This hotel/B&B was the star of our 2 week Italy trip. It was absolutely great in every respect - we would give them 6 GOLD STARS if we could! This historic home is beautifully decorated, and the owner/host gave us a warm greeting and lots of excellent information about sites in Ravenna as well as restaurant recommendations. The location was A+ perfect, just a few minutes’ walk from the train station and in the heart of Ravenna’s historic area. There were countless restaurants, cafes, and bars nearby. Just about all of city’s sights are a few minutes’ walk. The neighborhood was safe and secure. The room was huge, well-designed, decorated, furnished, and absolutely immaculate! The bed was very comfortable. We also appreciated the enormous breakfast with wonderful local pastries and a wonderful assortment of cereals, yogurts and toppings. As frequent travelers, we always appreciate attention to details, and this hotel clearly knows travelers’ needs. Thank you!!!

Anna is a marvelous host; so helpful and knowledgeable. She has been foung this a long time. She made it possible for us to maximize our time in fabulous Ravenna. I would have preferred a 1st floor room but the stairs did us good! The room was very elegant, comfortable, spacious and quiet. Bathroom large and well equipped. The breakfast was fantastic - varied options, hot, cold, sweet, savoury and good tea and coffee. Location in the middle of the historic centre. Affordable parking nearby. Who could ask for more?

We had amazing experience in Casa Masoli. The building is looked like medieval Palace and every room is beautiful, unique, with lots of character but comfortable, comfy with all modern appliances. We came for one night before a cruise but it could be a destination, just to enjoy the property and Ravenna. Breakfast was superb, better than on cruise ship. Pastries from local bakery were top notch. Special thank you to Anna who treated us like family, recommended places, drove us to pre-cruise tests, arrange 2 cars to port, etc. When in Ravenna we will only stay in this amazing place.

Absolutely fabulous hotel. The building is exquisite and interesting. Our room was beautiful and exceptionally clean. Lots of attention to detail, such as espresso maker in the room, quality tea cups and drinking water glasses, nice toiletries etc. Provides a sense of luxury and comfort which is so nice when you are on holiday somewhere as beautiful as Ravenna. Soundproofing excellent, so a quiet place to sleep despite central location. Breakfast simple but nicely done. Probably the nicest hotel we ever stayed in, in Italy.

The length of our stay. Wanted longer.

This place is perfect if you're planning a short trip to see the mosaics. It's within easy walking of all the main sites and plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops. It's an elegant old town house. Our room was spacious with a 4-poster bed, lots of sofas, a walk-in closet area and a fine bathroom. The high ceiling had the remains of an old fresco. All in all much more atmospheric and charming than a standard hotel. The ladies in charge are lovely and the breakfast is excellent. Terrific value for money.

Obviously this isn't a full-service hotel. So don't expect all those services. It's a different kind of experience but a rather delightful one.

The entire palazzo was gorgeous: historic, stylish, comfortable, superbly decorated, and filled with gorgeousness. Our ground-floor suite was huge and spectacular, and the breakfast buffet was extensive, freshly-prepared and utterly delicious. Anna is lovely and looked after us extremely well: nothing was too much trouble. Superb value for money. Oh, and there's an adorable dog, whose nickname is 'Begs for Ham'! The location was brilliant, just a short walk from Piazza del Popolo and numerous bars and places to eat. Everything exceeded our expectations.

Only one small thing could have been bettered: an accessible wall socket to charge our phones, laptop etc. is needed. But we managed by temporarily unplugging the huge television, so it really wasn't much of an issue.

A beautiful and tastefully decorated palazzo just a few steps from the center of town. Each room had a different theme/feel and each looked inviting and comfortable. We were able to stay in the beautiful and spacious red and green room and it was very warm and cozy, so much so, we found it hard to leave! For breakfast, our hosts would make a special order hot breakfast of your choosing and the buffet table had many choices of fruit/veggies, cheeses/meats and a variety of sweets to choose from. We enjoyed our stay very much ;)

We had a wonderful time at Casa Masoli in beautiful Ravenna in early June 2024. This is a beautiful old mansion (palazzo style). Lovely corridors with plants, big wooden doors, nice staircases, and high vaulted ceilings with frescos. It is located on a quiet but central street, just opposite a little square with the very pleasant bar-café-record store Fargo. The lady running Casa Masoli was friendly and quick to respond to any questions. The suite we stayed in was enormous, with lovely furniture. Well-equipped with fridge, air conditioning etc. The air conditioning unit isn't that powerful to cool such a cavernous space, so some travellers might be a little warm in summer. Still pleasant leaving the windows open but be careful of mosquitoes. Bathroom was also huge and very pleasant. The room is opulent but, above all, very comfortable. Breakfast is served both hot and cold, with a selection of delicious cakes. This is a great place to stay in Ravenna and would wholeheartedly recommend. I extend this recommendation to Ravenna as a whole, a great little city with a fabulous collection of mosaics and churches for those interested in Byzantine and Orthodox Christian art and history. In short, I was sad I wasn’t able to stay longer.

Casa Masoli is a traditional and comfortable B&B, elevated by simple building access technology, ample electric outlets, and our gracious and helpful host. It is well-located near excellent food and within walking distance of most Unesco World Heritage sites. Our Junior Suite was hardly junior! It was up two flights of stairs, but still easily accessible and extraordinarily quiet for a location with vehicular traffic just outside the entrance. We came across our first luggage hoist, a replacement for hefting heavy bags up the stairs. Breakfast was impressive -- including a juicing machine a tray of vegetables and other offerings to combine

This beautiful manor in a perfect location in the old city was a wonderful place to explore the incredible historic sites containing amazing mosaics going back 1,500 years. The Casa's location was within easy walking distance to the train station, the UNESCO sites, great restaurants recommended by Casa Masoli and shopping. There are contemporary mosaic studios where wonderful new and reproduction work is done. The Casa is a historic jewel, beautifully decorated in family antiques. The wonderful hot breakfasts are supervised by the owner, Anna. We highly recommend the Casa Masoli for a special stay in Ravenna.
