Historic building and friendly staff made it a unique experience. Breathtaking bay views. Children play area was very nice. Didn’t use the spa but seems very nice as well.
Breakfast is at a restaurant which is very crowded with out of hotel guests so book a patio table for breakfast. The hotel swimming pool is shared with a club and gets very crowded and is difficult to access. We did go on Labor Day weekend.

The room and bathroom were very nice and the beds were very comfortable - we all got a good night's sleep! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our brunch at the Limewood Bar and Restaurant was amazing and so was the view from our table.
Even though all three pools were open, the pool was very crowded and there were children in the pool who were bumping into and splashing the adults without apologizing. We understand that this is not the fault of the hotel but it kept us from having the enjoyable and relaxing time at the pool that we were expecting. We also wished that there were more umbrellas to provide shade.

We arrived about 2.5 hours before an event we were attending at the Chabot Science Center (NASA Ames Researcher Anniversary Gala event 3/31) and Effie checked us in. She greeted us warmly and we returned a happy greeting. When we asked her how her day was going, she was happy that we were so happy. She was kind enough to add our stay to our Accor account so we'd get the credit. We always stay at the Claremont and she was very happy that we returned. We had booked a Junior Suite, and Effie said that the room didn't have the best view. She was super excited that a Signature Bay View Suite was available and offered us the upgraded room for a fraction of the full cost (since we already paid for the junior suite). She also offered us a late check out (1pm)! When we arrived at our room, Effie called us to see how we liked it and offered her services if we needed anything. Effie had insisted we come down to the champaign reception (daily @ 5pm) and we had a glass before heading out to our Gala event. Next morning, we had a relaxing brunch and enjoyed the perfectly sunny day on the balcony, overlooking the Bay/San Francisco. The Claremont is always a lovely stay and we look forward to returning very soon!

It’s a beautiful, well-maintained, historical building that has retained its historical feel, but with modern furnishings. There’s an unconceited elegance to the hotel that makes it a very comfortable place to stay.
There is insufficient parking. I stayed at the hotel for a company Christmas party. I was really fortunate that I arrived early, as I was able to find a parking space (though not without difficulty). my colleagues who arrived later had a very difficult time finding parking, some of them circling the parking lots for quite some time. I only have one other mild complaint. At a hotel as nice as the Claremont, I would have expected a higher quality robe and towels in my room. I found them to be stiff and not very soft. Not a big deal, but I would recommend an upgrade.

View was great! Right across from the Bay and Golden gate bridges. The room Was very small but beautifully decorated and you can tell the old time charm of this hotel is still present. The staff was exceptional they were ready to help out should the smallest request come up - usb cords, car order. The pool area on weekdays was great! Overall we had a great stay here with my friend and felt pampered.
Our room didn’t have a full length mirror that was a little odd but other than that it was a very nice stay. Weekends and Memorial Day was overly busy by the pool because the fitness club members were all coming in too. It would be great if they kept a few chairs reserved for hotel guests during those times.

We purchased a $50 steak and it was served with French fries and ketchup. The quality of the steak was awful. That was unacceptable.

The room was wonderful. I always go for the rooms with the views of the bay. You can see both the Golden Gate and the Bay Bridge and it's really a beautiful hotel. My son needed to drive me to San Francisco. I always try to make it a memorable trip for him. He loved it! Who wouldn't?
I was disappointed the other restaurant wasn't opened. The other restaurant provided a sense of pleasure with the gourmet food and excellent service.

it was hidden gem to me. had a boutique feel. the staff was AMAZING. from front desk supervisor, Makiva. to Flo and Janet at the restaurant, the spa was superb (Jamie). they all made my self care getaway top notch. very clean. nice view and great gym. I also felt Covid safety precautions were at a good standard.
the mattress was not overly comfortable. it was very firm. it wasn’t that I didn’t enjoy it but not firm/plush I’d that makes sense.

The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless.
They allowed a relative to check into my room and provided a key without my permission. There was no add'l name on my reservation but gave the key away nonetheless.
