serviceable enough, this was a minor issue.

The staff was very responsive to any questions or concerns - for example, my bathtub wouldn't fill and they had maintenance there within an hour. The bed was comfortable and had everything I needed. A free glass of wine at night, lovely restaurant next door to eat at when you're too tired to move.. all around lovely.

While there was breakfast, it felt a little meager.

Location was great. In the heart of where all the attractions are. Hilly city but walkable and lots of restaurants nearby.very clean hotel.

The free continental breakfast was on floors 3 and 6 and extremely limited and was completely gone on the first morning that the second morning of our stay i had to get up quite early just to get something. Bathrooms are tiny but very clean. Sit on the toilet and had the sink in my face literally. Made it super tight to even stand to pull up pants.I’m 5 ft 9” If opening the windows for fresh air at night you’ll hear lots of noises from either drunk or crazy people swearing and screaming things at all times of the night below. Sleeping was rough although bed very comfortable. It is a neat old hotel and don’t regret staying there at all.

Comfortable bed and clean room, loved the vibe which was like a historic boarding house. Location was good and great food across the street and all around. Tiny bathroom in our room, but just big enough! We had everything we needed and would book again.

Breakfast was a little like the Hunger Games. When we arrived (at 12am after a long flight) we were told to be sure to get breakfast at 7am or it runs out…not a great way to start a vacation! No sleeping in if we wanted breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast included good coffee but small, grocery-store pastries and nothing else, not a banana in sight. I’d suggest either beefing up and being more generous with breakfast or stop advertising that it’s included and let guests relax and not battle over the slim pickings at 7am!
