Great location, close to Waterford Crystal and the Viking Triangle. Great views of the Harbour from both restaurants. Ample parking behind the hotel. Lovely breakfast, dinner and drinks in the bar, while the rain came down. Staff were very helpful with assisting us to park early so that we could get to Waterford Crystal for our tour at 11.00. They also helped us by searching for an adaptor plug (Australian to British), but they didn't have one. The suggested a few shops nearby and I managed to get one from Tesco.

The dreadful windy and rainy weather - but that wasn't their fault.

Our room was clean and well located. We had a partial view of the marina and were close to the restaurant which was a concern because of possible noise but it was all ok. No noise at all in the corridor. We had dinner on one evening and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. The waiting staff were very attentative. All staff we encountered were lovely especially Roseann (I hope I got her name right) in reception who was exceptional and seemed to be working everytime we passed reception. She was knowledgable and had a very friendly disposition all of the time and is definitely a huge asset to you. We visit the area 6/7 times a year and have always stayed at a nearby hotel will was booked out for this weekend. But we will now be returning here instead for our future trips as it is well located and offers free parking - if you are lucky enough to get a space there!

Nothing to really dislike here. We didnt use the leisure centre but had a quick look for next time. It looks a little tired but was very clean and everything was funcioning which is all you need really.

Great location for exploring the city and we were there for the Waterford Marathon and it was ideal for that event. Large comfortable and clean bedroom and bathroom. The outlook wasn't great but we were definitely paying on the lower price scale. Probably a king size, or at least a queen size bed and it was really comfortable! Good choice of TV channels. Great to have the pool especially for the kids - there were floating devices for our little one to use! We stayed on a Saturday night and there was a brilliant buzz in the bar in the early evening. Menu was a bit limited but we still enjoyed our meal and lots of choices for our toddler. Will certainly return!

Check in said 3pm in email but then the receptionist told me it was 4pm on our arrival. We managed to get into our room just after 3.30 after following up.

The location is fantastic, absolutely spotless hotel , my room was fantastic. It was big and had a large private balcony with a gorgeous view of the river and all of the city , the hand soap /shampoo had such a nice smell, the bed was very comfortable and the pillows you had a choice of a soft one or a firm one , lots of tea and coffee and more milk then usually given, 3 toilet papers given . Despite being in a busy location it felt very quiet , plenty of plug sockets and even usb ports

The floor was very creaky to walk on and there was no plug sockets next to the bed but overall an excellent stay .

So conveniently located to the Theratre, just across the road.. lovely pubs and restaurants also across the road, If your out and about , center of the city is only a 6 to 7 min walk, shorter if u know the back streets.. Staff were all very good 👍, polite , and willing to help with whatever was needed.... Loved the relaxed atmosphere, and the front area of the hotel, very comfortable seating areas, Breakfast was fabulous, full buffet, with all so conveniently located in the restaurant upstairs, such a beautiful area also to look out overhead the river, just a lovely lovely location.. 10 🌟

Everything was perfect

Loved the location, stayed before! Forst time using the restaurant upstairs , staff were slow and not over busy, nice view but a large group table were loud, obnoxious, cursing loudly all night, staff pushed passed our table numerous times disturbing our dinner, didn't stay for dessert , went back downstairs to the love staff who were pleasant, helpfull and a good laugh with the customers, ws very disappointed with restaurant service

Room 313 looked out over a roof, the first thing I noticed when I opened the only working of two in the room was cigarette butt's on the roof below, nd then seen a headless bird and feathers , where other birds were feeding...there was allot of outside noise from fans and vents underneath the window , room ws perfect, clean and classy but found the restaurant upstairs staff very judgemental of people without facts

The location is perfect, close to all amenities and attractions. The rooms were spacious. We loved the service in the pub. The food was great and service impeccable. The name Declan comes to mind!

The front desk staff during check-in and check-out were preoccupied. Checking in they were talking and laughing with each other. I didn't feel that we were even in focus or being welcomed. We stayed in three hotels during our visit to Ireland. The other hotels' front desk made us feel at home and were interested in us and how they could help. Kindness and eye contact would have made for a more enjoyable experience after a long day of travel.

The hotel was in a great location on the river next to viking square where all the museums are. . There was plenty of pubs and restaurants surrounding the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is lovely. The beds were comfortabke. The bathroom was large. Awsome shower.

While the parking was free, it was limited. We had to park in a nearby public parking lot and pay for a few hours in the afternoon. It was free after 6pm but we had to go back down to the lot by 8:30am to eirher add more mone on the meter ore move the car to avoid getting a ticket. Traffic around the hotel was terrible so it was difficult to pull in up front to Check-in and unload baggage before parking.

I was very impressed by the service at the front desk. When I enquired about a balcony room I was told there was none available, but the hotel duty manager, Susy, overheard the conversation and was aware of one balcony room available and got us moved in there. In addition she helped locate a missing bank card. I can only say that Susy went above and beyond to help make her customer’s feel delighted by the service at The Tower Hotel. The staff in the bar were also very accommodating and friendly and the room was impressive. We will definitely be back again.

The car parking for guests is not well managed.

Our room was an accessible one as I am disabled. It was very spacious, brilliantly thought through, very clean, everything worked and modern. The staff were excellent, the front desk particularly so. The hotel had a nice culture about it. Staff weren't nice because we were paying guests, my honest feeling is that that was the way they were. The Manager we met and a most helpful and friendly person he was too. He runs a good ship! The breakfast room and main restaurant was on the first floor and had an entrance for wheel chairs/walkers. The view over the river The breakfast was excellent and all the staff we met were genuinely nice people and reflected the friendliness, helpfulness and hospitality we found subsequently all over the parts of Ireland that we visited (regions south of Dublin). They appeared happy too. My sincere thanks to them!

There was a wedding party one afternoon and evening and the hotel was overly full. Children were excited and running everywhere (in spite of best efforts by staff), car parking for guests almost disappeared and my wife could hear music well past midnight - I could not, but my hearing is poor. We were on the 3rd floor. I understand that large banqueting functions cease in the summer months. Such functions I do understand are necessary for the well being of a hotel such as this but they do or can upset PG's a bit. Everyone seemed happy though and that was good to see. Breakfast food from the buffet was plentiful but not really hot enough for me. I had eggs poached and were delivered to my table beautifully prepared and presented directly from the kitchen.
