Hôtel Saint Maurice

The hotel is not new but extremely conveniently located for Euro and Lille main rail stations, grand Place and other tourist sights in the centre of Lille. It's next to St Maurice church in a pedestrianised area, so very quiet. Many bars and restaurants very close. The staff were helpful, the room was small but spotlessly clean, the furniture was old, public areas were a bit shabby, but it's well maintained. We would definitely come back here again.

A more than adequate 2star hotel with an old fashioned French feel, clean, water hot and a splendid shower head giving a good whoosh. There was someone around all the time so coming in late at night felt safe. It was in a good place, about 10 minutes walk from Lille Europe station and very close to Lille old town, walking distance to anywhere you could want to go to. The hotel offered to make a range of stuff that could have been forgotten dental pack, charger leads, sewing kit available etc which could have been very useful. Staff were the highlight, charming, helpful and with very good English should you need it.

Not much, 2star hotels are pretty basic, it goes with the price, but this was a very good example of how it can be done. It would have been good if hanging space for dresses etc had been available as well as good space and hangers for, the shorter, skirts and jackets.

Everything about this hotel was simple: I arrived early and they let me stow my bags in their luggage storage. They gave me a choice of a shady room or a room with a view in the hottest day on record (I took the view, take the view, it's spectacular), they even rang me afterwards to let me know I'd left a book in my room. The only problem was, it wasn't my book. I hope they managed to track down the guest.

This is a very traditional French hotel room, which means it is tiny. Provided you don't mind tiny rooms, it's fine.

If you are lucky, as I was, you see Saint-Maurice church through the window. Anyway, the location is perfect: just 3-4 minutes from the railway station (and metro) but in a surprisingly calm area. The room was rather average - nothing special, nothing to complain. The staff is helpful.

Concerning breakfasts: there are rather poor; the better option is to buy something in the boulangerie 20 meters away from the hotel and then eat it with coffee in a Le Noailles coffee 100 meters away.

Nice quaint Hotel in central location based a couple of minutes walk from Lille Flandres station and in a quiet street viewing onto the cathedral.

The breakfast was continental which was fine, but there could maybe a bit more selection of cheese or cold meat. Also it would have been nice to have the option of having a another cup of coffee....maybe an idea would be to have coffee/tea machine in dining room area.

would have been nice to have shower gel inside the shower instead of these little paper bags which are not really ecological

Decent sized room, spotlessly clean, and serviced to a high standard everyday. The location of the hotel was perfect - just a few minutes from everything you could want to see in Lille. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good and I really enjoyed my stay.

Within walking distance from the train station, it is a nice hotel if you need a base to visit Lille. Cleaned, easy check-in/out and possibility to leave the luggage.

Rooms are very small and the door of the bathroom is very thin. But okay if you stay just one or two nights!

This is a fairly basic hotel with friendly staff and it is in an ideal position if you are travelling by train- just a couple of minutes walk from Lille Flandres and about ten minutes from Lille Europe. There are also plenty restaurants and the picturesque centre of Lille just a short step away

the facilities were nice and clean, very comfy bed, nice staff, good view and location at the epi centre of lille but still in a quiete neighbourhood!

the rooms weren't really noise isulated especially by the door.. the noice coming from the halls did wake us up...
