The rooms with kitchen feature full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, kitchen sink. Kitchen has pots, pans, wine glasses, utensils and dining china. City view room had great view of misty Berkeley hills in morning. Because hotel has actual residents, staff are more friendly and hospitable compared to normal hotel staff. Comfortable for a multi-day stay if you need a temporary apartment. Two large screen tvs (you need your own Netflix, Prime sign-ins). Location is heart of Berkeley - great restaurant options across the street.

AC built-in unit groans very loudly when on; so does dishwasher. If both happen to be on at the same time, you must leave the living room and hide in bedroom. Toilet has no extractor fan. Toiletries are generic and somewhat harsh (bring your own). Breakfast (included) is a buffet with eggs and bacon, waffles, bagels, English muffin, yogurt and fruit. While decent, if you stay multiple days it can get boring as it doesn't change.

The location was perfect. We stayed on a Sat night, caught TAB at the Greek and were able to secure free street parking after the show. The hotel is beautiful and spacious. Check in was fast despite the late night line. So many working elevators! Amazing, after staying in the city so many times and being forced to cram into the one working elevator. The room was huge, like a medium sized apt. The door opens into a living room kitchen area with table and chairs, complete kitchen, large open space, couch and tv. There is a sliding barn door to the middle space with a sink and closet on the left. Another sliding door directly across from the sink leads to the shower and toilet. From there you can walk into the large bedroom where there is more space to unpack your things. Blackout curtains covered the entire wall of glass, no perks of light. The bed was super comfortable. The room was very quiet with minimal street noise at level 4. This was our favorite Residence Inn by Marriott by far! I was ready to move in. You could stay there comfortable forever. I made tea on the stove, put the leftovers in the fridge. We had late night Thai leftovers with real silverware at a kitchen table in true luxury There are so many excellent places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. We had the best breakfast we’ve had in a long time at Gather.

Breakfast was good. The server when asked where the milk was answered in a snippy voice. The others were so good and friendly.

Our dinner at the rooftop lounge was good but they didn't bring out our BR burger till we were done and then said they would make it to go. When we took it out in the room the underneath was burned black and inedible. I put that meal on my credit card and want a refund of 25.00 for it. I liked that meal till they pulled that 'palm off a burnt burger' act.

The breakfast was not great but having a kitchen was wonderful. I just picked up some breakfast things and made my own. That seemed like a healthier choice than eggs and bacon. I found my suite comfortable and very quiet. The location was very close to the rapid transit that takes you to SF airport.

I don't have any complaints really.

Location of the hotel, cleanliness and space. It is pet friendly too. Staff was friendly and attentive. The rooms were nice, I didn’t want to leave.

The hotel charged my daughter’s credit card TWICE for the stay causing the credit limit to be exceeded and other items that are automatically paid, to be declined. Aggravating and stressful. It is still not resolved😡

I loved that the security was amazing can’t use the elevators or restrooms if u didn’t have a key. Staff was so nice and accommodating. Easy accessibility to stores and restaurants. The best part about the hotel we had 2 flat tvs in our room a stovetop, microwave,dishwasher and everything included like soap, cooking pans, dishes etc! Would definitely recommend staying here!!!

great bar on rooftop, great location, good breakfast

parking was $54 plus tax per night. Bo housekeeping. keys kept not working so needed to go back down each time. parking is valley only and takes a long time to wait

The breakfast is very good, the service staff is very nice. The location is convenience for us. We are very satisfied with this hotel and it is highly recommended.

I really like this hotel and there's nothing unsatisfactory during my stay.
