Motel One Hamburg am Michel

The location is easy and quick to reach by bus (16/17) from the main train station (Hamburg Hauptbahnhof) and you can walk to all major sights from the hotel: the historic city center (shopping!), the harbour (landungsbrücken, cruises, sightseeing), St. Pauli/Reeperbahn (famous for night life), S-Trains to Volksparkstadion (S3)(football/soccer, concerts...) and the airport (S1) The staff was super friendly and helpful with everything from checking in early to storing and retrieving our luggage after check-out. The room inkl. bathroom and general areas of the hotel were all very clean and well taken care off.

The room was rather small and at busy times (e.g.: breakfast times) catching an elevator might take a little due to high demand.

very clean; excellent continental style breakfast with a wide selection. The room was well sound insulated with no traffic noise or noise from neighbouring rooms. The water pressure in the shower was adequate, hot water came immediately. The late check-out of 12:00h was useful. Adequate parking under the hotel, with access via the lift. A good WiFi throughout the hotel with adequate speed even when using a vpn.

Loads of pillows but all equally rock hard, a variety of hard/softness would have been nice. The entrance to the carpark was a little difficult to find. Reserving the breakfast time wasn't too difficult using the QR Code but it would have been nice if reception could have done it at check-in, I can well imagine that there are still enough people who might have problems with scanning QR codes.

Very clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Great to be able to have a sandwich, coffee, wine etc in the large, relaxed lobby.

Nothing really, perhaps a plug socket by the small table and another table lamp to make the room more cozy.

the breakfast closes at 10am. This is much too early. I exceptionally woke up at 9:45, so I really had to rush. However, I arrived at breakfast with some other people, who were under pressure as well because of the early closure of breakfast. This isn't a good start in the day.

Great bed! Lovely staff. Location was really good for me, easy to get everywhere from here, even walking. Also a little supermarket and some good coffee just around the corner. Perfect stay for me.

I would like a mini fridge in the room

Comfortable, clean and in a good location especially for transport links.

The car park was tucked away down a back street and was a bit of a warren to navigate. I would have liked a kettle to make a morning coffee. This is standard in the UK so it was missed!

The personal is knowledgeable and friendly. the interior is stunning and I loved the uniforms of the staff.

To bad there was no water boiler (or coffee machine for that matter) in my room, but the bar was open 24 hrs.

Great hotel for an overnight trip to Hamburg. High quality hotel with efficient staff.

Staff would not recommend external bars or restaurants.

Close to an event venue, where I had to go. So location was good for me. Hamburg's night life is just around the corner if you want

Needs a clean up. Other Motel One hotels are in better condition

Perfect location in Hamburg. Rooms had, what we needed.

Breakfast, sitting area and the bar are at the same area - felt like being on a railway station when sitting there.
