Hotel L'Arbre Voyageur - BW Premier Collection - LILLE

Well situated and modern hotel within walking distance to the quaint old part of Lille. Spacious rooms and bathroom with really comfortable beds, and the environmentally friendly initiatives were very much appreciated, especially when rewarded with a cocktail on their sunny terrace . The hotel staff bent over backwards to make my husband's birthday a very special event, and he loved the breakfast in bed with champagne. The Restaurant Jane is a real gastronomic adventure. We strongly recommend this hotel and will be back next year. Thank you very much.

We loved everything about the hotel.

The room was a good size. The bed was ever so comfy and clean, I could sleep forever in that bed. The shower was great, nice and warm with a good strength on the water jets. The breakfast was good quality and worth the cost. Also the Coffee pod machine in the room was welcomed. Lille also seemed like a nicer destination than I originally thought.

I don't have any negatives.

This was our second time at this hotel! The most comfortable bed and pillows. Clean, tea and coffee in room, safe and mini bar which was included (non alcoholic). If you keep your towels and do not get refills (shower gel etc) you get a token in exchange for wine at the bar downstairs 😁 We were originally given a shower but there no problem when we asked to swap for a bath. They were extremely accomodating. We paid extra for breakfast but it was great value for money with a great choice. Great location - 10mins walk to Lille Europe and 7 min to Lille Flanders. Have not eaten in their 2 restaurants but one was fully booked and the other was fairly busy. Looks like a popular spot. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Would definitely stay again!!!

Room was quiet and well equipped. We opted to have it cleaned daily as otherwise there would not have been enough toilet rolls and also we require bins to be emptied daily. Therefore, we did not take up the offer of a free drink if we had no housekeeping for 2 days. The evening taster menu at the Jane restaurant was excellent as were the staff on that evening. The reception staff were very good and helped with advice on cultural visits

Breakfast quality on the first morning was good as it is quite expensive but not on the second as despite being quiet the food items were not replaced and the coffee that came out of a machine was not of a good taste. However, the receptionist took our comments on board and refunded us accordingly. Good customer service.

Excellent location, 10 min level walk from Eurostar station, less than 5 mins from centre, along with handy underground parking meters away at Opera. Reception staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Early check-in arranged. Good rooms, free mini-bar, eco-friendly amenities, great walking shower and mini home made chocolate bar from the in-house patisserie. Excellent food options within hotel including in-house bakery / patisserie, bistro and full restaurant, plus option for light snacks in the central courtyard. Service and friendliness of staff was faultless.

Limited number of hangers in wardrobe, open bathroom partially obscures when using shower so for the shy this needs a little navigating. Otherwise no other considerations.

Excellent location. Good hotel with good size rooms. Great staff members. Always willing to go the extra mile to help you and make you stay memorable. Our mini bar fridge wasn't working when we checked in. Staff tried everything to get it going but failed. They offered to keep our dog food in their bar fridge but we opted for an ice bucket instead. Next day morning they replaced the fridge with a working one. Front desk staff were amazing and very helpful. Thank you.

We thought we will try the breakfast on the day we were checking out. Its very expensive in my opinion with very less choice. Anyway we decided to try it. Went to the restaurant and spotted hair amongst the food item inside the tray. Mentioned this to the waitress. She just took the hair out and left the food as it is and left. Not even an apology or didn't change the food. This was a no no for us and we left without having anything. Mentioned it to reception staff and they were very apologetic about it. Anyway, I think their breakfast is way too expensive for what's available. We found plenty of choice outside.

Location is perfect for both Lille Europe and Flanders, and all the central sights of the city. Staff were very friendly and helpful (thank you to Clemence who checked me in and was lovely). Always said hello when you walked past the desk. Room was v comfortable. Huge shower. I didn’t try the restaurants so cannot comment on food or breakfast.

The road is quite noisy outside, however the windows do a very good job of masking this. As a light sleeper I struggled a little with having a room by the elevator, but I probably should have specified this when booking! :)

The Staff .Excellent (Without exception) The Reception staff were particularly good and spoke everytime you were passing through reception. David was excellent at explaining how things were and places to see.

The use of the Inner Courtyard as a smoking space .Groups talking affected all those whose rooms overlooked the courtyard . Putting it bluntly the number of people inconvenienced by the smokers is greater than the number of smokers . As the hotel became busier we were disturbed both early evening and first thing in the morning.

Friendly staff, comfy bed, location (close to Grand place & opera), close to parking garage, lovely room - prestige king - with great room facilities. Quiet room requested & given.

View outside window not the best - especially as there were road works which have been going on for months. (Wasn’t noisy though!) Never tried the Jane restaurant even though it has good reviews. The menu is not specific enough & apparently changes frequently, but we need to know in advance what the choice is, so we usually go out to eat.

great location, really friendly, helpful staff. My husband forgot his phone charger, we asked the reception staff where we could buy one and they found a spare to loan us, fabulous service. The hotel communal areas are lovely, we enjoyed having drinks every evening in the bar. Parking in the Opera underground car park is right next door and reasonable priced. Bed was comfortable and very quiet despite being on a busy road.

There was no guide book, instructions in the room. We’d have appreciated some tourist information, a room service menu, breakfast details, general welcome guide. This is a small thing though and really being picky as overall the hotel is lovely and we have no complaints.
