Vipa Tropical Resort

First off, if you want hotel staff to speak and understand English perfectly, and you don’t like Thai food for breakfast, you might want to reconsider coming to Thailand altogether, because those expectations are unrealistic. My review should be viewed through that lens: The photos of this resort do not do it justice. The sprawling cliffs right above your head are unreal. Our actual villa was immaculate. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and they always made sure we had everything we needed at the best possible price. They were a one-stop shop for all of our touristy desires! The customer service was unmatched anywhere else we went in Thailand, which already has a very high standard for customer service. The free breakfast options were delicious, and it was more than enough to keep us full and happy :). They also offered a few a la carte options for a small charge (I recommend the French toast)! All in all, one of the best free hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had! As far as location goes, it is maybe a 5 minute drive to Ao Nang beach, and Vipa offers free, regularly scheduled shuttle service to the beach all day. They will also drop you at your preferred location along the beach. I should also note that there are several great restaurants and coffee shops about a block down the road from the resort, if you’re tired and don’t feel like riding into town for food or drinks. Like many other tourists we met, we stayed in Ao Nang and hung out at Railay and the surrounding islands during the day. The boat rides were quick, reasonably priced, and very easy to get at any time of day. If you want true beachfront property, this isn’t the place for you. I will say that I initially wanted that as well, but all of the hotels and resorts on the beach were more expensive than Vipa, and none held a candle to them, in terms of lodging quality and amenities. We went to the beach every day we were there, and I didn’t regret the choice of location for one second.

The price was excellent for a large family villa. The villa is big and modern, but the kitchen does not have any facilities to actually cook. But anyway most of the tourists eat out or order food anyway. The location is a bit off the main road in a quiet area, but that we were looking for to avoid nightlife noise. The garden is beautiful, the pool is in the green with a stunning view at the mountain. A free shuttle was provided to the town center or beach. The latter was a 15 min walk away, so very doable as well. Breakfast was included but there is a space for improvement, a good coffee would make it excellent. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Everything is wonderful! The hotel is situated in a little street (away from Ao Nang beach 12 min by walk), it is surrounded by tropical garden, facing to the limestone which give you the peaceful and tropical vibe, so beautiful. The location is good, away from the hassle but easy access to the main street where you can find easily the local food, drink and walk up to the beachfront with more chic restaurant and cafe. The service is amazing, the staffs are more than happy to assist you in anything to you need with warm service mind. Khun Eiam was super kind to provide me shuttle transfer to Ao Nang beach everyday, the staff at the breakfast is so welcoming and make sure you get everything you need. The room is spacious and clean, you can require to have your room cleaned everyday if you wish to. They top up 2 bottles of water, sachet of coffee and tea, towels in your room everyday. The breakfast is pretty big, the fruit plate is served first before your main dish arrive. The stay at Vipa Resort definitely exceed my expectation, and thank you so much to the team for their great service.

We spent 4 nights and one more extra- that much we loved to place and it's manger. Highly recommended, clean, pretty, great service and amazing resturant 2 minutes walk - Curry Palace, you don't want to miss it. If you are don't like spicy ask "20% chilly". The place is very peaceful, a bit aside from the town noise. The hotel supply free taxi many times during the day. Koya who takes care of things in the hotel is extremley kind and helping. Giving excellent tips what to do and helps a lot in making reservation to different trips. the pool is great also for relax. highly recommended!!

if i have to - so the towels, blancket and toilet paper could be in a better quality.

If you search a hidden paradise in ao nang, you must go there. The staff is friendly and you feel like at home. Everything was great I recommend 200%

The location is lovely. You're off the main road leading to the beach which meant it was quiet at night. You're secluded underneath a beautiful cliff with trees everywhere and a lovely patio to sit outside at in the evening - the scenery is really top notch. Staff were really great too - very helpful with everything. There's a shuttle service leaving the hotel every 2 hours, but you can sometimes pay for them to take you out-of-hours, if you're not able to get a Grab or Lineman taxi. Having said that, it's only a 15 minute walk to the beach so you're never really constricted.

Please use bacon instead of ham for the breakfast. 😄

Huge bungalows, free shuttle service to beach. Nice little pool. Close to the ‘main drag’ and dozens of great little restaurants, but set in a quiet tropical garden setting with fabulous cliff backdrop. Staff made every effort to make stay great. Ao Nang a short long tail boat hop away from Railay beach which has lovely restaurant and bar scene.

Villa 110 had v noisy ac and doors/decking was adjacent to the pool. On arrival there was zero privacy if curtains open. Staff moved dozen or more tall potted shrubs to provide the screening. It made world of difference. 👍 We had good earplugs which was lucky as the ac was knackered and noisy. Get breakfast elsewhere - 0900 longtail to Railay!

This resort is amazing. It is so beautiful compared to the other places we've been in Thailand this summer holiday. The highlight is the combination of the garden with the little houses. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They helped us a lot, but also advised & arranged multiple sightseeing events on our request. Every morning a fresh breakfast is created on demand. They've a small menu, where you choose what you want. The pool is ok for a short dip

Nothing related to the resort. Good to know: It was the rainy season. Ao Nang had a lot of rain during our short stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabins are clean and comfortable, and the pool a great place for the kids. The grounds are quiet, away from the busy main road, with a lot of vegetation, with cliffs just in the background. We did not take the breakfast option but the dining area is a very relaxing spot. They offer free transport to the beach about every other hour (and return) during the day and evening. Plenty of restaurant options within walking distance. More pricy than what we usually look for but it was good value. Would definitely book here again.

Location was great, Villas were good. Small team doing a great job. Wasn’t that occupied when I was there. A short walk from main road and not far from beach, walked from AoNang beach several times. They do provide shuttle service. Overall great stay and will consider going back with no problem.

Chlorine in the pool was quite a lot better that eyes were burning. Although small, decent for a short swim. Wish there something for kids.
