Grotthuss Boutique Hotel Vilnius

Bigger rooms, great location, excellent staff. My room was flooded, although I suggested a whole bottle of wine to erase the trauma ( lol ) I got the tiny one only;). I would recommend it.

You need to pay for coffee capsules in your room, that was a bit of a shocker:( Breakfast - found the same bread in a basket 2 days in a row, same crumbles on the breakfast table. Would be good to see the place cleaned once in a while.

Lovely spacious room overlooking the central courtyard (Business room). Superb bathroom, separate sitting area and desk. Shared areas of the hotel spacious and clean. Good position in easy walking distance of both the Old Town and Railway Station. Staff helpful.

Not keen on two single beds pushed together but was okay. Never did get the TV or heating working but to be fair never asked for any assistance. No tea making facilities. There was a coffee machine in the room but there was a charge of 1.8 euro per small cup.

Great location, balcony in room, lovely breakfast, wonderful and accommodating staff, fair price!

The staff was extremely kind and respectful. They also were very quick to help with any request. The room was also very spacious, the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast is great and there is enough choice of food. The location is very good. You are a few minutes away from 2 supermarkets and the market hall. You can go to a lot of different parts of the city by going to a (trolley) bus stop within a 10 minute walk. The train station is also a 10 minute walk. Cathedral square is approximately a 15 minute walk. Overall, it was an amazing stay.

There is nothing negative that would be in their control. The hotel is located in proximity to some bars, which might cause some noise when clients of those bars go home at night via the street of the hotel.

The Grotthuss Boutique Hotel Vilnius really surpassed our expectations (as did Vilnius and Lithuania in general too <3 ). It is first of all very conveniently located and in a really quiet area, which made for amazing sleep (the very comfy beds surely help too). It is a historical place where the staff really is knowledgeable about its history. If you stay here, ask them about the person Mr. Grotthuss!! Our room was incredibly spacious and luxurious and the bathroom was a dance hall in size! Amazing! We booked without breakfast, as we had a few early morning plans, such as a balloon flight (highly recommended to do this in Lithuania(). However, when we saw the breakfast and the garden where you can enjoy your breakfast, we booked one extra. It is worthwhile! As we rented a car for one day to drive to the Trakai Castle, we needed a safe parking space. The staff was very helpful once we explained this, to book a parking spot inside behind the gate. All in all, excellent helpful and friendly staff, who made our trip an amazing one and one to remember in such a way that we hope to return very soon!!

I really cannot think of any point of improvement or something we liked less!

in the heart of the old town this is an exceptional hotel , our room was a business room with a terrace straight onto the courtyard Room far exceeded our expectations, newly refurbished and far above what we expected for the price . breakfast was wonderful , salmon , herring , cheeses , cakes , cereal , fruit , yoghurts with omelettes , baked eggs and pancakes cooked to order . staff and a little stiff but very professional highly recommend this as a base to discover a fascinating city

We were welcomed by the service manager, kasparas, whose attentiveness and helpfulness throughout our stay was exceptional. Our room was clean and spacious; the staff were friendly and went out of their to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious with wonderful local crepes on offer and a wide selection of fruit, pastries and other delicacies. There is a spa attached to the hotel with excellent masseurs and a wine bar with a wide selection of French wines ….. this hotel was a real find.

Genuinely - nothing it was very good

We’ve been travelling for five weeks and this was our favourite hotel of the trip. The hotel has a great ambiance, we liked the large courtyard garden where you can sit and eat breakfast or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening when the hotel’s wine bar is open. The staff deserve a special mention - friendly, efficient and everyone we encountered spoke good English. They are a credit to the hotel. The location is handy for visiting the Old Town and river, also the exceptional new Modern Art Gallery, and some good restaurants nearby too.

The staff was amazing and helpful all the way. We had quite a long stay and they even remembered our morning coffee orders. My wife enjoyed the breakfast buffet of local fish and meats, and the coffee was very good. The location is great, very easy to get around in old town, and not too far from the train station either. We loved having a bathtub in the room. Housekeeping was very efficient but gave us our peace when we needed it. The staff really made our stay comfortable.

The hotel restaurant is open for events, which often meant lots of noise until late night. Weather was very hot, so without AC we wanted to keep the windows open. You either choose between cool air or quiet, so if you prefer an early sleep, I can't recommend this one. For my fellow vegans: I messaged the restaurant about my plant based diet early on, and they replied that they'd add some vegan options. They had some fresh vegetables and fruit which I was happy with, but had I wanted a heartier breakfast, there wasn't anything even close to the omnivore options. Staff went above and beyond to accomodate me, but couldn't offer something that wasn't there, of course.

Spacious room with a nice bathtub and good breakfast, the hotel has a unique style and an excellent location (in the middle of the old town). Also, it was very quiet, not too full and the staff was helpful. It definitely has a boutique hotel vibe compared to big hotel chains (I very much prefer that). I've stayed there twice and both times were great.

The only thing I didn't like was that the coffee capsules for the coffee machine in the room are not free (2eur per capsule) which is not a lot but I don't want to be bothered re paying for it, etc. :)
