Everything went very well. It was perfect for our one day trip to Waterford City and Tramore. The hotel is within quick walking distance of the city centre, bus depot and train station. As it is not right in the city centre or on the main throughfare it is very quiet at night. You can see the Suir river and its water traffic as you are eating breakfast - lovely. The breakfast is self service and for E12.50 was top value. The staff are very helpful and courteous. We will be back.

It’s a very well appointed and modern hotel the position of which was perfect for proximity to the city via several walkways as well as pedestrian footpaths. We had a view over the river which pleased us greatly. The room was far better than we’d expected with superbly comfortable beds and a fabulous bathroom with a walk in shower. For those who like quiet you will not be disappointed but there is also a bar with live entertainment of very high standard as well. It also has its own restaurant that serves both breakfast and dinner at reasonable prices. The breakfast menu is buffet style but the range is vast and only the super picky might find fault and even they would struggle. Overall this hotel and especially its staff gave us a great stay here and would highly recommend it for any duration of stay in Waterford, and we would certainly stay here again in a heartbeat

The location was fantastic. Just a short walk to the Medieval Museum and other attractions, and about 15 minutes to reach other central areas on foot. The gated parking felt very secure, and there were plenty of spaces available. We had a room with a beautiful riverside view. Everything was clean and comfortable, with tea, coffee, and even some biscuits provided, which was a nice touch. The hotel has a modern design. I really liked the colours and open spaces. Breakfast had a great variety, and the staff were especially friendly and attentive in the mornings. We also had dinner in the hotel bar one night, and the prices were quite competitive compared to nearby restaurants. The service was excellent. We had a lovely stay and would happily return if we visit Waterford City again!

I had the absolute best stay at the Marina Hotel - it’s genuinely one of the finest hotels I’ve ever experienced. From the moment I arrived, the staff were nothing short of amazing - friendly, helpful, and always going the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. The room service was delicious, and the food was truly exceptional. Every meal felt like a treat, and it made staying in even more enjoyable. Speaking of the hotel room, I absolutely adored the teal-themed décor - it added such a fresh, calming touch. The room was warm, comfortable, and had a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. The shower was fantastic, and every detail was thoughtfully designed for comfort. One of the highlights was the view of the river - absolutely lovely and so peaceful to wake up to. I felt relaxed and completely at ease throughout my entire stay. This hotel is now my go-to choice for any future visits to Waterford - it’s simply unmatched. The Marina Hotel has set the bar incredibly high. If you’re considering a trip, don’t think twice - this is the place to stay! 🌊✨

Nothing, it was all absolutely perfect, I loved staying here and loved my hotel room.

The staff could not do enough for us, My husband broke his toe on the day we arrived and I use crutches all of the time so our mobility within the hotel was hampered severely but the staff stepped in and waited on us at breakfast even though it's se;f service, they helped to carry things to the room and made us feel as comfortable as humanly possible. I cannot praise them enough. We ate in the bar several times and the food was sensational. The spiced fish cakes were particularly good. The bed was extremely comfortable I joked that if our suitcase had been big enough we would have taken it home! The views of the river are beautiful and the location is ideal for visitors to Waterford city as it is convenient to the city centre whilst also being off the main road so there is little or no noise disturbance. We cannot recommend highly enough.

The suite was much larger than anticipated, a good surpise. It was very comfortable, with fantastic views over the river. The bed was large and extremely comfortable. The environment was quiet and we slept very well. Only a few minutes' nice walk from the town centre. The wifi was fine. Bathrom and suite were very clean. Staff was lovely. Breakfast was ok, apart from the very dry scrambled eggs.

The lighting in the bathroom is very poor. The Chromecast facility to stream Netflix didn't work at all on the first day, depsite the efforts of a member of staff to connect us. On the second day, it worked for 20 minutes then dropped. After a few attempts, it worked for 15 minutes and dropped again. We gave up. If the Netflix app is not available on the smart tv and you've disabled the HDMI cables, then you should offer a more reliable system to connect devices to the tv.

A lovely hotel, within a short walk of all tourist facilities. The seated area outside by the river looks lovely, but unfortunately it was raining during our stay so we couldn’t sit out! Our room was spacious, and the bed very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice, with a wide selection of good foods, and the breakfast room was bright, busy and welcoming. Overall, the Marina Hotel was a great place to spend a few days, and a good base to explore Waterford and the surround area.

Even though we had no frame of reference of expectation in Waterford, both the town and this excellent property far exceeded expectations. The corner suite was massive in size and afforded a spectacular view of the Suir River and surrounds - a truly majestic setting. Further, the location is just outside the city centre of a very walkable and charming, historic city. The breakfast was most excellent; service was keen, and the bar keep at the pub on site was a delight. There was nothing but praise among our group for this top shelf location. We would stay here again.

That we didn't book to stay longer!

We booked a river view room it was a lovely sunny day so the view was absolutely gorgeous. We were celebrating our anniversary and the hotel has gifted us some chocolates. The man checking us in at reception was absolutely lovely I can't remember his name but I believe it started with C? Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely keep this hotel in mind next time we are staying in Waterford.

We got a meal and drinks in the hotel restaurant, the food was beautiful no complaints but the portion of chips that came with it wasn't the largest, other than that everything was perfect.

We arrived late in the evening as our ferry had been delayed. Check in was quick, and the location of the hotel was excellent - in a quiet area but within walking distance of all the local attractions. Our evening meal was very substantial!

The room was very hot in the evening and overnight. We looked for a heating or air conditioning controller but there wasn't one. Eventually we found the central heating radiator (behind a chair), which was full on. The room was otherwise fine with good shower and comfortable bed, and the river view was delightful.
