I spent 4 nights in this true Ca’ (palace). has a normal entry for pedestrians and one from the canal for gondolas or water taxis - interesting! the interior decorations give the elegance of old times. good location in Cannaregio, near to Canale Grande , 15min walk from Piazzale Roma (railway station and bus station) 25 min walk to piazza san marco and 10min from Rialto bridge. also 10min walk to Fondamenta de la Misericordia where are very good terraces with excellent local food and good prices, where the locals also came. vaporetto stations near are Ca’ D’Oro and S. Marcuola Casino. very helpful staff, I get from the first moment tips for good restaurants. always there for you for everything you ask for. clean, the camera looks nice and the service is excellent. bathroom is modern, clean, all facilities included. excellent breakfast with three main alternatives, you can combine them on your taste, staff is very flexible. I enjoyed every moment in this excellent place. value for money—excellent!!! I recommend this place.

I liked everything!

We enjoyed the hotel location near the river and the exceptional breakfast in the sunlit lounge area with flowers in the balcony and sounds of the morning streets. But the most of all, I appreciate the careful and helpful attitude of the staff. I managed to leave my rain jacket in the wardrobe after the check-out but the staff was extremely helpful in communicating with DHL office and sending it back to me.

Quite a small room with a window facing a wall of a neighbour building. However, we were too tired after our mountain trip that we didn't bother to try to change the room for a better view for one night.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights and were offered a complimentary upgrade to room 204, which has a great view over the canal. The room was spacious and cosy. The bed and pillows were super comfy, which we only realised and appreciated when we moved to another hotel. The location is less crowded than in St Mark's area, yet still within walking distance to all places of interest and transportation links. We walked to the hotel from Piazze Roma in 20 min; no ferries or taxis are required at all for this hotel. They also offer complimentary tea and coffee at the bar and have a small terrace over the canal. Great ambience, location, and staff. It was our first time in Venice, and this hotel made a very special first impression.

Great location! Easy to go anywhere. Would recommend to Buy a 24/48 hour waterboat ticket and you can hop on and hop off as much as you like. Also great if you get lost so you don't have to get more tickets. Supermarked right by the hotel and shops. Close to the Rialto area, San Marco palazzo, train and bus station. . Hotel staff was extremely helpful, informative, and wonderful. Staff was always present, alert to any needs you might have. Staff helped with getting train tickets and suggestions of places to eat and drink. I highly recommend this hotel, and I will definitely come back. The area has so much to offer, and I was only in my room for showers and sleep. Exceptional rating from me.

We spended two nights here in the Junior Suite. We enjoyed the staying very much. Everybody was absolutely nice and helpful. The location is at a very good place, everything is near. Our window looked at two bridges (Ponte Nicoló Pasqualigo and Ponte S. Felice), we could watch with my little daughters the people walking, boats going on the rio di Noale. In the morning, the rising sun shines into the room, above the church, Chiesa di San Felice. I highly recommend Ca Gottardi!

Everything was fine. Our room was in an another building, not where the reception is, but that was not a problem. The room is on the second floor. It is a little bit noisy in the early morning, because goods are brought to the restaurant nearby. But these were not real problems for us.

This was the most expensive of the 4 hotels I stayed in Italy so my expectations were high .We were very impressed on arrival and greeted by one of the nicest guys in reception Diajo ,he was wonderful.We were offered refreshments and snacks while we waited for our rooms.Unfortunately our rooms were in another building ,down a side street next to the hotel. This was a big disappointment as it is a very shabby building and two flights of stairs ! There is no reception in this building and as a group of 7 people we missed the opportunity to sit around the hotel.The breakfast was limited and again for the price ,we expected more. Diajo went out of his way to assist us in every way, he is an asset to the hotel .

Our rooms were in another building ,incomparable to the hotel.People need to be aware of this.

Really enjoyed our stay, staff were superb. Readily initiated helping, including carrying our 2 heavy cases up the stairs. High quality fittings in the lovely antique furnished room. Super comfy bed. Room was small but quite adequate with a view out over the street and canal. En suite was great. Breakfast was fantastic as was the setting. Would happily stay again.

Only issue we had, was difficulty finding this wonderful place. Waterbus staff weren't familiar with it and dropped us off in the wrong place, twice. In reality it was relatively close to the waterbus. Be sure to familiarise yourself with location before setting off.

Very good air-conditioning, perfect location in the city center right in between of San Marco, S.Lucia train station and Fondamente Nove (to take a boat to Murano and Burano), and 2 min walk to take traghetto to Mercato di Rialto. The room was very clean, everything worked well and was in a good order. Nothing to complain about. Exceptionally friendly personnel, спасибо большое!

Quite a small room, but that's okay if you are alone, and it was not really a problem.

the location is good, but the address in the booking is wrong which will lead you to another place. you should search the hotel name instead. the room is proper prepared which is quite clean. the staff is quite warm and offer nice service.

the breakfast is definitely need huge room to be improved. the salad is not fresh and not so many choices. the reception is at first floor, but if you carry your luggage to the reception, they may tell you that your room is in another building and you need to carry it downstairs and re-carry it upstairs again. it's quite noisy during the early morning. my room has a queen bed but it was composed with two different mattress which is the first time to see.

The location is perfect, it is 7 minutes to Rialto bridge. The room is clean, the breakfast was delicious. The manager lady was very kind, she helped us a lot. She always helped when we had any questions.

In the mornings and in the evenings the cleaning staff stamped the doors, it was unpleasant. Unfortunately the room was dark,the window opens to a dark alley.
