Do not think it’s appropriate to be housing refugees at the same time as paying guests.

Rooms were very comfortable and clean. The manager in particular was so nice and accommodating. He helped us with our bags, and when he heard we had booked a room for our friend who was getting married the next day, he upgraded our room.

Car park is a bit of a walk away- okay if you have a couple small bags, but not great if you have a lot with you. We were lucky to have met the manager out the back and he helped us bring some bags in before going to the designated car park. If you're staying in block B, it's a bit of a maze to get around.

Staff are very welcoming, helpful and efficent. Location of hotel, room is a decent size and cleanliness was very good.

My 7 year old daughter was refused access to pool without me (the morning of her birthday to make it worse) Other hotels allow children while parent & lifeguard supervise. My daughter started her birthday off on a low because of this. It was her fourth stay at the hotel. She choose the hotel because of the pool and kids zone area. I don't feel that the pool table next to kids play zone area is a good idea. Could have intoxicated adults from bar in playing pool & walking pass kids play area to gain access to the toilet where younger kids are playing. Parents have to leave kids in playzone to get juice/drinks at the bar. I didnt feel it very safe from a parents point of view or as a childcare practitioner.

Comfortable bed, clean room, bathroom was lovely! Didn't eat breakfast so can't comment on that. The bar was lively but we didn't sit in as there were no tables available. Great free parking for the entire stay, the only downside was that it shut at 11pm and our flight was delayed so we had to pay for parking on our first night but again not the hotels fault!

Some of the wellbeing facilities were undergoing maintenence but we knew that prior to arrival and wasn't the reason for our visit do no issue at all really!

Good value for money hotel. I have stated here a few times and each time is a repeat of the last time I stayed here. Very good bar with live music. The Irish barman during the day was excellent in dealing with customers and is acredit to the hotel. Bar food was nice and service was quick and prompt. A bit further away from town than other hotels but with the value of the room the distance to town was a small inconvenience which didn't bother me. The receptionist was excellent and had plenty of information to hand excellent service all round from all the staff

Bathroom door didn't lock correctly not deal breaker

I liked the old style class of the place, must have been pretty classy in its day, lots of polished wood everywhere. Drink and meal prices were reasonable. And breakfast was great value for 10eu.

Hate to bring it up but there was no toilet brush.

For single traveller, room 215 was lovely, good insulation from traffic noise. king size bed and everything worked - newly appointed bathroom immaculate. . big shower,, but no bathtub. Reception staff very helpful and friendly with booking a taxi and tickets for Mount Congreve gdns.

breakfast bacon (tough)and sausages fairly tasteless. However, ham and cheese omlette made for me next morning was perfect. porridge was appreciated and fruit salad was good. Price I paid was almost the same as for a couple staying together!! (A couple i met even had evening meal included!!) Price for a single OAP should not be so high.

Very good hotel, centrally located, easy check in with friendly staff. Room was lovely, very clean and newly renovated, even had ironing equipment which was handy. Wifi worked fine, parking is 5min walk from the hotel, but free in Aldi Shopping centre. Thanks to the location it was easy to walk around the town centre.

The only minus was that room was too hot as the heating didnt react to sensor on the wall when set to lower temp. I had to sleep with opened window which wasn't the most comfy experience due to noise from the busy street below.Except that litlle issue I would highly recommend this hotel.
