Villa Lara Hotel

The location and the staff were 10++. Loved them all. The hotel was also very clean and they went above and beyond to satisfy, which was greatly appreciated. Definitely recommend.

The pull out couch was really our only compliant. It was not comfortable. Not sure if there is such a thing a comfortable one, but that was our only issue. I did not give the highest for value, but some of that was timing. When I was able to book early, I had a great rate. Unfortunately, when I booked within a month of wanting to stay, coupled with the time of year, the price was much higher. That being said, the staff and their hospitality made it worth the extra.

Location was superb Room design & size were excellent - furniture & beds very comfortable & clean Bathrooms wel stocked with towels & robes Staff were extremely helpful

We thought breakfast a little pricey so we ate elsewhere Toiletries in bathroom very unappealing Needed Privacy curtains on bedroom windows - some sort of sheer blind or nets needed

We loved the staff and especially the 2 concierges, Kimberly and Laura. They went way beyond what would normally be expected. The location of the hotel was perfectly situated for exploring the town and the invasion sites.

It could have been a little better if they had a larger offering for their service , although what they did have was of high quality. My wife did enjoy the breakfast menu.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The hotel is relatively small but of high quality and right in the centre of town, The breakfast was lovely. The hotel had its own car park.

The bar area (where they serve excellent drinks including vintage calvados) is quite small so quickly gets full up but there are several other options within a 1 or 2 minute walk so it really wasn't a problem.

The hotel was under new ownership and has a lovely quirky feel about it, The staff were really friendly as was the owner who made sure he met us. The Hotel is just on the edge of the old town and a few minutes walk from anywhere. The rooms were exceptional, Clean, good sized and lovely views, We will go back to Bayeux and we will definitely rebook this hotel

The location is central to all Bayeux landmarks. It is also very centrally located to Normandy. There are many restaurants within walking distance as well. The staff is incredibly professional and helpful. I truly cannot say enough about this hotel as it was the most perfect stay we have ever had anywhere! The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. I highly recommend Villa Lara if a person is visiting Bayeux and Normandy.

I have stayed in hundreds of hotels in my life but I have to say from the moment we arrived it felt as if we were home. The staff are the loveliest people you could hope to meet and beyond knowledgable. The hotel and the room was sublime. So tastefully decorated and warm I truly wish I could live here! Bayeux and it’s people are beautiful! We will be returning and bringing friends and family with us. Thank you for the most amazing experience, you are all truly incredible 🙏🏻🙌🏻♥️ 10/10 🌟 🌟 🌟🌟🌟

Breakfast was fine, both in quality of food and of service. Also offered takeout to us for sightseeing trip. Staff was a pleasure to deal with. Room service both timely and immediate. Staff made restaurant suggestions and reservations

Nothing. The modern state of the hotel together with the older look of the town was well integrated. . The overall atmosphere experienced was great. Truly one of the finer hotels I experienced in my 50 plus years in business.

Location in middle of town is very central but quiet. You can walk everywhere. Nice property with very charming staff. Room was very big.

Breakfast was VERY expensive for frankly not a very good breakfast so suggest you walk 50 meters into town and go to one of the many cafe's there.

The staff was incredible, I mean incredible! This was not a cheap stay but worth every penny because of the staff. The hotel is beautiful and the breakfast is great. Our room was amazing too! Thank you for making this such a memorable time for us.
