Beautiful location friendly staff food was excellent xmas decorations fab...

Nothing to dislike only wish I had spent more time there .

Is there anything not to like? You drive a half mile into the driveway, and you are greeted by a beautiful manor. This place is over the top gorgeous! The staff are charming! They even have bicycles, wellies and raincoats if you are of a mind to go around the property. There’s a beautiful golf course if you golf. The rooms have a Dyson hair dryer! I mean, have you ever? We only breakfasted there, but that was very nice, and again, the staff are wonderful! This place is perfection!

The fall cinnamon smells were a little much in some areas. We had a car; I think you would need one if you wanted to go explore Waterford.

We stayed in the main house and the room was absolutely gorgeous with fantastic space and amenities and a beautiful view. The bed was a four poster and extremely comfortable. There was ample wardrobe space and a lovely big dressing table with mirror. The bathroom was huge and was marble with a beautiful chandelier, the toiletries were Elemis and beautiful to use. The Dyson hairdryer was a plus....made me want one now! We attended a two day wedding and were really impressed by how the staff catered for everyone ensuring the couple and guests were so well looked after and every little detail perfect. The staff are fabulous, warm and welcoming and always had a smile and a cheery wave every time we passed them. Breakfast was lovely each day with sit down service so you felt spoilt...book your breakfast time as it was very busy, we had booked in advance and were shown directly to our table for our very nice and leisurely breakfast. There is a lovely spa area and lovely grounds to walk around.

There was no relaxation room in the spa.

Staff at all points were excellent; check-in, dinner, bartenders, cleaners. Very nice setting, the grounds and hotel itself is lovely and a bit special. Breakfast was top class - great selection of menu items, tasty, and fast service. Very little to dislike. Nespresso coffee machine, Dyson hair dryer in room, and Elemis toiletries are all extra little luxuries. Lots of local jams and treats to buy too.

Being really picky to find a negative, the cocktail bar only had 1 staff member working, so as all the drinks are signature they take time to make, so service here was a little slow, but drinks were fab though.

When we arrived at reception ,we were met by Catherine who checked us in ,Catherine was very welcoming ,and arranged to have our bags delivered to our room , We went to the leasure centre ,and jacuzzi ,it was so calm and relaxing ,spotlessly clean and plenty of fresh white towels to be.had. Our room was beautifully decorated ,it had a coffee machine and a choice of teas ,chocolates also ,it was very clean also. We had supper in the restaurant ,we had the vegan menu ,plenty of choice and was delicious as the breakfast was the following morning , We have been to faithleg many times ,and looking forward to our next visit ,many thanks to all the wonderful staff ,mary & Noel .

The noise level from room upstairs was very bad. But as we are staying in the old house its obviously because of the building even though the room is very modern and beautiful. No vending machine to get snacks outside of room service hours. Reception for wedding is out the back which is beautiful but to get to the toilets you had to go back upstairs to the bathrooms near reception. They could do with toilets downstairs. Smoking area for wedding required you to walk to front of hotel.

Walk in shower, great staff, lovely breakfast, dinner and golf course. Our second room and bathroom were perfect.

When we arrived there was a raucous wedding for 140 people. They overwhelmed the public areas and totally spoilt the ambience of the hotel. On arrival, it felt like a two star holiday camp. The noise from music went on until 1.30 am and disturbed our sleep completely. The bathroom in our first room was from the 1970s, cramped shower, cheap shower screen, difficult access over the bath, very awkward safe. The bed was very firm to hard. When we arranged a different room, away from the wedding noise, it was quiet with a better bathroom and safe.

My trips to Faithleg Hotel have become somewhat of a ritual this year after I came to know about this beautiful gem. My most recent stay was amazing. The staff bring a homely feel to the hotel with the flow of conversation so effortless with guests. They are genuinely friendly staff, with a sense of humour that adds to the character of the place. The food is an experience in itself, cooked to perfection with staff at hand to talk you through the different course giving great stories about all the delicacies.

Everything was perfect.

The Faithlegg Hotel building itself is magnificent, combined with the setting of the driveway and the golf course, it is a magical and imposing location. We were thrilled with the breakfast - which was absolutely superb!! To start with we were escorted to a quiet table by the window, overlooking the gorgeous gardens. Next we were given an assortment of yoghurts, pastries, breads, and mini muffins on a beautiful 3 tiered tray. It was very attractive and special. This was followed by a selection from the a la carte breakfast menu. This absolutely topped off our stay! After breakfast we walked up the long drive to the 13th century medieval ruins next to the church. A wonderful stay and I highly recommend this property.

Being Australians, we are used to having a fridge in the room - but no fridge. This is only a minor thing, as we have since discovered that most hotels in Ireland don't provide a fridge. We like to buy some soft drinks locally - but instead we placed the drinks near the window and it was almost as good. I hadn't booked dinner before arrival, and discovered that there was only a table available for 8.40 pm. So, if you are planning to stay in to dine, it is a good idea to book early. (I did receive many opportunities to book beforehand via messages from the property - but I thought I would wait until we arrived). The hotel is not really close to anything - but there was a petrol station where we bought a few sandwiches as we couldn't wait for such a late booking time.

Lovely hotel, set in a golf course, near Waterford. We stayed one night, having taken the ferry from Fishguard to Rosslare, on our way to the Cork Jazz Festival and doing some of the Wild Atlantic Way. We had a nice cocktail and dinner in the hotel - the food and service was excellent. The following morning we had a very pleasant breakfast, again with great service. The room was very comfortable and clean, with a nice bathroom.

The service at the bar in the evening was a bit slow - they seemed to be short staffed, with a lot of people attending a halloween party. We were not able to order a cocktail at our table but had to order at the bar and carry the drinks through to another room, where we could find a table.
