The staff was amazing, discovered I left my phone in an Uber and the young lady at the desk was so kind..she went the extra mile with me to help get my phone back, she even drove to the nearby phone service company and waited for me to finish my transaction, because she knew I was traveling alone and It was raining very hard..eventually with her help and the help of the phone service agent. I was able to finally get my phone back and was able to move on with my day. I was so...happy and grateful, definitely a kind and passionate person..impeccable service, facilities were very clean as well.

Our room was quiet

My wife used her credit card to pay in advance on September 7, 2025. But when we checked in on September 13, 2025. Holiday Inn Express charge my wife's credit card a second time, plus $100 deposit fee. It's very inconvenient and unprofessional to deal with getting refunded one of the payments. My advice is try to communicate between Booking.com and Holiday Inn Express to fix this issue or you both will lose business with current and future customers.

Good standard hotel, everything works, the place is clean the rooms are pretty big. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Breakfast has a pretty wide choice.

Some breakfast items run out. It's in an area of Berkeley that is just A bit run down but we feel safe enough walking the streets after dark.

Rooms were clean and beds comfortable, hotel breakfast was very good and surprised with all the options available. There’s a delicious Thai restaurant right next door and serve delicious food. Plus there are a couple coffee and pastry shops across the street and both are delicious! We’ll return to this hotel.

The location was easy to reach and convenient, with some great restaurant options nearby. Staff was gracious, room updated and clean, and the breakfast was excellent.

It was pretty expensive for not being downtown. We heard some noise from other guests in the hall and in the parking lot late at night.

Well. So separate from what hotel holiday inn is. I’m just have. A issue on the parking lot the asshole was parking next to me just open his car door and hit my And dame fe my car. Is a dum ass but is nothin whit holiday is just that Asshole. Dum ass beside that the rest is perfect

Our room—3rd floor, overlooked the parking lot. The noise from University Ave woke me up a couple of times. We never heard noise from the halls though. Better insulation?

I was just visiting Berkeley for a concert, and this hotel was perfectly located. Very, very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast (with a pretty good variety of stuff!), and a ton of good food options in a close walking distance. I don't stay in chain hotels very often, and honestly, I was blown away.

Not much of a complaint, but I believe breakfast started at 7:00; I would put it at 6:00. But that didn't affect much.

My room was spacious and comfortable. Food was great and with several options. Overall, the staff running the place was on top of everything and eager to help.

Nothing bad really, but the extractor in my bathroom wasn’t working, but always cleaned by the housekeeper.

I like the location. It's only 10 minutes driving to UC Berkeley. I like the breakfast that served the guests and offering variety of food. I like egg whites veggies omelette, biscuits and sausage gravy.

I wish that the check in time would be 2:00 p.m. and the check out time is 1:00 p.m.
