Citadines Michel Hamburg

Location is very good close to the train station city . The hotel is close to hotel is close to the road but NO noise thanks to their double or triple grazed windows 😀 Their breakfast is nice .and staff are very helpful.

Pillows stunk of sweat I was in ro 209 ( incase its the only room ) I had to buy 2pillows for my self as I couldn't afford another night with the hotel pillows..plse change pillows or throw away old ones every often

The hotel is very elegant, has a lovely spacious lobby, the room is large, the bed is great, the bathroom is excellent. Free tea and coffee available in the lobby at all times. The location is very good - right next to Hauptkirche Michaelis, 10 minutes from the harbor and 15 minutes from the Elbphilharmonie - the most amazing and beautiful concert hall in the world, visited by a huge number of tourists. You can't talk about the staff in general, it depends on the person. When I came home late one night and one of the wardrobe doors had come off the rail and I didn't have the physical strength to lift it, the front desk told me they would call a technician the next day, and in the morning the young man at the front desk arranged for the door to be installed in two minutes on the rail and I am very grateful to him.

I stayed for six nights. In such a pretentious and stylish hotel, the trash cans were not cleaned for three days, indeed there were two days off, but the next three working days were not cleaned, so in six days they were emptied only once. The room is for one person and has kitchenette, and a huge dishwasher, although there is no dining area - so it was completely unnecessary for one person. However, the hairdryer in the bathroom did not work and the electric kettle did not turn itself off.

We had a wonderful stay, really close to the city center (about 6 minutes walk to the city hall). The studio was spacious, the kitchen equipped with everything one needs to cook some quick meals in the morning or the evening. The bathroom was clean (with the tiny exception of a dirty spot on the bath curtain). Lovely bed that was not too soft nor too hard and enough room in the closet to hang our clothes. We even had an ironing board which came in handy. We enjoyed ourselves over a cup of tea and coffee in the lounge right next to the entry every evening of our stay. All in all, we loved it there and are looking forward to going there back again.

Very spacious rooms offering a kitchenette and seating area (not blocking your way). The bed was super comfy and large. Also the bathroom is spacious and clean, as well as Wi-Fi connection is super easy to use. The hotel seemed to me like a backpacker/family hotel, although rates were quite high at the time of my stay. The hotel offers a decent breakfast, but you need to get there early to get seated. The staff is super friendly and the counter always offers you a big smile. The location is not a tourist spot at all, but there the harbour is not far off, as well as the subway in close walking distance.

The direct surroundings don’t really look like the ideal Hamburg visit scenery, but a few blocks around you will find more interesting and picturesque views.

Room has so many ammenties that were ideal for a family with a baby. We had a cot that was laid out with baby towels and baby shower gels etc. Really nice, considerate touch. Balcony on the Jnr Suite was great when she needed some air or to view the churches.This hotel will be number 1 on my return to list if we come back to hamburg. Brilliant. Short walk from Landungbruken on the S3 or the stop after it is closer but we liked the walk along the pier.

Continental Breakfast with sausage and egg as a hot option. Expected a full buffet of hot food for 16e per person. Room had items belonging to previous guest below the couch.

We had an apartment on the top floor. There were three of us, and the two fully equipped bathrooms and sofa bed were exactly what we needed. We used the washing machine and dryer too. The location was great, only 3 mins from the S-Bahn or bus stop. We didn't have breakfast, but it looked good, and we were impressed with the 24 hour free tea/coffee for hotel guests.

We had to ask for assistance to use the washing machine. The QR code on the instruction leaflet in the room opened a broken web link. However, the maintenance staff came quickly and were friendly and helpful and explained the issue.

The apartment is very spacious, easily accommodating 4 adults + kids. The location is very central, 10 min walk to the Rathaus or the docks. The beds are very big and comfy, even the pull out sofa is huge. The kitchen has everything needed, thought we prepared just the breakfast there. There is complimentary coffee in the lobby. The breakfast is good enough, though a bit expensive, 14 euro, but it has everything you need in the morning. Being so close to the city center, there is no free parking, but the hotel has a private parking, and if that's full, the public underground parking is just around the corner, same price.

Not much, everything was great. The only nitpick is that the bells from the church rings every 15 minutes, also during the night :D. But the sound isolation is good, and it will not wake you up

I came to Hamburg for a business trip and chose Citadines Michel hotel for my stay. I would like to thank the staff which was extremely helpful and friendly, replied immediately on all my requests. The rooms are very clean and tidy, kitchen has all the facilities (thought I didn’t use any). Citadines also offers complimentary tea/coffee facilities at the lobby restaurant. They also provide branded umbrellas for their hosts which is also very useful during a rainy season in Hamburg. The hotel is centrally located, metro is 2 mins away, Rathaus square is just in 7-10 mins of walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay and warm welcome.

Everything was perfect.

Great location, close to the city centre, sights, the waterfront, and to the Portuguese quarter with a lot of nice Portuguese restaurants and cafes. The beds are comfy, the room is clean and spacious. The room also has a very well equipped kitchenette. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We have not tried the breakfast, but the free coffee in the lobby is not bad.

The room did not have a hair drier. Do not go down the underground pedestrian passage right in front of the hotel, it is quite stinky. Use the street level pedestrian crossings instead.

Everything was great about the Citadines! A stay without a hitch! The common area around the lobby where you can hang out, work, get a coffee or snacks/drinks from the vending machine is a nice touch. The rooms had everything we needed! The AC was working! The fridge was big, the dishwasher perfect. It's like an airbnb with the great bonus of having a 24h reception for anything additional you may need.

1. The pull out couch has two tiny beds (not touching each other) that were comfortable but way too narrow for a good night's sleep (maybe 90cm). 2. Not having any room cleaning - it's the policy, like an airbnb, so that's ok - is not ideal for me.
