Aonang Phu Pi Maan Resort & Spa - SHA Extra Plus

the location of the resort is perfect for families. it has a free shuttle to Ao Nang beach but just a few steps outside the resort (turn right then right) there is a night market and a restaurant that has one of the best Thai food we have tasted. there are lots of tour companies as well where we booked are Island tours. the value is really amazing. the amenities and service were also perfect, the rooms were spacious. there is a buggy service to help you. we also had the spa package which was perfect after touring around Phi Phi Islands. 100% recommend for families we traveled with a 1 year old and occupied 3 rooms.

Amazing bathroom and bedroom. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Pools were all lovely (there are 3), but the lower two were dirty with leaves (wind to blame). Laundry service just around the corner.

Location was a bit too far out for me as you either had to get a tuk tuk or wait foe the shuttle (if it came). So what would have been a great value hotel, added up due to transport. Staff didn't speak functional English, which made explaining things hard (my Thai isn't functional either). They are pleasant though. Breakfast is generous but unappetising. No decent restaurants up this end of town. Dark uphill dodgy walk feom main road to hotel.

Quiet and remote location ideal for families and people who like not to be disturbed. Staff is kind and welcoming. Rooms are clean and comfortable with some interesting design choices. There is a free transfer on hourly basis to Aonang and back to the hotel which is super useful. Funny thing was that three times we ordered tuna sandwich and three times it was a bit different - but I liked that actually.

Design of outer places can cause a lot of trouble to older or partially impaired people (like myself). Stairways on paths around villas, pool and toward restaurant are missing handrails and when they are present they are along the way blocked by a tree on several spots. The same goes for ramps which are short but very steep.

We stayed in Phu pi maan for 3 weeks and I wish we could have stayed longer. Staff was excellent, shout out to Gun and Sak who took a great care of all our needs throughout our stay. We felt welcomed and at home from day 1. The hotel also organised a Loy Krathong lantern making activity that we enjoyed. The hotel is honestly great value, compared to other hotels we stayed at. The room are very clean, spacious, great facilities, looks much fancier than in the pictures. Food and room service comes at very affordable price. Location is 2 min walk from main strip where food and shops. There are free transfers to the beach at various times throughout the day and arranges transport to anywhere else. internet was fast and stable thought the stay. We highly recommend Phu Pi Maan and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Ao Nang

The central location near the mosque was great for street food + walking down the main strip. The breakfast buffet was tasty and we liked our spacious too with walk out balcony. We didn't use the pools or spa but they looked nice.

When we raised a concern regarding our room, the manager was dismissive to the issue (stating it was something else). We left for the day and when we returned, after asking for compensation, we were moved to a different room - so thank you for that. Another thing to note is that the resort is on a steep hill - which may be difficult for some peoples' abilities.

The hotel is amazing, it has a fabulous view and the facilities (especially the bed and bath) are super comfortable. The staff are very friendly. Great location, 15 minutes walk to the center of ao nang or they have a shuttle that takes and brings to ao nang beach every hour.

The breakfast was not very varied and the same every day. It is not very accessible for people with limited mobility (some of the buildings without lifts and ramps). It has a Mosque that plays with loudspeakers 6 times a day, one of them is in the middle of the night and it woke me up every night as it is right next door,

The hotel has very good standard. They provide dressing gown, beach/swimming pool towel and even a very convenient beach bag. The room are big enough with very nice bathroom. The communicate room are a good thing for family. Walking distance for street food and also beach and shops, restaurants (around 25.minutes). However, you can use the free shuttle for go and back all along the day. The swimming pool is very nice too. The breakfast is good, with a good nescafe drinks machine (even hot chocolate).

We loved our stay here. The property is beautiful and the welcome is fantastic with a friendly face, a cool tea, and an icy cloth to cool off. The staff were so helpful and the pools were beautiful, well maintained, and clean. Breakfast was relatively good. The room was stunning and had great extras like a bag to take to the beach, umbrellas, and robes. The view from the hotel is amazing and feels like you’re in nature. While we were initially concerned about the location, it turned out to be just a two minute walk to the main road where there are heaps of restaurants, and maybe 15 minutes to the beach and tourist strip - but there was a free shuttle bus that ran almost every hour there and back so this was never a problem. All in all, we would book again in a heartbeat.

Breakfast could use a few more options perhaps, and we ordered some ice coffees that we didn’t like. The fitness room could use slightly better air conditioning.

This place was above expectations. We stayed in the spa room and it was so cool to be able to sit out of the balcony and overlook the mountains. Location is great, not far from Ao Nang beach. They have very regular shuttle buses to the beach and returning - the latest at 10:15pm. As a strict Muslim hotel they do not sell alcohol however there was a fridge in our room so we could sip these on our balcony if we wished and sipped on coconut shakes by the pool. The buffet breakfast has a mix of western and local options and while fairly basic it changed everyday which made it more interesting. Our bed was huge and extremely comfortable. All in all as two Aussie travellers this was a luxury experience we wouldn’t usually afford. Would definitely go back.

There is a hill and a it’s a bit of a hike up stairs to get to the main accomodation. Worth noting if you have any issues walking. Room service food and massage options were quite expensive but probably only to be expected from a mid budget hotel.

Friendly staff, a lot of space in the room, great view, long and nice pool, free shuttle to the beach few times a day. We were lucky to have a free room upgrade. The location was good, near to mosque, many stores and restaurants.

We had a problem with noise comming from the elevator, but we've got another room far away from it to solve a problem. What would be nice is to have some book with pricelist for spa and menu. A little minus for a restaurant. We wanted to order some snack half an hour before it was closing, but we couldnt order anymore. It would be good to have that information in a menu. Breakfast was avarage.
