The staff were excellent!!!

No tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Prices for alcohol were quite high, and €6 for a cup of tea is pretty steep!

I am impressed that the hotel arranged the uppermost floor for us given that we wrote in advance about the purpose of this trip (i.e. celebrate birthday for my girlfriend). She is more than pleased with the birthday wishes on the mirror in the room. We appreciate the warm gesture. Besides, I enjoyed the convenience of on-site parking in the hotel. The location is also very good given that it is very close to many of the attractions in Lille City. The facilities provided is satisfactory and up to expectation.

Even though we are in the uppermost floor, still hear some noise at night after 11pm from the bar nearby. But the noise subdued after midnight so at least our sleep wasn't really affected.

Most of all I liked the staff who were all helpful and seemed to enjoy working there. I should give a special mention to Maria on reception and Geoffrey behind the bar who were exceptional. The breakfast was fab, lots of choice with a relaxed feel. The hotel was unique and quirky with a great atmosphere.

it was a quite warm weather when we stayed, the Air con wasn’t very good, we did report this and it was re-set but didn’t really make much difference. We did ask for a fan but unfortunately we were told they weren’t provided, we did open the window but then had to shut it as it was quite noisy you could hear music and the traffic. The room was clean, the bed very very comfortable but I found it hard to sleep as it was so hot.

loved it all! a little bit different 🤪 we loved the location ( we actually really enjoyed Lille as a whole) the bar and sun terrace were comfortable but with a cool vibe the arcade games machines were absolutely an inspired touch but ultimately the staff were unbelievable…..wow 👌🙌 agathe particularly and also Thomas and anour (?) made this stay amazingly easy and relaxing, going above and beyond to make us comfortable

at first we couldn’t find it as it was tucked away hidden in plain site……. but that became a plus point!

Great location for a weekend in Lille. It's a fun (and dog friendly) hotel with nice and clean rooms. They have a great bar where you can have a last drink and enjoy some music after your dinner in the city. Parking is safe and convenient. We also booked the Sunday brunch which we very much enjoyed, although it's a bit pricey.

We've stayed at other Mama Shelter hotels before and the rooms are great but we found the bathroom is this Mama Shelter quite outdated.

Breakfast was amazing. The best hotel breakfast i have ever had. So much choice including lots of healthy options as well.

The only negative thing about our stay was that every night there was really loud music from the bar which we could hear quite loud in our room. The music would play till 00:30 so had to shut the window to block out some of the noise.

Clean and neat room. Perfect location in the city heart. We traveled by car and there is a garage attached to the hotel. About 19 euro’s a day I think it was. The hotel is also located very good if you like to travel by train as it is across the train station. The hotelbar is popular in the weekend. Great hotel if you want to explore Lille!

Early in the morning we would wake up because of the speaker installation of the nearby train station. With the windows closed it was no problem. Except, than it was simply to hot in the room during the nights. Even with the heating off.

The staff are SUPER friendly and helpful. The downstairs bar is lovely and the dj is great. Lovely food and drinks. Would stay again

The roof terrace is covered, only partially open around the edge. Room service was advertised on the tv but we had to order at reception and collect. The aircon was broken in our room so we were upgraded (which worked out well). The phone was broken in that room and the sower leaked onto the floor but it was a lovely room all the same!

Style, friendliness of the staff, restaurant menu (breakfast and dinner), flexibility to bring my dinner to my room. Very enjoyable stay!!

I felt that it was a little overpriced... had no choice as i was booking 2 weeks before my trip. unlikely to come again unless it is lower. Other point is that the music was quite loud and i heard it from my 4th floor room (not considering the Fete de la Musique on 21st June as it was expected!)

The Hotel is located near the train station (5 min walk), which was perfect for us. We could easily walk to the old town from the hotel. The design of the hotel is fantastic, the staff was great and the bar during nighttime was a great place to hang out.

Saturday night was a little noisy because of the party on the roof top. It was hard to fall asleep.
