The location is fantastic and the reception staff were all wonderful - very helpful and friendly. Literally nothing was too much trouble and the staff provided lots of helpful information. The hotel is conveniently located close to the main shopping area. There was no traffic noise despite the location.

The walls seem fairly thin as we could hear conversations from other rooms very clearly. More noise insulation would be useful.

Location excellent for ancient monuments, especially San Vitale & Mausoleum of Galla Placidia; also for Piazza della Popolo and Mercato. The hotel was very pleasantly traditional. Good TV and a mini fridge appreciated. Big choice at breakfast.

Would only advise guests arriving at the station to take a taxi rather than pull luggage over cobbled pavements.

A warm and friendly welcome and helpful guidance on parking securely nearby. Our room was well appointed, comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We liked being in the old city shopping area and the hotel is just 4 mins walk from the Mausoleo di Galla Placidia and Basilica di San Vitale and 10 mins easy stroll from The Battistero Neoniano [which is entered through] the Museo e Cappella Arcivescovile.

The staff at Hotel Bisanzio went above and beyond to help us with restaurant choices, what to see, getting to the cruise terminal and general area information. They are all so kind and welcoming. The Ravenna area was a pleasant surprise. The location of the hotel is absolutely the best. We were within walking distance to the sights, shopping and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this wonderful hotel.

The breakfast was wonderful for me, however, my husband is more accustomed to an American style breakfast. That is just a personal preference. The breakfast that was provided was fresh and delicious and what was expected.

The hotel was very clean, there was a lot of choice at breakfast, staff very helpful and kind. price was ok if you compare location and service to other hotels . The best thing apart from this is the location. Right in the centre, can walk to all the sites easily, surrounded by restaurants, cafés and shops. Just a 10minute walk to the train station. And so in my mind makes it the best choice compared to other hotels I looked at on here and saw while staying in Ravenna. Would definitely stay here again.

Any picky minor gripe I might have are superficial, it's looking a bit tired. But I'm sure as tourism and hospitality industry begins to pickup the owners will get on to it. But honestly price comparison, location and staff would make you put that to one side.

Great location! You can easily walk to main sites and train station. Late dinners in the evening the surrounding streets are well lit and have people walking so you feel very safe. Also proximity to Mercato Coperto is a plus. Staff and breakfast very nice.

Bathroom could use an update. Especially did not like hair dryer attached to wall.

Located in the heart of town only a 10 minute walk from the railway station and surrounded by exceptionally good local restaurants. The hotel was clean and offered a good breakfast and the staff were very helpful indeed.

We were going on a cruise and stayed at the Hotel the night before but beware on Cruise days local taxis are overwhelmed, not at all the Hotels issue, but luckily the helpful staff had already warned us at check in, called in favours from local contacts and got us a taxi.

I picked this hotel because of its location just a few blocks from Ravenna’s Mosaics buildings area. The reception manager gave me two good recommendation on where to be comfortable eating dinner on my own - a few blocks in the other direction from the hotel. Streets very safe and not crowded. Great place to stay.

Location was excellent - less than 100 metres from the main pedestrian street. The rooms were a good size and included separate space with a desk and two chairs. 24 hour reception a plus - as was the provision of parking permit. The lobby area was a good size and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate.

Shower flooded the bathroom floor - perhaps because the water pressure was rather low.

Breakfast was great, one of our party had severe allergies, although there was a bit of a language barrier with the breakfast staff the concierge was happy to assist, very helpful. Also very close to the square, good restaurants to go to and some shops if you want snacks to bring back to the hotel
