Hotel Hafen Hamburg

The staff was SO helpful getting me onto the UBahn - changed my trip! - and taking time to chat and answer my many questions about life in Hamburg.

Just one thing. Big, important party, just one night, thankfully, going on over my room for a convention. All they needed to do is get the DJ to turn down the bass and the problem, as I said, would be solved. Oh well, the rest of the time was very quiet.

Great location - close to trains, buses and harbour taxis. Lovely restaurant terrace overlooking the Elba. Plenty of parking for anyone who is driving.

No air conditioning in the bedroom! We stayed over a very hot couple of days and were in a ground floor bedroom making it unsafe to leave windows wide open during the night. Air conditioning would have been very welcome! Also the quickest way to the hotel was up a lot of steps…but of a trek with a suitcase! But that isn’t the hotel’s fault!! The main entrance is on a road with vehicle access

The hotel was prefectly located for sightseeing and for going to shows. The staff were polite and the room we booked was compact but all there. We didn't try any of the meals in the hotel as we were there to visit Hamburg so we ate out all of the time. We luckily had perfect weather which was an added bonus.

I understand that this can be a really busy time, but a little more information from the reception staff on check-in would be more helpful. I had to ask a variety of questions, as the information was not freely provided. The service on check out was great and the person who dealt with me really friendly.

Location is excellent. Facility itself is outright stunning. The staff is incredibly helpfull and friendly, long may it continue. Nothing is a problem, everything is always with a smile and the extra mile to make it better for you. I was very impressed.

No AC in room but there was a fan and big wndow so manage perfectly fine and slept incredibly well.... call it an observation

We had a room right in the tower with a harbour view which was amazing. The breakfast was fantastic with further views over the Landungsbrücken and everything one could ask for. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating which made check-in a real pleasure.

The room could have been slightly larger but was perfect for a couple for a night and the view of the sunrise more than made up for it.

Despite the size of the room our stay was really comfortable. We celebrated the New Year at the restaurant and the food is really-really good. Good location and despite the close distance to Reeperbahn the area is nice and quiet.

The payment process is a bit weird. We had to pay for our room via the link sent to your email from the hotel (not booking) and we didn't receive any confirmation about the payment process. Nevertheless, we didn’t have any trouble after. Also no possibility to pay at the check-in

Location was fantastic Breakfast was well above expectaion Staying in the newly renovated rooms was a treat Bar seemed like it was not only visited by guests of the hotel.

Not really anything I did not like, all was either to expectation or above. One can always wish for bigget this or better that, but it would not be realistic.

Really close to where I was working and a very comfortable nights stay. The room was spacious and clean.

The layout of the hotel is a little unusual, the main building is beautiful but some of the rooms are off in random separate buildings. Not necessarily a negative but worth considering if you can’t walk far.

Breakfast was great and the decor is charming. Check-in staff had a good sense of humor and made the admin work at least funny, if not actually fun.

Need more window seating in the Tower Bar! Very tight squeeze parking spots in your underground parking lot! Maybe a little more space to maneuver would be better than the extra parking spot you get out of it.

Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Location of hotel is perfect, walking distance to a lot of sighting places. View from restaurant and bar are amazing. Staff is really kind and friendly.

Breakfast is not included in room and is a little expensive.
