the rooms were quite roomy for Europe and spotlessly clean. the rooftop lounge was lovely but they could consider adding a few of the outer heaters for winter.

This is a personal preference only but I didn’t like the location on the Gran Via. The location is convenient but I don’t really enjoy crowds and there is always a crowd milking about. Would like coffee maker in room. Breakfast was meh.

Our favorite hotel in Madrid, a place where we are returning with great joy. We have been coming to Madrid for almost 20 years regularly several times a year, we have stayed in many beautiful hotels, 4 and 5 stars and this hotel wins all comparisons. One of the most beautiful buildings on the famous Gran Via, the most beautiful street in Madrid, stylish rooms and extremely friendly staff. We love this place, rooms overlooking Gran Via, when we open the window and feel the vibes of this special place. The building looks wonderful during the day and magically lit at night. Plus value for money absolutely outstanding.

Nothing, this is a perfect place.

Hotel Atlantico was Very Very Clean through out. It was right in the town centre. Walking distance to most attractions. Staff were very nice. We had breakfast one morning which was offered by the hotel due to drilling and banging noise from the shop next door. Breakfast is 12 Euros but it was not worth it as. As it is such a nice hotel the only thing lacking was Tea/Coffee making facilities and also NO water bottles in the room. Would have been nice to offer two bottles a night due to the heat

No Tea and Coffee making facilities in the Room Also there was NO WATER BOTTLES OFFERED IN THE ROOM.

Location was exceptional. I would recommend this for any tourist or even business traveller. The Bus stop was right outside. The shops were all outside. Cabs were passing by all the time. The breakfast was awesome at 12Euro. We were pleasantly surprised to see the spread.. Good enough for vegetarians and non-veggies. Room was newly done up (I felt). Very new and sparkling. Lovely blue. The window opened to a shaft type of area. Not dirty ,had bougenvillae flowers but very bland. Bathroom had 2 sinks and had a tub and was very clean. I do feel It was over priced but that could be because of the location. The hotel had a tiny lobby and the staff was pleasant .Not overly caring. But pleasant.

No free water. Guess no hotel in Europe gives free water

I had a fantastic stay here for 3 nights. Easy check in and even arriving a couple hours early, my room was ready for me. At first arriving to my room, I was a little taken aback because the room didn’t match most of the photos. It was quite dated. But overtime I started to really enjoy it because it had a lot of character and charm and was very clean. The rooms are equipped with a lot of little luxuries. A robe, slippers, well stocked fridge and snacks, and toiletries. The water was hot and AC got cold. Loved the addition of the extra heavy blankets provided as well in the wardrobe. And then small gestures like making your bed and leaving chocolates on your bed every evening was such a nice touch. The location is great being so central in Madrid. You can walk to any of the sights you are interested in quite easily. Go to the terrace whether to get a drink or to just take in the views! Staff was very kind and helpful. Upon leaving they flagged down a cab for me on the street to take me to the airport so I had nothing to worry about with transportation! I would happily stay here again the next time I’m in Madrid!

Because of the street it is on though, there’s a bit of noise from street and door traffic but was manageable.

The setting was perfect for Central Madrid and the hotel was classically beautiful. The optional breakfast was worth the €12. A great selection of breakfast from cooked eggs and sausages, to cereals, breads, fruis, and meats and cheeses... All staff were very friendly. Rooms a good size and loved the night time chocolates...am definitely going to return! Oh! And the selection of toiletries in the bathroom was great! And loved the Hotel slippers and dressing gown. I felt very spoiled!

The rooms were exceptionally hot. And despite me turning the heating off, the next morning the maid would turn it on again. Seems a waste of money. Especially as there seemed to be under floor heating too!!! Everything was lovely though!!

Location: A four stars hotel at a central location of Madrid. A big sign of the hotel name on a main street (Gran Via) - it is hard to miss. 5 minute walk to Iglesia de San Antonio de los Alemanes, 10 minute walk to Plaza Mayor and 15 minute walk to the Royal Palace of Madrid. Very close to multiple metro stations (Gran Via, Callao, Sol) from which further attractions such as museums can be easily accessed. There are many shops, fast foods, restaurants, and a Carrefour around the hotel. Room: Mine was a single room with twin bed, not big but reasonable. I liked that both windows in the room and in the bathroom would be opened (facing a patio). I particularly liked that a screen outside the room window can be adjusted with a button, which was very useful to block lights for sleep. I noticed and liked their decorative styles as well: the blue colors on the bedding, the wall, and the bathroom ceramics and the white furnitures with classic styles. It is very considerate and convenient to have a string that can be pulled out for light line drying. Amenities: Plenty: soap, showercap, shaving kit, dental kit, sewing kit, comb, and tissues besides shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. They also provided slippers and even a shower mat. Beyond the Room: The hotel was conceived and built in 1921 by the architect Joaquin Saldana Lopez. The top floor restaurant / bar had very classic decorations and a terrace looking to Gran Via. It even has a tower with a French dome where you can climb up to have a 360 degree view of the city center. Staff: The cleaning staff put signed cards and chocolates in the room everyday. The frontdesk staff were helpful.

I didn't mind it but I can imagine that some guests might want to have an electric kettle and tea/coffee in the room. I guess part of the reason was that coffee was provided in the lobby or in the 9th floor bar. There was a minibar and there was limited space to use it as a refrigerator to store my own food or drinks. But I managed to put some fruits and yogurts there.

This hotel is brilliantly located on the Grand Via- close to lots of high end brand shops, it also, if you turn down any side street, near plenty of bars, cafes & restaurants. It’s within a mile and a half of all three of Madrid’s stunning art museums and a similar distance from the Royal Palace and the main Plazas of the city, so perfectly placed to explore the city. It’s right next to a Metro station too if you’d prefer not to walk. The room was beautifully appointed and complete with a marbled bathroom with walk-in “rain” shower, and the shutters and double glazing kept the city noise out when I wanted to sleep (in a city that seems to be up all night). There was a well stocked minibar & a safe, and the dressing gown & slippers were a nice touch. Breakfast is extra but €12 seemed very reasonable for a very extensive range of cereals, breads, pastries, fruit, yoghurts, as well as cooked options and coffee & tea. There’s also a rooftop terrace bar where you can enjoy a beer while looking out on the city. And all this for a price I’ve paid to stay at a Premier Inn in Birmingham.

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like!

The hotel was very elegant. Several little touches, like the name on the bath towels and little chocolates at night. The front desk and housekeeping were very attentive. The location is PERFECT. Our room was on the quiet side street, but out front is all of the action of Madrid. My husband said if we returned to Madrid, he would stay there again (he rarely comments on these types of things unasked). We loved the lounge and terrace upstairs (included a photo). Breakfast was nice. Every snack in the mini-bar (which is more like a good size fridge was perfect. It was as if you knew my shopping list of my favorite treats and beverages.

I felt like either a glass of wine, or breakfast could have been complimentary.

The hotel is located in the beautiful neighborhood of Malasaña in Madrid. The rooms are spacious, clean, well-lit, and recently renovated, providing a truly indulgent experience. The large windows and great balconies offer splendid views of Madrid, immersing you in the city's vibrant atmosphere. The staff is highly professional and friendly, ensuring a pleasant stay. The breakfast provided is delicious and satisfying, and the breakfast room has an urban and enjoyable ambiance. I highly recommend this hotel, as it is perfectly situated with everything you need either on-site or nearby.

Nothing!! exceptional.
