Hostal Inn Madrid

Amazing location. Homey and romantic decorations. The window shades and bathroom door work well to block out light. The AC works well. They will store luggage for several hours before you check in and after you check out. For the price, it exceeded my expectations. If I return to Madrid, this hotel will be at the top of my list.

The front door is easy to miss because the sign is small. It's the black & glass door to the left of the souvenir shop. Press 4 on the door buzzer to speak with the receptionist.

We received helpful information prior to our arrival and we were greeted warmly. The room was small and clean with a kettle, a fridge and even a small table and chairs. The location was very central, just off Gran Vía, which was super convenient if a tad noisy at times.We also benefited from the ability to store our luggage for a few hours without an additional fee. This place is great value for money and we would be happy to return.

The floor was a little tired but very clean. The space in the bathroom was tight but everything functioned well.

The staff were just so helpful. Where Carmen had sent information covering the various routes eg metro/bus etc to the Hostal which was really helpful and the lerfect way to start your stay. I had a few challenges trying to work the safe, so I needed to keep asking for help. It wasn't a problem, so it made me feel very much at home. Excellent location with info on local attractions etc available and helpful info provided to help navigate my way around. Thank you, Carmen!

There's nothing I can think of. Unlike Barcelona, where wifi and mobile data could be patchy, this wasn't a problem here.

Property is quite secure, with multiple keyed doors until your room, so I felt that I was safe and my work computer and personal items were secure. Fold out table was a very decent size and functioned perfectly for working remotely. Good sized bed for one, with great hot shower. Room #1 has no outside view, but is likely the best room to have peace and quiet.

The room's safe (caja fuerte) did not operate properly even when the staff used the metal key to try and reset it. Unfortunately, there is no ventilation in the room, and since Europe operates on hot water in winter for its heaters, the hot showers are really good...BUT also *really* steamy. The small room grew condensate and steam quite quickly, so the floors and even linen became damp. Strongly advise to run the AC and open the window during showers no matter the temperature outside. Also, the heater has no specific setting for when it turns on, so some times it may operate and be warm and some times it won't. Sink is outside bathroom, and I think is way too high for people whose height is under 1.70m. TV remote was undecipherable, but no time to watch, anyway!

The hotel is at a very central location, so you can walk to all the touristy places of Madrid. Also it is clean, and good ebligh for a night. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. They were quick to let us know all the public transport connections in Madrid even at 12 am at night.

It is way too small, so I would stay there only for a day, that too only if I'm spending the entire day out. One cannot really spend an entire day inside the room.

I was sent all the information I needed to get to the hotel by metro from the airport.It was in a good location close to the Sol metro,resteraunts and bars. Within easy reach by metro to The Bernebau stadium. The room was clean and spacious enough. The shower was excellent and the area was quiet at night with little disturbance. I would recommend the hotel as a good budget hotel.

We arrived very late from the airport, they had a desk still operating, they didn’t bother us with papers or whatever, gave us they keys immediately to a clean comfortable room, we slept well. Next morning we checked out after a shower, and went on exploring Madrid, the location is great for that.

The shower and bathroom were small. And I wished the person at the desk knew better English.

Great location just off Gran Via, felt safe, it's comfortable, clean and staff are helpfull. Aircon good, water hot, most things you need from a room.

Hard to find as its just a doorway in between 2 shops. No milk with the coffee, Street noisy over night but not the hotels fault, no soap dish/shelf in the shower.

Best location ever, fair price for what it offers. Staff is really nice and help you with any trouble you might have 💖💖💖💖💝💝💝💝

Nothing really. If i must say something, it was kind of hard to get the shower at the eight temperature, but it might be me.
