UNBEATABLE CENTRAL LOCATION...My 5th stay here acknowledges my satisfaction with this venue. Post Covid it has “slipped” a notch (But not much). Comfortable bed, excellent breakfast room and service Staff is welcoming and efficient. An elevator for the stair-challenged. Location is off-the main arteries, easy walk to Bellecour and the Metro system, quiet at night. 10-minute walk across the bridge to Old Lyon. Restaurants abound in close proximity. Room size for the bigger levels is excellent. Finally given prices in similar locations this property deserves a "10" for its value.

Did not get a bathtub this time, not a deal breaker, minibar was empty although my Booking reservation cited it as available. Missing extra toiletries and body lotion in the bathroom. Not an issue for me, but no English channels available on the television. Finally, a safety issue, no shower mat to prevent slippage, and no hand bars.

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel so clearly we liked it. The location could not be more perfect. Restaurants, tourist information office was all within walking as was the main plaza Bellcore from which one could take buses or mettro to the train station or elsewhere. Also taxi stnds etc. The quaint old town was within walking distnce. Half a street away from the hotel is the Rhone river where there is an outdoor food market several times a week and restaurant where one could have a drink along the riverside. The staff are all professional as well as friendly with a welcoming attitude of helping clients with any questions about Lyon. Our room was very clean and roomy.

Two of the days we were in the hotel, they were renovating some of the rooms but they were able to muffle the noise and cover all the stairwells and floors so there wasn't any construction dust. Really, if they didn't tell us at the front desk that this was happening, we would not have known as the noise was minimum.

Great location in a quiet neighbourhood, near restaurants and sights. The room was really comfortable and gave me the best night's sleep I've had in a hotel. Check-in was welcoming, and the staff was very helpful.

The hotel is pet-friendly, which is a positive feature. However, there are instances where some pet owners aren't considerate, as I experienced being woken up early by barking. However, the receptionist was really understanding and immediately took action. I therefore can't fault the hotel in this case.

Room had fridge and tea making facility. Film channel in english on tv for free. Well thought out room with lots of storage. Great selection of food for breakfast and staff serving were very helpful. Staff on reception were delightful and very helpful with our queries about good restaurants and sight seeing

Room didn't have view of square unless you leaned out of window.

Location is perfect just minutes from the river and the spectacular sights of the old city. You will need to catch a taxi from the train station and you will be conveniently dropped right at the hotel door. There is a hotel lift and although room is small the gorgeous opening window view to the beautiful adjacent theatre building is just what you want to see on your visit to breathtaking Lyon!

It would have been lovely to have a bigger room but that is just not an option in most old city areas. The fantastic location more than compensates for any room size discomfort. You can get bigger rooms in hotels closer to train station but the beauty of Lyon is in the old city area. Staying in this hotel you will be within minutes of walking to all the great sights, restaurants and bars.

Excellent location in the old town with very convenient parking in the underground garage across the street (33 Euros/night). Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed and pillows. Typical breakfast buffet items, cooked egg options very limited.

Very small room, but acceptable for a couple of night stay. Very dangerous deep tub/shower to get in and out of. Not for elderly or people with physical limitations. I'm an avid hiker in good physical condition and feel uncomfortable getting in and out of the tub, an extreme liability.

A very welcoming hotel in an excellent location, a sumptuous breakfast buffet, a nice room just opposite a beautiful theater. We also appreciated the fact that efforts were made to be environmentally friendly.

Good location, peaceful, friendly staff, proper breakfast

Cleaning was lazy - sheets were dirty already when getting the room, not changed after 1st night, asked to change, turned the other way round (could be seen from the location of dirty), asked to change next day, nothing happened, then suddenly changed after 3rd night and we had totally 4 nights stay, felt like changed once a week for weekends despite on customers visit - toilet paper needed to ask more every day, once needed to ask for clean towels and once soap was missing

Staff was all nice and very helpful. Bed were comfortable. Neighborhood was great. Clean.

Internet was a disaster. Never worked well. Couldn’t open websites like restaurants and train info. Nothing difficult. could never hold a zoom call.

Fantastic central location. Delightfully helpful (eg ordering taxis for us), welcoming and friendly staff who took into account the preferences of each couple. (We were 3 couples visiting together, who spoke varying amounts of French, and the staff communicated well with all of us.) Comfortable (quite firm) bed; lift to all floors. Although we didn't eat breakfast in the hotel (there were plenty of cafes in walking distance), the pictures of the breakfast the hotel offered looked attractive, and milk was provided on request for the little fridges in each room so we could all have a morning cup of tea before getting up. (There was a kettle in each room.)

Some of us felt the rooms would have been quite small for a lengthy stay - but this certainly was not a problem for 3 nights. There was a slight noise briefly each early morning (possibly bin emptying in the street?) but this was probably not something the hotel could have controlled. The mugs for tea/coffee in our rooms were rather too small.
