Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong

Lovely, friendly staff who were always willing to help or solve any issues in logical ways. The corner non-water facing room was nice. Everything you’d expect from a 5 star hotel. L’Occitaine bath products and free mini bar with stuff you’d actually want were nice touches. Pool is very picturesque.

Pool is social media worthy but there is limited seating around and it’s not that big meaning it’s not a place to go to relax especially if families are around. Dockyards seems to have lost some of its allure as there were pretty limited options there and the food wasn’t very good. Didn’t have the hotel’s breakfast. Small thing, but the windows should have automated curtains.

Beautiful views of the harbour and Hong Kong. The lounge on the 8th floor hasn’t changed since we last stayed 4 years ago but it’s still comfortable, well appointed, great selection of food and drinks and the staff are absolutely 1st class. Attentive and always smiling and friendly. Our favourite spot is in the far left corner as it has the best views. Also love it when walking in the heat and humidity from nearby Whampoa to be greeted by the cool and wonderfully scented lobby. I asked about the scent last time I stayed but forgot what it was.

The main breakfast area on the 3rd floor gets a bit overcrowded.

Nice hotel with city view and harbour view. Very big lobby. They provide 24 hours gym service and very nice infinity edge swimming pool. Housekeeping and room security is very professional.

I spent more than an hour for checking in 7 rooms. The recetion gave a reason that Thai people has long names and check-out process is an hour as well beacuse the same staff key in the wrong room rates and another one has tried to figured out.

I stayed in this hotel totally 11 nights for this trip. Location is good, close to MTR station. The hotel is close to all amenities but not right in the ‘centre of Hong Kong’ therefore the hotel rooms are big and comfortables.

The king bed in my room is sagging, not comfortable. I have been switching from the right side to the left side and then back to the middle of the bed when I slept. Carpiet is dirty in the room and shower area has not been cleaned properly.

Room was fantastic and Angie at reception took good care of us by giving us a rest room as our flight had arrived very early. The room had a great view of the harbour. A little way off from the central point as we had to use the Uber very often to go the the main attractions. Breakfast had a huge spread which catered to all tastes. Go early as it tendered to get busy from 9am.

The lobby lounge could have closed a little later since it was the festive period.

During the breakfast time, when I ask for coffee and the service lady says the coffee is self serve , I need to find coffee machine and grab by myself . but when i find the coffee machine try to make my own coffee and another service lady come ask for reason and say sorry to me. she said the customer no need to do this, they will help me. the strange thing is other customer come to the canteen, service person will help them to order the coffee and grab to the table. and when i ask for the coffee is self serve. feel very odd why the canteen service person give me different customer service than others and give me the bad experience in this canteen and this hotel.

I liked the view, and how close it was to the Whampoa district. I also feel like the staff were willing to help out with any requests that we had. And finally, the room was truly comfortable!

I feel as though the amenities provided in the bathroom for guest use were not as good as could be expected for a 5-star hotel. Also, we noticed that the dim sum menu was a bit more narrow, and the taste was perhaps a little less striking, than we were hoping for.

Beautiful hotel with modern design. Exceptional cleanliness and what stood out was the service. The service exceeded my expectations. I needed to make a trip back to take my things out of the storage. The staff from the front desk, to housekeeping, and to the concierge went above and beyond to help me move my storage boxes to the room and helped me with moving all of my items that needed to be donated. It would've otherwise been such a stressful experience and I could not have done out without the team from the Kerry Hotel who were so personable, respectful and happy to help. Service also exceeded expectations, in terms of communication and thinking ahead of the customer-Customer service is about the little details from the manner to how guest services promptly returns calls and answers my calls, to how concierge immediately helps me with the door and luggage. I also had called about the check out time and I did not even need to make a late check out request, but guest services immediately asked if I would like one knowing that I had checked in in the middle of the night. Another example of the attention to detail to customer service was when my partner and I were in the lobby and my partner was looking for a rubbish bin and concierge immediately approached him to help him with the garbage. When we left the hotel in a taxi, concierge was so kind to just even wave goodbye to us In addition, I am quite particular about cleanliness. The room was spotless (Including new mildew at all in the bathroom!) I also really liked the air purifier in the room. We had also celebrated our anniversary, and were so pleasantly surprised with a beautiful chocolate heart box with macaroons and chocolates inside. I have also been a long time Marriott Bonvoy member and the service at the Kerry Hotel definitely outshines a horrible experience I had at the Sheraton.

The location may not be the most central for Hong Kong--but there is easy access to the MTR. As well, I'm not sure what the service personnel's position is (I think security?) -But there is a service personnel who wears black and stands in the lobby-I understand his job may be security however, I did find it uncomfortable at times, as he will just stand there and stare at customers making direct eye contact then, looking at them up and down without even saying a greeting. This staring and profiling was certainly uncomfortable.

Property was very clean and modern looking! Love that their gym is 24 hours which was a really big plus to night owls like me. It was also very near Wampoa station just a 10 min walk you are there which is a plus. They also have a foodcourt style restaurants down at the lobby which is very convenient if you dont want to leave the hotel anymore plus a starbucks also.

Breakfast buffet was a little expensive + taxes, many choices of food in their selection though and the ambience was great.
