InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong, an IHG Hotel

Fantastic location with beautiful view of Victoria Harbour. 10 minute walk from busy Nathan road and Tsim Sha Tsui shopping district. Great variety of eateries in the area ranging from street food vendors to upscale restaurants. Our room on the 9th floor is over 30 square meters - super spacious by Hong Kong standards. For fitness enthusiasts, an easy walk across a footbridge brings you to the seaside promenade where you can walk or run while enjoying some of the best views of Hong Kong Island.

My only "complaint" is that the hotel has a slightly dated look, especially in the guest rooms. However, to me this does not take away from its many advantages.

bed very comfortable, nice harbor view on high floor, staffs were very nice. good location not far from MTR. many restaurants and cafés around.

I booked room for 3 persons with Victoria view and when checked in I got the room on 4th floor with new renovations , was nice but low floor almost see only road and bridge, in room had only one set towel in bathroom, extra bed not prepared, the 3rd night I requested to change the room and they were nice gave room on 11th floor, but again we got no towels set , this room was a bit old. they came later for setting up extra bed but no blanket, when I requested, they brought me the bed cover had to ask again. I took it easy but just thought things like this shouldn’t happen here at the 5 stars hotel.

The fact that I couldn't change my dates as I had a family emergency and had to leave the hotel early. And booking.com stated I needed to contact the property but the property told me booking.com should have resolve this. So I won't be booking anything on booking.com again.

The view over the Victoria Harbour from the room was amazing. The breakfast selection was wide and everything was really tasty. The rooftop pool was really nice. Overall it was a really nice conservatively luxurious place. It had it's charm. It had the classical attributes of luxury. In my opinion, some thing could be more modern, but I guess I am just not the target audience. The rooms were quite big, for Hong Kong, they were really big. The space was well divided. The pillow menu was exquisite.

Sometimes, the response from the staff seemed cold and non-attentive. The other times, I have felt like the staff (front desk) is suggesting, that I do not belong to the place. Maybe it was just in my head, but I did not feel much welcome in the hotel. Also most of the furniture and room equipment seemed a bit old and dated. The quality of the materials was really good, but I feel a modernisation would be helpful. But again... maybe I am just a different target group.

This hotel was a repeat stay for us. We love the location of this hotel within walking access to the Star Ferry, K11 Musea and MTR connections both at Hung Hom and Tsim Sha Tsui. We also found it good value for money. You get excellent views of Victoria Harbour depending on the room type

The hotel was slightly dated but ultimately not an issue for us. However, we had to walk a very long way even on the top floor (there is no elevator access to the 18th floor) and the Club Floors do not seem to have any superior amenities or even furnishings compared to other regular floors (but can't say about the suites as we didn't stay in those rooms)

the bar in the main foyer area needs to improve its a beautiful steak house bar magnificent layout and in a great spot BUT its to cold ,there is nothing welcoming about it , no music at all and no atmosphere. they manager needs to lighten up make the staff more friendly ,make it a nice place to relax and enjoy its just to sterile unfortunately ,one last thing its the only bar in the hotel but we went across the road to a street side bar four nights in a row because the bar in intercontinental doesn't open till 5 o'clock and there is nobody in there its like they don't want customers and finally its really expensive needs to change for sure ,I think an attitude change would greatly help

The view was nice. The room was good, except for the bathtub as I like showers more. Bathtubs are a hazard waiting to happen. But the water pressure was very good. The staffs were very friendly. The location of the hotel is very good. Rooms are kept very clean. Public area all very clean. Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to try the restaurants. Will have to on our next trip.

Just the bathtub. Showering space would have been better. I don't like to step over the edge of the bathtubs risking slipping. Plus, my son is still small. He had a hard time climbing in and out of the tub.

Location is great and walking along the river is wonderful. Lots of great restaurants in the area, and not overly crowded. The staff are friendly, and the bar on the lobby floor is fabulous. Food is pretty good as well.

We booked this property for the location and views, but they were unable to give us a room facing the river. Considering this was the main reason we chose to stay here, it was quite disappointing. The second reason why we chose to stay at the Intercontinental was the fitness room, but during our stay there were several leaks in both fitness rooms, so some equipment could not be used. They just had buckets and towels on the floor and no repairs were made during our one week stay.

Location was very good, room was not huge but very practical, excellent bathroom and shower and comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was excellent.

I had been asking for several weeks before travel if interlocking rooms could be confirmed, and was told before arrival that this could only be done at check-in. At check in was told this was not possible. It was only until I voiced my disappointment that the interlocking rooms became available. In the end we were well taken care of by the hotel which is the main thing, and would certainly go back - but do feel that this could have been handled better by the hotel. I also think that bookings.com should include the option for interlocking rooms.

loved the Intercontinental club experience. private, convenient, exceptional service.

not much to complain about, need some deep cleaning in shower, mould buildup on shower door and ceiling.
