east Hotel Hamburg

Firstly, THE BATH. east Hotel's "Splash" rooms have the most amazing bathtub EVER. The room is worth every cent based on the bathtub alone - so if you are of an aquatic bent, this is definitely the option for you. All other facilities, including a lovely large bed, are on point as well. Breakfast-wise, the hotel's offerings were a little on the pricey side for my personal tastes - but that is "each to their own." There are many wonderful cafes and bakeries nearby that you can visit if you are of a similar mindset. The location was perfect for me. A five minute walk from the Reeperbahn, and more importantly, as an avid St. Pauli fan, a five minute walk from the Millerntor. A question here on Booking.com asks me if the area around the property is safe? Yes. It's safe. Like any city, simply don't get yourself mixed up in anything you should not and you will be fine.

Honestly, I can find no fault in east Hotel whatsoever.

This was our second stay at eastHotel. That we returned to this hotel should say all that needs to be said. It truly is a remarkable location which I can not recommend enough. The rooms are laid out and furnished to perfection. The location is ideal, within easy walking distance of anything you might want to see in St. Pauli, and within reasonable walking distance of districts such as Altstadt, St. George, Hafencity etc. The subway link is but a stone's throw away if you desire to go further afield.

It was a great venue and the placement was impeccable. The overall design of the hotel was great and luxerious. There had been put a lot of planning into the design, that was primarily organic in nature.

However, I have some minor complaints. The bathtubs faucet I had in my room was kinda broken and calcified. So it spewed hot water everywhere. Also they had a lot of great items at the breakfast table, but the fruit was stale and bruised. Especially the watermelon. Like it had been frozen a little in the fridge. Also breakfast wasn't included in the price of the room, which was kinda meh considering the price of 225 € a night.

This is an expensive hotel, but meets expectations especially with the attractive rooms and the stunning bar and restaurant area. We especially liked the bartender who was incredibly friendly and explained some of his signature drinks to us.

There are sometimes lines in a crowded area for check in and check out.

Booked and payed the Aqua Room but got first the smaller Splash Room. It got luckily changed after we recognised it.

Excellent experience. The rooms were clean, the check-in service was friendly and efficient, and the room was extremely comfortable and clean.

The only slight issue was the coverage of the Wi-Fi as the connection seemed quite weak in the restaurant. But otherwise it was a superb stay, and I will definitely be back.

Our room, East signature-was large and the decor edgy and hip. Loved the whirlpool! Loved the lotions and potions. The restaurant is beautiful and artsy. At 11 pm all guest were ushered to outside lounge area (Corona protocol). The staff were accommodating and impressive handling a massive shift of guests! This our second stay at the East. We‘ll be back! Just greatest and fun location!!!

It’s a bit on the dark side but I guess it goes with the location ;) Also 34 euros for breakfast is a bit too steep.

The breakfast was very good

The evening in the Resturant was not like it used to be. It was like at MC Donald but much more expensive It was not about the food, it was ok. But the time between the starter and the main course. The argument was that the kitchen was closing at 22;00 . He got to order from our table not beforer 21;00 We had no idee from the closing time from the resturant at 22;00 Not a nice evening!!!

The design, the bed, clean, easy access and check-in. Fast wifi, helpful staff. After I checked out I could leave my luggage at the reception for a few hours! Breakfast was amazing!! This is my top 3 best hotel stays in the world!!! Loved it!!

Nothing!!

Very stylish. Nice setting. The room is different. The room is big. Location is quite good.

No coffee in bedroom. Breakfast way too expensive (tip: delicious breakfast around the corner, at MAY). Only one big towel for two. Disco plays music at night
